Not, for me the way forward should be easier not this complicated (mind you I've just opened the shop). THANK You for the clarification, I couldn't find any on both Etsy or Pinterest.
I tried hooking my my Pinterest and Etsy months ago. Got so frustrated because it was hard to find answers and Pinterest didn’t give a clear answer. Glad to have final clarity, wish they just would have told me to stop trying back then!
Just what I looking for. I had already noticed that Pinterest wasn't so organic anymore since I can't link to Etsy shop but I couldn't find any information about it. I used to get a lot of visits from Pinterest which plummeted.
Thanks for sharing, Maria! Like all platforms, Pinterest will have its ups & downs as they continue to grow. All we can do is learn to ride the waves! 🏄♀️ - Lindsey from Team Tizzit
Do you have an updated video of how to link your Etsy products to your Pinterest account? I'm new to selling on Etsy and it's very slow, I'm trying to build a bigger audience but have no idea how. Thanks
Thanks for the comment, Sophie! We go into detail in the Pinterest Mastery course, which you can find here 👉 www.hq.tizzit.co/pinterest-marketing-for-handmade-shops/ ☺️ all HQ members have access to this course via the course library, too! Hope this helps! - L
Thanks for your explanations. If I create a pin on canva with a pinterest-text and link the pin to my etsy-shop, the text becomes my etsy-text and there is a price (but the false one, right price x 100) Does that happen because it becomes a product-pin? I find that annoying, because I can´t integrate a special text for pinterest...Well, and the price...but perhaps this is a bug. Do you have a solution for that problem? Thanks :-)
Thanks for the question! We cover this & more in the Pinterest Mastery class, which you can find here 👉 www.hq.tizzit.co/handmade-pricing-masterclass/ ☺️ hope this helps! - L
I’m sorry I just don’t get it. If I have an Etsy shop and I want to promote my products on Pinterest, does the customer have to manually exit Pinterest, go to Etsy, search my profile and then find the item? I just tried posting a link to my Etsy shop on my pin and when you click on it says “forbidden link”. Can you simply explain how someone is going to be able to shop for your products on Pinterest?
Thanks for the comment, Lena! We walk our members & students through this step-by-step in the Pinterest Mastery course, which you can find here ➡️ www.hq.tizzit.co/pinterest-marketing-for-handmade-shops/ ☺️ hope this helps! - L
I have done some research on this as well. My Etsy pins from the past are slowly being changed to show Etsy only. And not only do they show Etsy, but they change my description. They start showing up as a rich pin, making it so your pin is just not as searchable. Have you run into this problem yet?
Hi! Yes, it's completely normal now - Pinterest is taking all the info from the owner of the website (Etsy) and making these pins easily shoppable by more and more people. So on one hand it's not as good because you have less control over your Etsy pins, but on the other hand it's great because ultimately it's making it easier for buyers to find and buy your Etsy products on Pinterest. It's the same with any other platform that you don't own - UA-cam, Instagram etc. - you won't be able to edit pin descriptions and titles leading to these websites as well. Hope it helps! - Alicja from team Tizzit
So does this change mostly just affect the shoppable product pins? I don't have any product pins on Pinterest because I'm a digital shop and I don't know how people would be able to download from Pinterest, but I was checking things out and my fresh pins still link to my Etsy listing and still have my Pinterest profile attached. Even on re-pins.
Hi Kathryn, and thanks for watching! So your Etsy products will still be showing up as product pins on Pinterest (digital or physical it doesn't matter - it's a still a product and will show as such) because Etsy has set up its own product catalog with Pinterest and essentially uploaded ALL their listings as product pins on the platform (at least in US, UK, CA, more countries will come). The difference with the way it used to be is that you used to be able to "claim" your Etsy account with Pinterest which meant that any pins going to your Etsy listings was attributed to "you" with your profile image showing on them and showing inside your Pinterest analytics as your pins. You can't do this anymore so your Pinterest profile info will not show next to your pins moving forward but Etsy's profile will show. Old pins might still show it, but it wont be the case moving forward. Same is true for old pins stats in your analytics, they might still show there but not moving forward). Technically this means those products pins on Pinterest are "Etsy's" BUT they still all link to YOUR product listings. Which... at the end of the day is what matters most - you get the traffic and the sales when someone clicks from Pinterest to your listing. Regarding digital downloads: whether it's physical or digital, people won't buy products on Pinterest directly, they will be taken to your Etsy store and buy from there so they would download normally as any Etsy shopper does :-) I hope this helps?
@@Tizzitco sorry, it's still a bit unclear. So linking to the particular product page on Etsy hasn't changed. Then what has changed? I know I can't "claim" my etsy shop on PInterest, but I am new to this platform so I never had this feature anyway. What is unclear is this Etsy product catalog that you are mentioning. Where on Pinterest can I see my Etsy product catalogue especially when it's not possible to link the 2?
@@zzzaya you won't be able to see Etsy product catalog for YOUR shop - in a few countries, Etsy has a catalog of all the products on the platform and that's what you will see if you go to for example Etsy's US profile (but you will only see it if you're in the US yourself). Since you can't claim your Etsy shop, aka prove to Pinterest it is in fact yours, you won't be able to get insights on all those product pins, even if they are on the platform already. BUT, if you're new to the platform and never had that feature, I wouldn't worry about it too much - this is a huge change for Etsy sellers who have been on the platform for years and were used to things working differently. You don't need to re-adjust your strategy, just start with a new one. As you mentioned, you can still create pins and link them to your Etsy listings, you can still get some general insights for your pins and you can still check your Etsy stats to learn more about your Pinterest traffic. Thanks for the explanation. I get why Pinterest removed the claim feature. I can't say I'm happy about it.
ive just joined so all of this means little to me, as long as it links to my product, im happy!

so, if pinterest won't allow me to link my photos to my webpage, then i'm going to DMCA all my photos on the website so they can't post them at all..
