@@BryceLovesTechoh we know the place well. Stumbled on it back in 2019 and we were hooked. We have seen most of your videos from way back. We watch them periodically when we get “island sick” 😊.
@ we have watched some of the early formulations of the Plantation. Interesting to see all the growth on the Island through videos. It’s a very special place and we hope it stays true to the early visionary premise of its birth.
Great video! I'm so glad we visited this area a couple of years ago. We stayed on St. George Island, but really fell in love with Apalachicola. Such a beautiful town! I think it would be a great place to retire. We also discovered Cape San Blas on that trip and stayed there this past Spring. We enjoyed it and Port St. Joe as well. Of course, we visited Apalach and St. George Island as well on the second trip. Just a lovely place. We first visited the area because of a book series that I read. If you enjoy murder/mystery novels, I highly recommend "The Forgotten Coast" series by Dawn Lee McKenna. The books are very well written, and her vivid descriptions of the area are what made me want to visit. I was using Google Maps while I was reading the series, and everything was spot on as she described it. The owner of Apalachicola Chocolate Company (Kirk) is a character in the series, and I even met him on our first trip there. There are pictures of Dawn and him in the cafe. Very cool!
Having grown up in Apalachicola and been gone for 25 years, this was amazing to see! Thank you so much for posting!!! The footage is gorgeous!
Thank you for watching, great to hear from people who have been here a long time. I graduated in 1990 from AHS
Beautiful video! We will have to get there someday
You're going to love it, it's so peaceful.
Your videos are just breathtaking. We head that way right after Christmas to spend the New Year. Thank you for sharing this beautiful place ❤️.
You are going to love it. It's a really peaceful place this time of year

@@hollyegrijalva4154 that’s great to hear. I have a few other videos about the island. The 1980s plantation promotional videos are hilarious.
