My GMA recorded it on VHS when it aired on tv sometime between '82-'86, I couldn't get enough of it as a 3-6yr old child. She recently died and all I requested was to be allowed to hunt for that VHS I hadn't seen since the late 80's. It's locked away in my safe now, it's special to me bc it's the oldest memory I can remember.

This is an absolutely brilliant film. Terrific characters, beautiful music, it's dark and edgy while still being funny and humane. And the utterly badass Sir Neville's last stand ranks as the greatest moment of Manly Tears.

First thing is first, to find out exactly how much music is in The Flight of Dragons... we could then create a package to send to the composer and get his two cents :-)

REMAKKEEEEE PLEAAAASE. This film is what got me into medieval things, fantasy tales, the works, this film was a good part of my childhood and has affected my entire life, its amazing and I love it with all my heart
Why would you wish for it to be remade if you love it? I don't understand the idea behind it. The animation may be dated but everything else is top notch, adult-ish dialogue and legendary voice actors who aren't with us anymore or very old. What would redoing it bring to the table, nothing.
honestly everything about this movie is just great, i hope to one day live to see a remake of the original. im a graphic design student at the moment, and hope to be a master of 3d modeling and maybe 3d animation. if ill reach my goal of being really good in those things after ill finish my degree, maybe... just maybe... ill take it upon myself to recreate the entire movie with CGI, but if i do, it'll take years probably... still there is hope ;D

This animated movie needs to be on the big screen live action. It has many races in the movie everyone would be happy with it. Have Morgan Freeman as one of the wizards, have Sean Connery or Christopher LLoyd as Henry Morgans wizard. Have the Badguy from TRON play the evil wizard. Also have John Ritters son as the human that goes into the land of dragons.

Ommadon was one excellent villain. And is it just me or does Peter somewhat resemble an older version of Presto from the '80s D&D cartoon?
