    I always liked those optional non-story "coming home" moments in RPGs.
    I mean sure, "maybe there is some kind of reward there" is your driving force (it is a game after all), but it is still a really nice feeling :)

      And sometimes there's incentive to do so. Like in Wild Arms where if you go back to the starting town in the last act of the game, you can get a really powerful summon (and if you're playing Alter Code F, there's an entire story sequence around it).

    Fun Fact: This isn't the first time that Kiko has mentioned that 123 is his lucky number. When he LPed Ultima VII all those years ago, the description for Video 123 stated that 123 was, in fact, his lucky number.
    As to why 123 is Kiko's lucky number...well, who can say? Perhaps the world will never know!

    That building next to the old man was probably a barn or storage shed.
    Also..."I wonder what's on the other side of that fence..." Uh, just hop over it?

    I can kind of see why they didn't include one, but what the Golden Sun series really needed, in my opinion, was a psynergy that could warp you to towns you had previously visited. Like the Zoom spell in Dragon Quest, or the Ryuka tech in the Phantasy Star series.

      That and a better way to do cutscenes without the game repeating itself fifty times. Maybe redo the intro of the game to focus on Jenna, since Felix and her are way more important to the story than Isaac's father is. So getting some background information on him would definitely not go amiss.

      Also, they should have made Isaac talk. Someone on LPArchive said it best, silent protagonists only work in games like Chrono Trigger and Suikoden, where the other characters are larger than life or when your choices actually affect the story. Neither of those things are the case in this game.

    20:38 - Well, it was his idea to go to Sol Sanctum in the first place, so he does bear some of the responsibility for what happened.

      Though I imagine that had he not, Saturos and Menards would have just taken Jenna or someone else hostage and forced you to go anyway. But Kraden didn't know that at the time. He was in it for personal gain up until the point where they showed up in the Sanctum.

    I really wish you’d use reveal to see if there’s things in the boxes/barrels instead of wasting time checking everyone of them.

      You can't. She keeps repeating herself and Isaac gets a case of the Silent Protagonise Stupids and forgets that he can use items on people whenever you talk to her.
