@@stevegoodwin4914 Sadly, We really don't know for sure because of way they presented it. It is assumed and I believe they did. That scene really made me mad that we couldn't of gotten more. Remember all the hell he went through & how their arch ended. That is what I am talking about. One thing I have realized in watching this show, Daryl is always set up to not be happy. If you think about it, every character has some time that they were truly happy in this show except him. I am not sure why that is put that is lot of his character. Like I said I hope I am wrong put everything is pointing to another bad end.
At first I was afraid I won’t like this spin off because Carol is my favorite character and also Daryl. I didn’t want to sit too much high expectation just to be let down first and foremost I go in watching these new Spin offs for what it is. I know I’m not gonna get hyped watching it like I did the original walking dead season one through five. I just hope that the writing is consistent with the characters arc and the new elements that’s added Makes sense. Of the three Spino so far I think the book of Carol kept me interested every single episode. Like I wanted to see what happened or get a little bit more interested waiting for next weeks episode something I have not had in a long time watching The Walking Dead. Dead city is good because the chemistry between JDM and Lauren. The end of their first season didn’t get me feel like I can’t wait until next season. Is made it kind of predictable to the point where it feels like Maggie is going to try to save Neegan. When you watch the sixth episode of the book of Carol watch the last 10 minutes twice. U might find the season ending episode not fulfilling unless you really paid attention. All I’m going to say is I’m glad that they did some callbacks and some people got that closer that they need.
I have decided to give up on expecting good writing these days and it makes it a lot easier to enjoy shows. I have seen the whole of daryl s2 - spoiler free - and it was really good! Satisfying story in ways and now can't wait for s3. I just couldn't resist watching whole season, it's felt very walking dead to me, again not caring to much about writing 🙂 and I loved this season!
@javi-kun9517 since your comment was vague I will leave it - but no spoilers please. Ask appropriate questions AFTER that particular episode aired and review video is up.

Thanks for the trailer breakdown, but seriously those writers need a stern talking to. I'm not a massive fan of some of the quite frankly pointless plots like the whole ignominious Greenland fiasco. It does get a little silly in parts with some of the more 'filler' scenes. Great job on this update.
Yeah the Greenland thing was pointless - did not move the story forward and was very far fetched - Greenland has almost no one there - and they land in the middle of nowhere - find walkers and people
not for the stake but Carol has visions like the Maid of Orleans she wears her hair short she is frail almost invinsible like Joan of Arc while they are both driven by a murderous madness one saw her sister being massacred the other her daughter and both have dilemmas with faith
There is a channel that I am watching now where he is reviewing every episode of an older show for 1st time. It’s a show I know pretty well & for what I have seen everyone is not telling him anything & being very respectful. I believe he would say something if people weren’t respectful & he hasn’t. Some of other channels I watch are really good about saying this is a spoiler review or please no spoilers in this review and pretty much same thing they don’t say anything so I assume people are respectful. Most of these people are pretty up front if some bad is going on in comments. So, that’s my experience.
I don't see how it's a stretch for her to meet Codron at all. We already knew from the end of the previous episode that he was being tortured by Genet, and we know that Carol is serving food in Genet's compound. You think Codron doesn't have to eat? I suppose Genet *could* torture him by not feeding him, but that's more of a stretch imo, in that she'd be risking his death. Which would be a pretty stupid thing to do considering how important it is to her to get the information on Daryl's location from him 🤷♂. It makes perfect sense for a woman serving food to serve food to someone who is being held in the compound in which she's working. It almost feels like you're looking for things to pick apart, lol 😅...
I meant it more about the overall getting to France, quickly finding Genet's group, getting to the compound, getting in, finding Codron, etc etc etc - not the fact Codron was there and needed to eat
@@TWDExplained I mean... I guess... But isn't any story made up of coincidences? Nothing would ever happen if not for random chance, right? I say you do you man. I didn't even know about the leaks! Show is not really good enough to look at leaks at this point. Sunk cost fallacy is why i still watch twd universe
Ok so I have some issues about the show and I’m wondering if someone can give me some clarity here because I hear what fans of the show are saying and all but man (these aren’t spoilers but I guess they technically are if you aren’t caught up on the show)… Ok so, there is a scene in the first season where Daryl LITERALLY sees Laurent surrounded by dozens of walkers. Daryl helplessly watches on as the kid just stands there. He says like a prayer or something and the walkers are like “man I could’ve sworn I had a role on this show. Oh well, let’s gets out of here y’all I’m hungry” and walk away. Obviously something is up with him. Maybe Daryl should let them experiment on him after seeing that but of coarse Daryl thinks this is last of us and is like “but wait I care about him”. Oh yeah and also, in other scenes Laurents getting attacked by walkers like he’s normal. First what? Second why does it feel like nobody, fans and characters in the show alike, act as though that never happened? And how is it walkers didn’t recognize him only for that scene, it’s like the writers are messing with the audience trying to say “see? Plot armor does exist”. Maybe there’s something I’m missing. Another issue I have is Codron. I’m not understanding his character at all. So he’s in Genet’s back pocket and Daryl gets mixed up in things and ends up killing his brother of all ppl. You think this would piss him off to the point of revenge. Which it seemed to at first as not only did Genet want to get to Daryl but he seemed to have an extra sense of motivation now. And it’s led to several fights as Codron proceeded to hunt for Daryl. And here’s the kicker, in the end he actually gets his chance to kill Daryl ! But after all that pursuing. After all those deaths. With Daryl staring down the barrel of his gun and his brother on his mind he goes “You know what? You should get out of here and get that kid to safety” again WHAT? where did this sudden heart come from? Then you think he’d want to get out of dodge and quick because Genet won’t be happy with him now. Nope, wastes no time getting captured and now he’s being tortured. Now I’m like “he must really hate Daryl now. After all he’s the reason he’s going through what he’s going through. I’m thinking with no connection to any of them, he should give up the information he knows no type of persuasion needed but he doesn’t. Why? 🤷♂️ But I am liking Carol tho.
