Dani, how about doing “WHERE NO ONE STANDS ALONE” a duet with Lisa Marie and her dad. Lisa talks about crying during the recording…she felt like her dad was right there with her in spirit. It brings chills listening to their voices…it’s so beautiful and heavenly❣️🇨🇦😷
Just heard Tom is retaining 90% of his singing voice at 82, incredible! What's new Pussycat is the opposite, very upbeat. Englebert Humperdinck is,another great singer similar to Tom u might consider reacting to. Had huge hit Release Me in 67 and many more. Keep up the good work.

Tom Jones used to sing in a pub near where my Grandfather lived which later I used to frequent a lot as a young man, he was known as Tommy Scott and his band were the Senators,his real name is Tommy Woodward. Ps A group of local female MPs tried to get Delilah banned as they said it encouraged domestic violence , just thought I would pass that little nugget on . By the way my Late Father heard.its not unusual ,on the radio as he entered a record shop and said straight away that the vocalist would be a star , the vocalist of course was Tom Jones, true story.

I used to listen to this song as a child and always sang the chorus never knowing the meaning of the song. Then years later as an adult I’m listening and I’m saying to myself, “OMG this maniac killed his girlfriend Deliah in a jealous rage!!”
A dark song true but it showcased his ability to the max. Such range and emotion the world has been blessed to hear.

As someone who clearly loves the styles of Tom Jones & Elvis I'm not sure if you're aware of the back story ~ for a time Elvis lost interest in doing live shows & a very clever Promoter Gordon Mills latched onto the idea filling the void with a performer that could capture the same energy on stage ~ so he signed Tom Jones & Engelbert Humperdink & groomed them to create a similar stage presence as Elvis

Many songs over history are dark of course. Unfortunately bad stuff happens and once again it's unfortunate that it will never be any different.
There is a lesson though. A message. That message is do bad stuff and they'll "knock down your door and take you away". Your life can be done. Over. End of story.

Elvis was a big admirer of Tom and asked to meet him, after which I think they became friends if I remember rightly. I'm not sure you can get a bigger compliment than that and after your recent trip to Graceland I thought it was appropriate. As for this song I think it's a song about the Biblical story of Samson and Delilah, which I think is quite gruesome, so I don't think this is really Tom Jones' actual story. It is an amazing song, an amazing delivery, and this song is even used as a football song sung at Stoke City here in England during matches if you can believe that!!!

Yes, knives are likely not the best way to resolve domestic disputes LOL. It's just a dramatic story/song.

@NoLimit* ...Actually, that can't be a sequel, lol. Delilah was released in 1967; Green, Green Grass of Home came out in 1966. So, the punishment before the crime is like the cart before the horse. But, yes, that country hit is a must-listen.
