- Hello everybody :D Welcome to MST's next generation RWD drifting creation! Behold the MST MRX GT :D To me this car is already at VIP level status due to the amount of sweet parts included with this kit. Lots of really interesting things inside the box and I was surprised to find some stuff in this kit that I did not find in the RMX 2.5RS i recently unboxed. This car is definitely next generation and I am prepared to do many films comparing this car to all the next gen cars that were released in the year 2022. I am very excited to get this car assembled and on track for all the tests and shakedowns! Stay tuned for updates on this car :D Enjoy the video!

It is a great chassis and parts have come back available just not all of them yet. Make sure to tighten the motor mount, motor and the pinion gear's set screw tight and use loctite to prevent the spur gear from getting killed. :)

Sweet, might get this now over the Yokomo SD 1
Out of the box, the MST MRX GT easily beats the Yokomo SD 1.0 in terms of immediate performance and smiles on faces.

In terms of out of the box performance, yes. The MD 1.0 is mild and tame in performance compared to the MRX GT from the factory manual build settings in my opinion. Once tuning is applied Im interested to test both cars :D

I use the Tr56 on my D4 i bought the 6 hole pistons but....i had to make it all 1mm hole otherwise i dont get the speed i want from the dampers.but i drift in a grippy snd dusty surface so i need very fast reaction

After the shakedown out of the box, two of my buddies that drove it right after me are heavily considering it now :D
I’m interested to see how the motor being in line with the body. Will there be torsion twist? It does look beautiful.
well it drifts amazing out of the box in factory settings mode so it deffo works :D :D :D
Just got this kit and was wondering how difficult will this one be to build for someone that has not build a drift kit.
Should be mostly straight forward, there will be areas where you will need to take time and focus on where certain parts go in certain order. I have a "constructor's digest" series of videos that go through the manual step by step for tips and infos :)
Would you recommend the RMX 2.5 RTR/ATR for a newcomer to drifting? Not new to RC though. Great video btw.
Oh yisss! I haven't actually got my hands on a RMX 2.5 RTR but based on the RMX 2.0 RTR, the 2.5 should be very good! Go for the "brushless" version if you get one :D

For anyone planning on picking up one of these kits, PLEASE DO NOT. MST has already discontinued a few of the parts specific to this chassis including the rear gearbox shell and chassis brace, the other spare parts they have not discontinued are out of stock everywhere, they simply do not exist. If you break anything on this chassis that isn't cross compatible with another MST car you are S.O.L. MST has no support, there is nowhere to go to get a new part. This car is one stripped screw or broken bolt from being a paperweight. Save yourself the hassle and STAY FAR AWAY.
