I had first learned of floating houses from u/fghhjjjiiioooop on the HyruleEngineering Subreddit:

They added upon u/Bagel_enthusiast_192's discovery of the top border of the building area:

This video showcases a slightly easier(yet still finicky) way to make an ascendanle floating house
But this method has its limitations as you're forced to build a LONG house, which can be an eyesore
@@abhijithravikumar5300 Still good for people to know about, thanks!
Whats really inconvenient is having my house not suspended 50 yards in the air

You know it's going to be a high quality video when you begin having doubts about it's existence.
"herculean strength of bees" is the new "galvanized square steel"
the quantum bees, no less 😂
Haha totally. Elon could use these quantum bees for Starship. Who needs cryogenics when you can just turn around and hope for the best?
Bees having infinite strength as long as you're not looking at them is the funniest game exploit ever
turned my brutalist fortress into a gurlboss nightmare
You're goddamn right.
Keep in mind I seem to have reinvented how floor number systems work. The ground floor and 1st floor being the same is confusing! They're separate here~
In the USA, the 'ground floor' isn't a thing; we just have 1st, 2nd, 3rd... It's weird!
In fairness, most countable things are ordered and counted by, "first, second, third," etc.
If a family has two sons, we call them the "first son" and "second son," not the "ground son" and the "first son."
@@ferrishthefish yeah I know. It makes way more sense now that it was brought to my attention, but my brain was elsewhere at the time~
@@ferrishthefish to be fair, you can't have negative sons in the same way you can have negative floors (basement) so having a floor 0 (ground) does make some sense.
@@ThreadClock There's a difference between cardinal numbers (quantity: "one, two, three") and ordinal numbers (order: "first, second, third"). Ordinals don't have negatives or zeroes. That's why the calendar goes straight from 1 BC to 1 AD. There's no 0 AD nor -1 AD because years are counted ordinally. Floors are also counted ordinally, so one would expect to go from the "first floor" to the "first basement floor."
why is Kleric so 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 in this video
No but like fr tho, and I'm loving every second of it 💖
he said “good boyyy” and i had to kinda take a breather i got a little lightheaded

I think I'll put this here, as well:

Girlboss kleric?
Delightful video! I've made monster shaped houses, upside down houses, 45 degree houses, just about every SAFE configuration possible I guess. But still no floating house? I need to fix that! Thanks for the first 10 seconds. The rest of the video was just bloviating and delightful and made me laugh out loud and my 65 year old wife looked at me like she knows i am crazy and she HAS known it for over 40 years. In other words, Mr. Kleric, you've given me a reason to wake up tomorrow 😂
Zelda waited thousands of years already. She can wait for Link to figure out how to make his castle in the sky by breaking the laws of physics.
The 3d visualization of the rules is really really cool!
Thanks!
That took awhile to do~
@@KlericYT looks to me like it totally paid off! Every movement is smooth and the bounces look elegantly squishy.
Although I may not have a floating house I do like the advice of making my house less box shaped and let it be more creative
Kleric you’re goated
Take as long as you need on videos. I’ll wait for you as long as needed!
Me too!
The script and storytelling of this video were transcendent
Also, just here generating engagement x
line delivery on 3:10 was *phenomenal*, i don't even *have* a house and i now feel insecure about its design lmfao
I really like the animations! I know how much work that takes...
The video has very high quality
Thanks!
I built my little zonai devices from scratch, and only later realized I could have just downloaded the models from models-resource.com 😮
The visuals pop off here, absolutely massive W of a video
"My hyperfocus has shifted" - hope you're having fun with whatever you're focusing on next!
All fun till he can’t get into his house once he loses the hand lol
My house is only pictures of purah and you can’t stop me
This is exactly the type of info I needed for this game. If only there were a way to incorporate zonai devices into the house. Before the game even launched I envisioned making a house of disconnected floating platforms traversed via springs, but the game had to have all these silly building restrictions.
Ok great how do I put it in the depths
🤔
I doubt the building area extends downward that far, but what if??
@@KlericYTyou can use the GAS hydrant recall clipping to put the house units out of bounds, but i think that putting the house pernamently in the depths will be impossible
Gurl that was the most SLAY tutorial eva you killed gurl yas you're such a queen.
That video about 6 months ago had legit the best ideas I’ve ever seen. Can’t wait to watch this.
As soon as "bees" and "precision" were mentioned in the same context, I immidiately went "oh no".
(Also, shout out to you for sticking to the video despite the change of the hypefocus, it's the worst feeling in the world when this happens).
YOU’RE BACK!! Also slayyyy💅
Kleric's is taking the Production Value of his videos to the next level now! Giddy up!!
I was the original person to post a floating house btw, before the guy mentioned in your description (i posted it in r/hyruleengineering or whatever its called and the title was something like"i found i way to make a completly airborne tarrey town house") hence the post you linked in the description specifies its a "new" way to do it
Can I get a link to that post? :O
I found it.
Idk I feel like that's quite a bit different result. :P
Using a tall tower just to have one unit get put away that was connecting the two I guess teaches you how the top part of the building area works.
Do you know if this knowledge is what inspired the hoverstones method?
Edit: I looked in the comments, and it seems to be the case. I'll put ya in there. :O
@@KlericYT yeah i know theres a weird tower next to it but its still technically floating lol. I like to think of it as the prototype for what the other guy discovered a bit later.
Also thanks for putting me in there i feel famous :)
"if you’ve seen my spicy weapons video"
literally, yeah
the hover stones won't stay on for some reason, the rockets burn through and then it just falls
That's what the big battery is for, ya doofus~
Since you provided some housebuilding tips, I'll provide a trick of my own. The foyer functions as an alternative square room, as it includes a 1x1 open square. You can still place 1x2 rooms against the square as they fill into the corners usually left empty by a 2x2, and an office can be placed against the square without leaving half of a wall open. The foyer also includes a door that can seperate the 1x1 square from a standard room, which helps the house actually feel like a house; I can have an actual door in front of spaces I wouldn't want a visitor wandering into. I also use multiple foyers to make straight hallways, placing the 1x1 rooms against one another with doors on both left and right. Figuring out the application of foyers has helped a lot to break away from standard house structures and patterns.
Gurll💅 now ur home😘

The Death by Glamour timing was PERFECT
Luckily I never updated TotK when I got it because it was on the 1.0 version so I can do every single glitch ever known.
Only two minutes in and just wanted to say- your editing just keeps getting better and better! It's always a delight to watch, I've laughed several times already. Real good video! Looking forward to the rest of it :]
Yup, rest of the video was fantastic as well! The house remodeling section was absolutely lovely. Out of curiosity, what software did you use to make the animations? (Also, what's your current hyperfixation you mentioned if you don't mind me asking?)
And no worries about the wait! If I'm being honest, I barely notice/care every time you go on hiatus since your old videos are so good. I actually kinda appreciate the random waits between videos! It's probably not great for the algorithm or anything, but it's kind of fun to have your videos randomly drop when I least expect it. :)
FINALLY an actual tutorial to do this!
…now that I haven’t played in months…
Absolutely amazing. Great tutorial! Wow, I had not heard about the quantum bees, so that casual recap of what they could do had my head spinning lmao
It helps that they don't move around and attack you when in safe areas (such as towns, and your yard). Idk if there's as many applications as that brain of yours might be conjuring up~
WOW the video is such a high quality! Guuuurl you outdone yourself
After some trial and error, I've found a slightly easier way to do the bee trick. Once you have the center of mass of the house and have it recalled, don't shoot as high as you can, put the bees so they hold the house as evenly as possible but wider for more stability. It only took me 3 attempts to do it this way after I was struggling with shooting them as high as possible. Another trick for doing this, once you have set it up and Granteson says it is unstable, look at the house and see how it is falling, adjust your bee positions accordingly and try again. I've gotten it down to the point where I can drop my house and set it back up in the air again in one or two attempts.
don’t feel restricted to zelda content i’ll take anything you make man
I've watched this a few times now. still in awe.
ah yes, link is now the perfect house owner! go queen!
This is awesome. Thanks for being awesome. I can't wait to build a slayyyy gurrrrrl skybase.
Imagine Zelda getting rescued and Link taking her to his house just for Zelda to see THIS
It’s good to see you again! I understand the shifting hyperfocus issue so well! YT is my hobby, and I don’t want to lose my love of it by burning out. Watching this motivated me to start a new video today :)

For those of you who need it... 6:58 Here's the timestamp for where Kleric says how long to wait after firing off the rockets.
Well specifically, how long you wait after the house reaches the peak of its height~
The DLC for totk should include no additional content other than expanding house building like its animal crossing
I love your videos, still. Very classy & fun presentation!
If Clarity is Gold, then you are a wealthy man! Thank you for the thorough, and simplistic style of providing information.
The cricket 😂
single most slayful tutorial on this video game series ive ever seen
3:33 ahh uh umm uhh hmm uhm uhhh 😳
That part of the video was _surprisingly_ arresting
I once got my entire house stuck underground! You would have to clip through the ground to get to it 😂
I'm skeptical of that. :P
How would you even accomplish this?
@@KlericYT Not too difficult actually! It just involves using the hydrant clipping method.
While building the house, shield clip into it and the game will freakout and place it underground. As long as a single portion of the house remains inbounds connected to the structure Grantéson will let you keep it!
I'll post a video about it on my channel if you're interested.

BRO IVE BEEN WATCHING UR OLD VIDS AND MY REACTION TO THIS UPLOAD IS PRICELESS😭😭😭
Reminds me i had somehow glitched the house to have half the house outside the barrier once around this time last year... never did figure out what i did...
Was the first time i made a house, over the cliff toward terrytown. Anyone ever had an experience like that?
I haven't, but if that's possible, that's maybe 1 step closer to being able to put your house anywhere. :o
I hope this can be replicated!
I need this many pictures of Purah.
Aint no way the man himself finally uploaded another video
"or learn some SECRETS...!" timed perfectly well with the brass swell from the bowser cutscene of cloud kingdom is hilarious
Kleric has the tutorial voice and is an actually good teacher.
Also love the use of past Zelda music.
Very fun and engaging video. 💯
tutorial on how to do this in real life?
Thank you for this! I'd forgotten you showed this a long time ago but I'd always wondered how it was possible!
I love how you pronounce granteson lmao
it feels almost passive-aggressive 😆
What if Kleric was freaky and was called Freakyric
I love the panenkoek type music and explination, that hit💅
I never usually comment often, but I'd like to say that I missed your uploads. I'm glad you're back, link man.
you can make a very long house that just a tiny bit over the rope, and create a platform lifting the house from outside the building zone.you can also create a large autobuild object with a time bomb, and talk to granetson as soon as the bomb explodes and despawns the autobuild object, creating an acsendable floating house.
Have you personally gotten the 2nd thing to work?
I was under the impression that Grantéson checks for movement after you ask him to be done, and during the black screen it resets back to it's original position and he makes a judgement.
sorry, I've just seen tweets doing it.but i can comfirm that you can float rooms with this method, so it should work for the entire house.perhaps the version of the game could change the results?
@@user-et2dx5du7e I just can't think of how it would work exactly. :O
Time stops when you talk to an NPC; do you mean talk to Grantéson the same frame the time bomb explodes?
@@KlericYT yep, autobuild something like the giant stone cube with a timer bomb atatched, activate it, and talk to granteson when it explodes
@@user-et2dx5du7e I'll try it~
The king of glitches returns!
I did this but in an intended way, I used stairs as a support for the structure, its exactly high enough for me to reach it from the shrine next to it, and its AsThEtIc 💅💅
the quality of your videos is amazing. 3d animations??? goddamn
I'm sorry but I definitely do need all those pictures of Purah
Based on the thumbnail and the tutorial, I think I’ve found another drag race enjoyer💅 To be more specific - Alysa Edward?😂
I've not watched any of drag race, I just like portraying Link as a sassy queen bitch~
My god, this is amazing work for such a niche problem. 10/10 research + video. Also, I wonder if attaching rockets and talking to the inspector at the peak of the house's ascent would make the house count as stable. This is assuming that a unit is considered steady if its speed is under some tolerance value
Unfortunately not. I believe the way it works is during the black screen, physics are turned on for a couple seconds, and he makes a judgement based on that, then resets the units back to how they were when you talked to him, and gives his assessment.
Loved this video, especially the house design tips (and I didn't get confusing feelings hearing you say "good boy", shut up)
