Hi Tree, Appreciate the hidden zipper tutorial. You made the process seem very straight forward and dare I say easy. Through experience, the process is a lot more difficult and tricky. I guess, like everything, it gets better with practice. 🤗 Your tutorial did make putting in a hidden zipper appear much more achievable without having a brain aneurysm. Thank you. ❤️
The key is in that 1st bit where you use and iton to gently open up and roll those teeth away but make sure the iron is not too hot. The other thing is to always start at the top so you get the alignment right. Mine don't always go to plan....partially is sewing a tricky fabric but just don't be too hard on yourself, you will improve. Interesting that you call it a 'Hidden Zipper' maybe that's new thing....should have done my Google searches! Thankyou. Tree
Thank you Tree. I can get the first side completed fine, the other side is always a little stressful, along with completing the seam. I recently managed a lined bodice with a concealed zip - but needed a lie down afterwards. Lovely and clear instructions, and I will keep to hand the next time I am up for a stressful experience!!
At about 4:12 you start sewing the other side of the zip with the regular zipper foot - your voiceover continues, but the video stops. Unfortunately we never get a shot of your using that foot. That said, you have explained it very clearly and make it look easy!
Yes.....that's because my massive puffed sleeves got in the way....you just keep going with the regular zip foot, going as close (but not too close) to the teeth. I was trying to show that it can be done with with feet. Well observed. Thankyou. Tree.
Hello, Merry Xmas to you too. Yes....want to continue but falken off the video making wagon!! Mixture of feeling irrelevant and having left it soo.....long that I'm not sure how to navigate back. Thankyou for asking and see you soon (ish) Tree x

I'm sure you've been told before, but you are a master seamstress. You make the movements look so easy.
'Make movements look easy' I love that!! Thankyou

Thankyou....glad you liked it. Tree x
You make it look so easy but we all know it's like mission impossible to those of us who lost their sew-jo a long time ago. But we mustn't give up...
Just always start at the top and don't worry if it's not completely invisible!
I shared video in my sewing group. Love your tutorials
That's so kind of you. Thankyou. X
