The only immediate issue I see here is that the safe door has exposed hinges on the top which can perhaps be chisel hammered or cut with a portable rotary saw.
Thank you for the review. I really enjoyed it. I am thinking about buying one of these. Just a few things:
Number 1. It seems like to me the four short self tapping screws into plastic would not be very secure? I’m certainly not trying to tell these people how to engineer their product, and I don’t even know if this is a possibility I guess it depends on the vehicle, but it would be nice to have larger fasteners screwed into some steel support in the vehicle. I guess they did the best they could do.
2. I don’t like the of the battery being accessible on the outside. Somebody takes that battery out and you are screwed.
3. Lastly. It would be nice to have a secondary means of opening the safe such as a high security key. In the unlikely event there is a problem with that combination lock, again you would be screwed.
However having said all that, I like the product and I am looking into purchasing one for my 2015 Lexus RX 450 H if they have one that will fit the vehicle.

Firstly if the battery was on the inside and died, how would you open to change it? I do agree though that if it would just mess up, then how would you open it up without a secondary key
I just bought a Ram with this safe included . I don’t know code from previous owner . How do I reset lock code ?
You would have to call the maker to ask how...

2021 Update - Purchased one of these. No shipping confirmation, no responses to emails and calls. This company is a joke.

@@DomDavidson After my post, they reached out with no real reason the order went unfilled. I had already moved on and purchased another safe though.

Yea the battery opening should've been on the inside 😒
And how do you get it open if the battery dies if you were to do that???
@@larrygoldman2530 I have no clue...I didn't go with this 1 I have the 1 with the key and it gets the job done
@@larrygoldman2530 seems to be missing on some people. Only issue though is if the safe messes up, which it will do at some point, how do you open it up then without a key?
