To be fair he has apologized for years about being the guy he was in this song. And I’ve gone to plenty of brand new shows where they have asked us to bring canned goods and stuff for women’s shelters. He’s a changed man. He’s sorry for who he was and has been very open and honest about it.

The song is about two drunk people hooking up at a bar. “Number 9 with my head on the bar” “Eyes are fighting sleep while your mouth makes your demands” “You can sin or spend the night alone” Both the narrator and the girl in the song are inebriated and lonely people, just using each other for the night not to be be lonely. I really hate that for some reason the song meaning has changed now that we learned something about Jesse.
