I'm a bit confused. Let's say I applied for a visitor visa back in 2012, around 12 years ago. At that time, I was just a student with no job and weak ties to my home country, which were the reasons for my rejection. Now, in 2024, I have graduated and have held a stable job since 2018, amounting to 6 years of professional experience. I've also applied for an MS degree. My question is, should I be concerned that I was rejected before, even though my circumstances have completely changed? I hope this question will be helpful to many.
Any prior rejection will always have an impact
I got refused two times. I applied for MS CS in Miu last year. Now i got an admission in FSU. But i have taken a loan from Mpower because I don’t have that money. Now how can i convince Vo about my loan ?
what do you need to convince about your loan?
Loan isn’t going to problem for convincing VO

Hi, sorry for late reply, I had some works to do now I am here!😃
I had my VISA interview in US embassy in Nepal
I applied for F1 visa, I had really good academics!
I had 9.3/10 cgpa and good English proficiency with 7.5 in IELTS as well, so I guess my academics played a vital role during my interview!
I was asked about 4 questions
Why this university?(Webster university)
Why this major?(My major was biology)
Who are your sponsors?(parents)
What are your future plans?(working in the field of health and medicine)
I was really confident about my intentions to go to United sates and that is to continue my study, I mentioned the academic aspects of my degree and provided the abundant information about my university that would really help my major! I was confident and I made my VISA officer believe in me!
As I wanted to be a health and medicine specialist I had chosen biology major with special emphasis in health and medicine, I exactly mentioned him about my idea and he immediately gave me a good response from behind the window!
I had about $23,000 to pay and I said that my parents will pay for my studies, I mentioned their profession and income & the collective income from my parents was $38,000, I didn’t lie I had all of the documents present with me in the embassy! So he believed me!
I mentioned about the deprived health and medicine services in my country Nepal, as I am studying biology with health and medicine emphasis, it would really help me to gain wide range of knowledge and while returning back to my home country I would look forward to work in these sectors!
I was confident with all of the documents present, I made good eye contact with my VISA officer!
He knew I was confident, I smiled in each and every answers I presented and he smiled back to me!
I deserved my VISA and he approved it! I did it so do others can !just be genuine and confident about your case!
Can you please help me i am applying for an f1 visa and the person who is sponsoring me lives in America and is my relative how do i prove home ties on that

Please! Can this be a problem, if let say your i-20 states that you have an Uncle that will be your source of funding, including a loan secured, and during the interview session you're asked "How will you pay back the loan while in school?". can you say part of the loan which covers your living expenses while in school would be used to pay the loan interest including personal funds from you, whilst the claimed personal funds was not stated on the i-20 but you carried the claimed personal funding bank statement with you to the interview session, without stating in your explanation to the consular that your uncle stated on your i-20 will also help pay part of the loan, in a way to take full responsibility of paying for your loan interest?
Wow, sounds complicated. Maybe you can try that. But remember, simple and clear communication is important with VO
Hey Sir! Hope you're doing well.
I'm from Pakistan🇵🇰
My question is, Fall intake has already passed and now everybody is saying that visa approval ratio and scholarships are far more in Fall than in any other intake.
Is it really like that I wouldn't get scholarships from universities and wouldn't get my visa approved more likely for other intakes??
Waiting anxiously for your reply please!

Hi. I had applied for the H1 B lottery earlier this year but got rejected. I already have a visitor visa since 2015. Do you feel like these might be red flags for the F1 interview
Was H1B rejected, or just not selected in lottery?
I am self sponsored and my F1 visa got rejected last week 😢.The officer asked me 3 questions.
1. Why do u choose this course ?
2. Who are you living with?
3. Why you don’t choose online course?
Please advise me what I should change or prepare for second attempt. Whether I should change for sponsor or not?
Thank you 🙏
Sorry to hear that!

Do you think it’s a red flag if my F2 dependents will tell the consul that they’ll be staying with me for a couple of months only? Or do they need to get tourist visa since they will not be staying with me throughout the program
Yes that could be issue
Hi,
Does registering for diversity lottery means filing for immigration petition on ds160?.. and how dv lottery affect your non immigrant visa application?
Yes it does impact that

Hi sir,
What is the best time to check out the schedule for interview to get early date?
And if our interview date is too far as when my university class start before then does it affect or not or can I change the class start date
and is it affect to my financial aid or not sir.
Depends on each country and consulate office for the wait times…

i have some things i would like to know sir
I apparently got my f1 visa rejected and the sponser was my US citizen uncle who's not blood related to me, can that be a red flag? Is it better to change my sponser to my mom for the second attempt?
Yes, that can be an issue
if i am under the age of 18 do i need to be accompanied by an adult? also can my parent apply for the B-1/2 visa whilst I apply for the F-1 visa during the same appointment or do they need to be scheduled differently?
I’m not sure about that, sorry. Please get help from an immigration attorney or the experts at Argo Visa for guidance. 😃
Most of those details are online if you want to double check
I had applied for a j1 visa got rejected twice and then got approved so now I'm planning to apply for a F1 visa so the prior rejections that i had is that still a red flag in my scenario?
Thanks!
Any prior rejection will always be a factor
Need to have a plan for how to address that
Hi, I have a doubt. In my Ds I said that the person who would finance my trip would be my brother but in my I 20 it says that my financial support comes from my family.
So if they ask me who is your financial sponsor, what do I say?
Be honest and make sure what you say matches your documents
Is your brother not a family? I don't even know why you guys ask these questions
My brother went USA on F1 Visa just a year ago. Would the visa officers know if I don't include my brother in the Ds160 form?
Probably not
Can I go to the interview with a personal financial guarantee covering the first year ? I have a governmental scholarship but it might take time and the program starts in July :(.
Sure
How can a Visa officer know you got a relative in the US?
You tell them…
Will it be possible If I applied to a language school to get my I-20 form then once I arrive in the US I will transfer to a college of my preferred course.
How will I explain that to the consulate?
Why not just go directly to your preferred school?
I jad got rejected on 4 January 2024 in India now i had my another interview at qatar doha on 31march 2024 and i haven't made any changes to my profile so it's okay

2 questions. I was accepted to Boston university with 35% scholarship and I wanted my close families to send the rest of the money which my parents can't afford to my mom. Is it okay if the money was transferred a month prior to the intrveiew?
And is a loan a bad choice of source of income for financing my education?
Education is fine and normal, very common
You can send for whatever works best for university, just make sure you have right documents showing all financials
Thank you again for the fast reply.
I will take "education" as "loan".
Yes my university accepts loans.
My fear was if the transfer to my mom's account will affect my VISA application? (since it will be in 1 or 2 months from the interview date). And I am from subsaharan Africa so they may be cautious on funding of the university.
Will I also need to bring details of bank statements for many months?
@@raiyehaile3825 yes, banks statements and proofs of funds for supporting education Journey is helpful too
Yes, *education loan* earlier
I won the DV lottery in 2020 but 2 weeks before the interview, there was COVID-19 lockdown. I was never invited for the interview. Now I've gotten Graduate Assistantship to study for my master's, covering $36 000 out of the annual expenses of $41 000.

Okay so in 2018 i was refused for a tourist visa to the US, which was to attend a competition.
Right now I will be going to the University of South Florida with their highest scholarship for international student. I guess i was refused before because i could not answer something about my father's job (well i was too young then).
All i wanted to know is, does the previous rejection affect my F1 visa now? If yes, then how do I prepare myself for it now?

What does your elective program suggest for visa type?
Hi...thanks for the video. I have i20 issued from a top US institute with full scholarship for PhD program. The scholarship covers the tuition and living expenses. Will I need to show any additional funds from my family? Thanks!

I had 5 years F1 visa, all record clean. However could not get H1-b picked, so applied for Day 1 CPT masters to maintain status. But mistakenly worked 20 days without CPT authorization hence SEVIS termination. But DSO gave new I-20 for next semester, and asked to reenter US. Can I lie on my ds 160 that my own brother is not in US even though he is there? since it might raise my chances of rejection?
You should never lie on documents…
Does visa officers have access to see my bank statements without asking for the document?
Nope, they only see what you give them
Hello! I had my VISA interview (Location: US Embassy Manila) last week and got rejected. I plan to book another VISA interview appointment this week on the same location, is that a red flag?
I think I got rejected because she asked me how I’ll be able to pay for my college and I said I have a sponsor and said that the sponsor is a family friend, a friend of my father. She kept asking about my sponsor, I think 4 times and then typed something on her computer for awhile and rejected me. Is a “family friend” not a good candidate to be a sponsor? Is it okay to have a sponsor that’s not a US Citizen?
Is there anything you can suggest to my situation?
Additional question, is there a possibility that the consular will ask for my sponsor’s bank statement?

Last year, I applied for MSCS at MIU but was refused twice with the same profile back to back. Later, MIU informed me via email that Visa Officers don't favor the CPT method of fee coverage, and they are in the process of changing that policy. I won't be relying on CPT or scholarships in the first semester, as my elder brother will be sponsoring me.
