I thought that Max would be the "Steve" of the company when Steve and Terry retire and Craig would be "corporate" in the background, still making videos. I am honestly stunned that Max has other plans for his life. I do wish him the very best, but the whole dynamics change now. And I feel really sad. I don't cope well with change (I struggled when Joe left). It's like the end of an era. Three cheers for Max!

The first video I ever watched on this channel was "Terry's Caramel Cutting School" and Max was still learning the ropes. I always think back to the times where he was learning how to make ribbon candy. He's grown so much as a candymaker! Moving on has the same odd feel as the last of High School as you emptying a locker and carrying its contents out its familiar doors knowing your leaving more than what's inside it behind in memories. Indeed it's like a Graduation as well with its excitement and melancholy but without theres no Cap/Gown to turn in or a Tassel to hang from a rear view mirror afterwards. Knowing that he was family as he worked there is more of a Diploma than most get from a job and hopefully Max has or will find another that's just the same wherever he goes.....🚘

Max you will be missed very very much, you were so great, fitted right in. Always thought you'd take over some day, cause the kids didn't show much interest, till they started working there.

I had a feeling something was going on with Max, as the last handful of videos he was in he was either rarely shown or he just seemed more subdued and quieter. I’m guessing everyone at Hercules Candy have known about this for a little while.

Wow I remember when Max started working at the old place. Things have changed so much. It's sad to see him go but I wish him the best.
Moving on has the same odd feel as the last of High School as you emptying a locker and carrying its contents out its familiar doors knowing your leaving more than what's inside it behind in memories. Indeed it's like a Graduation as well with its excitement and melancholy but without theres no Cap/Gown to turn in or a Tassel to hang from a rear view mirror afterwards. Knowing that he was family as he worked there is more of a Diploma than most get from a job and hopefully Max has or will find another that's just the same wherever he goes.....🚘

After all that time together, and him and Steve being so close, the parents knowing each other, and them all going to school together the banter back and forth is going to be missing a lot... It just doesnt seem right that he just up and leave like that all of a sudden...
