Today I bring you Loser by Eikichi Yazawa and Ken Takahashi!
This is my first translation of something like this from Japanese to English, but I must say, it was quite enjoyable. I am still learning Japanese, of course, so some meanings may not have translated 100% accurately, but I tried my best.
So far, Yakuza 3 is about my favorite game in the Yakuza Series. It was very different from the other entries, but I just loved it. It was wholesome, I loved the characters, the plot, etc. I did not realize it even had a Japanese Intro Theme different from the versions outside of Japan, and when I realized it did, I was quite excited! ^U^
Then it turned out that no one had translated it..... : o
So, I translated it for both my studies and my OBSESSION WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL SERIES- Ahem! Ahem! Pardon me. I don't know where that came from. ....Not that it isn't true..... LOL!
Loser is quite the bop and definitely fits the Yakuza Spirit, in my opinion. I hope y'all enjoy!

Ok wow this is very catchy. I only know one song of Eikichi Yazawa, "Ari yo saraba" i think it's called, too bad it's no longer in youtube. But I love how this sounds, it slaps!
Okay so this is the opening of Yakuza 3 in the japanese version? If yes, I wish they didn't make changes at all for the international release.
Indeedy. I didn't even know ol' Yazawa took part in any Yakuza music, but turns out he's had at least a couple songs in it. One in Yakuza 3, and one in the Japanese Release for Yakuza 0, in the 80's greatest hits thing they made codes for, which unlocks Kiryu and Majima a walkman to listen to. (Can't remember the song in that one, though, sadly.)
@@LegendarySuperSaiyanFennekin Ok I looked into it and I'm just discovering this now. So kinda like MGS5 where you have a sony walkman with 80's songs but it's only for limited edition of yakuza 0 I read 🙁. Man, imagine walking around sotenbori while listening to a Yazawa song or a custom playlist 😏Also, you can understand japanese?

They even had Majima and Kiryu do some covers to songs and everything.
I'm learning Japanese, but I am not fluent or anything, sadly. If it's something, like, text I can copy paste, I can definitely translate since my Kanji reader works on copy paste text. I'm typically not totally lost when listening to Japanese audio, but...eh....mostly lost. LOL!
Ok. It made me remember not only the game, but also Ashita no Joe. Song has the same oppresive, yet hopeful vibes.
