Caliban isn't psychic, but his mutant power is sensing and detecting other Mutants. In the comics he loved Kitty Pryde, (Shadowcat) and helped save Colossus's life if Kitty promised to marry him. Caliban kept his part of the bargain, and to be fair Kitty would have as well, but she didn't even have to unpack her bags. Caliban instantly released Kitty from the bargain when she confessed she did not love him. Caliban wanted her to remember him as the good prince he was.
I went and saw this at the theater. A movie about Wolverine that's supposed to be really good and it's R rated. I did NOT expect to come out of there feeling feelings. And X-23 is a whole-ass menace. Like Hit Girl, but with predatory instincts, healing and built in swords....and really, REALLY pissed off. The little girl that played her absolutely killed it as well.
On Deadpool 2 we all jumped on J quick to watch this movie before Deadpool & Wolverine. He heeded the call. Thank goodness he did, cause it's gonna make Deadpool 3 so much damn better for him! (It's out on digital tomorrow!)

40:53 "Listen, he ain't deserve all that. He ain't even done nothing!" - I think you severely discounted his involvement in the program that was manufacturing and torturing mutant children 🤣🤣🤣
Saw this when it came out, it was perfection, fuuuck the end ruined me. As a kid who grew up in the 90s, LOVED watching X-Men, had wolverine toys (even those really big 1 foot) it killed me to see my favorite Marvel character die. yeah its a movie, but we don't like seeing our heroes die.
That brought back memories. Those big 12 inch figures were awesome! I went to KB toy store and they were marked down to something stupid, like 2 for $10, and my parents let me get a bunch. I had some epic battles in the back yard!
I’d also like to think that it would prove to Marvel that they can be successful if they make more rated r movies that aren’t filled with comedy. I want to see more of this darkness from Marvel moving forward not saying they need to focus on it, but it would be interesting if they do storylines the size of the phases instead of 30+ movies spread across four phases just to tell one story. Objectively it would allow them to introduce new characters or to try new ideas like being 100% comic accurate while not throwing away their current fan base because they can continue to do there regular storylines for them
On another note, I’m glad you appreciated this movie and also the turmoil that Logan had been through. Others will mention or probably already mentioned that from the origins movie, the prophesy of her seeing Logan dying with his heart in his hand; it’s Laura. In this particular movie they make a few references when Logan says, “Oh, so this is what it feels like.” Most people assume it’s because he’s dying for the first time, which is not true in the comics. Logan dies multiple times, but because he killed the angel of death in WWI on the battlefield when he was coming to harvest souls, he gets a second chance. He fights Abbadon every time he dies on a temporal plane and it’s just about Logan’s will to win and survive on if he comes back and his soul returns to his body. It changes later in the comics on a different arc that include Death (who Thanos and Deadpool are vying for). I do believe that Wolverine always knew he had a family and had felt on some level that love; so that draws me to think he was talking about being a father when he made the comment. This movie was so quiet on the end and so many people were sobbing. I was teared up and sniffling, and it still always gets me some. Great reaction!

This film hit hard for me. I remember renting 'X-Men' on VHS in my teens, while my parents went out for the night. Pulled the armchair right up to the TV like I was in the cinema. Loved the film and the potential it set-up with the ending. The sequels were very mixed.... but then LOGAN came in and gave a heartfelt and damn near perfect send-off to that run of films. Also the "X" grave marking at the end is one the best touches I've ever seen in a film.
Something a lot of people don't notice, because it's really subtle, is just *why* Logan is aging and his powers failing. It's because of the Anti-mutant agent that Zander Rice and his company developed. Because High-Fructose Corn Syrup is in almost literally everything we consume these days, they started putting the agent into the corn. So, no new mutants are born. And in Mutants, it suppresses their powers. So, Wolverine's healing factor doesn't work as well and can't keep the Adamantium poisoning in check anymore. It may also have contributed to Charles mental condition. Though that *may* just be age.
I think in the comics explained at some point when they made experiments on him, they injected too much adamantium in his body. It didn't kill him, but it is weakening the healing factor. Deadpool and X23 have stronger healing factors because they don't have the same quantity of adamantium in their body. The healing factor becoming weaker of course makes the adamantium poisoning worse... It is a domino effect if we want.
@@ark1567 In the comics, his healing factor was held back by the adamantium. His was working constantly against it. Once Magneto tore it out of him, his healing factor became almost god-like. He healed injuries almost as fast as they were made.
No, the gene therapy corn syrup just prevents new mutants from being born. Logan is weak and dying because his healing factor has been constantly fighting heavy metal toxicity for 50 years.
I heard a theory the whole incident with viper and silver samurai really done a number on him basically turning off his healing powers completely letting the adamatium poisoning to set in and start the whole aging process.

Awesome reaction and Logan could relate to Charles more after Charles had accidentally killed the mutants. Logan being a man that's killed so many and feeling regret from his past just like Charles feeling regret for what he did to his own kind.
It comes out of her foot. Her skeleton is not bonded with adamantium which makes her agile and quicker than Logan. She also heals faster since she has less adamantium in her body. Adamantium is poison so her body isn’t constantly fighting that.

So to answer your question why is Wolverine dying and why charles xavier is having seizures and why there are no new mutants born in twenty-five years? And what happened to the X-Men. Doctor rice managed to develop an anti mutant agent drug and managed to inject food supplies, mainly corn syrup, which surpress their powers and also prevented other mutants from being born. Wolverine drinks whiskey a lot that also has corn syrup so over the years his powers were slowly stop working. Which could say the same thing for Charles he had a psychic seizure that killed all the X-Men and other mutants at the X Mansion.
