You won't regret it. The cleats are extremely versatile and hold stuff more securely than pegboard. We did the same peg/cleat with our shop and never looked back.

Good idea for the wrench storage. I like storage ideas that come out from the wall rather than along the wall.
Yes! Thank you! Totally agree. With the small shop horizontal space is at a premium so stacking stuff like I did for the wrenches works pretty well.

I'm getting ready to redo my small shop. replacing the peg board with a french cleat sounds like just the thing I need. :)
