i find the implications of the innie-going-into-labor absolutely horrifying, like the entire idea of turning your brain off and letting your innie deal with the pain of childbirth without consent is actually my new nightmare fuel, thanks severance!
Not to mention, they essentially come to life in pain, then die.
@@YourBlackLocal angelo arteta’s wife’s innie had to go through that, what, three different times? imagine coming to and every time you’re just reliving the worst pain of your very short life
@@auggiemcdonaldor the fact you’ll never get to know and love the kids you helped bring into the world, never get to see them grow up. I’d imagine the “outie” is lacking a few maternal instincts as well that are probably locked away with the innie that goes through childbirth.
You do it already, an epidural is literally that, you're turning that part of your brain off and ignoring the pain you can't feel. Does your body consent to that just because YOU say it, does your body have autonomy over your mind, no.
And how do you know the innie didn't consent, very presumptuous of you. Perhaps the innie, who had to also experience being pregnant, is inconsolable because she ONLY got to experience birth.
At any rate this is probably how women would misuse this technology.
BUT let's face it, if we had tech this advanced, women would be obsolete because we'd have artificial wombs and incubators if we had tech to separate consciousness.
why not ask women who had kids and gave them up how that feels. Ask for me while you're there since she was never there for me to ask. @@jonnyxrey
The innies are so weird. They’re “born” innocent. Irv and Bert are like 13 year olds having a teenage romance.
This show is a slow burn. It just ramps up each episode until I was on the edge of my seat for the finale.
Get well soon Zuff ❤️🩹
Nice spotting the stain. I guess it's from his child before he came to work!
7:50 Rob caught on quickly! I did not immediately get that the woman was severed so her innie could deal with childbirth. Personally, I’d never want to give up the memory of my kids being born.
Same. Yes it’s hard and difficult but it gave me my kids. Also can you imagine just waking up going into labor knowing you’ll probably never be able to bond with the kids you’re delivering? It’s the most unethical version of surrogacy I can imagine
It's rather cowardly in my opinion. Yes I have children. 😂
Missing Zuff and his randomness! Wishing him a speedy recovery ❤
So glad you guys chose this show. It doesn’t hold your hand and it’s a slow burn, but the reveals just keep on coming in the final episodes until it culminates. I feel like this show was so underrated. Glad you’re enjoying it.
It will have a bigger audience going into season 2. Alot more people have been watching it.
Things are just getting more and more confusing! Knowing the innies can wake up outside the lumon building changes everything.
Actually the paintings both had two different color badges. The color was just switched on the attackers vs victims depending on which department had the painting.
Christopher Walken is such a memeable personality but this show gave us a whole new side to him.
Absolutely. In the more recent years it seems like he's playing himself in shows and movies. But here, here he's really good, different. I like it.
can you imagine your entire life all you've ever known is the pain of childbirth. like that's literally it, you exist only to hurt and bring a child into the world, and then never see them again
Guys, they only put doors, not a elevator. 😂
Day 99 requesting Penny Dreadful :)
It’s so so disturbing seeing the different ways they want to apply the severence procedure so the “outies” don’t have to go through any hardships in life. Like childbirth. So one version gets all of the good whereas the other gets the worst of what life has to offer. It’s such a twisted form of slavery and torture, this show does such a good job broaching the darkness of it all and inviting debate or discussion.
Hope Zuff feels better soon!
Penny dreadful!
Get well soon, Zuff!
I'm watching this episode for the first time via your video lol and great shirt, Rob! 😃
Get Well Soon Zuff 💛
Thanks, Bryce! Thanks, Rob! 🧠 Here's hoping Zuff has made a full recovery by now. 🌿
Feel better soon, Zach!
Get well soon Zuffie!!
Awesome reaction of my favorite episode of Severance!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Feel better, Zach!
rob where did you get your paul mescal shirt???
Does Mrs Selvig ever rest??
Great episode, but that Paul Mescal shirt???
its a goat not a sheep
As a mother I would never want to forget the experience of giving birth. Yes, its painful but with all the happy hormones postpartum our bodies actually do a good job of making us forget the pain. I mean I've chosen to have 3 fully natural births. I also think not remembering the moment might make it harder to bond with your baby and recovery in itself can also be painful so I wonder if they let the "innie" deal with that too..
She sent Petey’s chip to be analyzed after she got it out of his head. The one she had around her neck was just a replica of a generic severance chip.
For reasons, I believe she has her mother's chip around her neck.
Still don't get why Dylan chose to be severed.
3 kids. Probably needs a job to sustain his family.
sometimes you *need* a job
3:58 “bring petey’s consciousness around her neck” is a crazy sentence
Get well soon Zuff! 💙
