- Carole Boyd is an actor whose many credits include nearly all the female voices in Postman Pat, and she just happens to play the role of Lynda Snell in The Archers.
She delivered a very entertaining after dinner address at Academic Archers 2019 conference in Sheffield.

I love this woman’s diction and articulation, accent and language. Superb.
As a sound engineer, I would work with Carole often. One day, I asked her whether she would mind me accompanying her when she next had a session on the Archers. She was only too happy. We both took the train that morning and I spent a very happy day seeing how the show was put together. Very happy memories.
Carole Boyd! I loved you as "Doris" in the 'Little Storyteller' partwork. My brother and I would fall asleep listening to you, and that's my earliest memory. Thanks for uploading. I'll be totally honest having been born in the early 90s, I mostly know Carole from Postman Pat. But the Miss Hubbard story was so funny 😂
