Hope you enjoyed this video! Which tip are you going to try?
I've been tracking all of my stats since I started in April. I've been looking at a "conversion" rate of visits vs favorites and I've found my rate to be around 5.3%. It is said that a good sales conversion rate is between 2% and 3%. Right now mine is at 2.6%. So at this point, I'm getting favorites at about twice the rate of sales. Not sure where that lands on the scale of good or bad. I know that nobody probably tracks conversion rates for favorites but I thought sharing my findings here might be of interest to someone.
Thank you so much for explaining in such detail about Favorites. This makes so much sense now. Thank you
As a shopper, I will favorite an item that MIGHT turn into a purchase like I would add a bookmark. If I favorite the whole shop, I often can't find that item again. It keeps me from cluttering up my actual browser bookmarks. When I was planning a Poiret reproduction coat, I had a bazillion things favorited that might be suitable and pruned them down as I made choices.
I also noticed that some people who favorite some of my prints are also print shops in the same niche...spying competitors 😅
ah yes ... they're doing research in a bit of an obvious way in this case!
I've noticed an inverse correlation between people who favorite my items and people who actually buy them. The more they favorite, the less likely they are to buy. 80% of my paying customers don't favorite anything, the other 20% will favorite 1-5 items MAX, and anyone who favorites 10 or more items doesn't buy anything. To test this theory, I even enabled the 10% discount offer for favorited items over a year ago, and it has not been used once. When the store was new, I felt certain that a sale was coming if someone favorited 30 items. Now, I don't pay them any attention.
Interesting observation! Great that you were able to test it, and now you can move on and focus on converting traffic from elsewhere 😇 - Lindsey from Team Tizzit
The same applies in my shop, wow! I also tried running a sale for favorited items and got the same result.
Thank you 😊

New Etsy Shop here, Thank you for the video Deborah. Does the coupon accumulate on top of the already discounted shop? If I run a sale for 25% on my entire shop and send a discount offer for 20% to people who favorited my items, will they get a 45% off total of 45% off? Thank you so much :)
I clicked the toggle to offer a discount coupon in my vintage shop and lately it seems that those are the only sales I'm getting in that shop.
In my handmade shop, where I want email list sign-ups, I offer a discount on any readymades (I refuse to discount bespoke, custom work, because I drop everything to do it). Only one person that signed up to the list has ever used the coupon.
Hi , i have etsy store and I uploaded total 111 listings now listing going well with etsy ads and get 49% organic also but my main problem is not getting one sales but i got too much favorites and i have only 12 sales now its 4-5 months of store started please give me guidance 🙏
How many ppl use Pinterest?
What does Pinterest consider an "active" user, and how long does a user use the platform?
I am hearing more and more folk admit that they don't use Pinterest, even some "gurus" that have insisted in the past that all Etsy sellers use Pinterest for product promotion.
Hi!
Currently Pinterest has around 450 million monthly active users. It's not a social medium though, but a place for pinners to find their next inspiration and products so it's hard to compare the time spent on Pinterest with the time spent on Instagram or TikTok for example.
Deb has recorded two videos that may help you figure out what's been happening on Pinterest: ua-cam.com/video/wM9UUmkkUzU/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/saGPUyLoSog/v-deo.html
It can still be a great platform, you just need to decide if it's the right fit FOR YOU.
Hope it helps! - Alicja from Team Tizzit
Not everyone has money to put their stuff on sale or give discounts. Then what do you suggest?
Hi and thanks for watching! You should not need to "have money" to put your products on sale or run a promotion, your pricing strategy should allow for a profit margin even when you offer discounts. If you are not, then you need to review your pricing strategy as this will impact more than your ability to offer promotions but also your ability to pay yourself properly and reinvest in your business so you can grow it year on year.
@@Tizzitco thank you but disagree.
Put the price up, and give a discount until it reaches the price you want to have. It’s that easy
