WHAT LIES BENEATH Stoney Cove? Diving in a Flooded Quarry in Leicestershire, UK

Here's some highlights from our July 2022 club trip at Stoney Cove in Leicestershire, UK.
The visibility was around 3 - 6 metres but unfortunately, there was a lot of algae in the water. We still had fantastic dives and saw many of the attractions around the 6 - 22 metres areas.
Well done to one of our club members, Magi, who completed her 50th dive and dry suit training with us during the weekend!

Nice vid. Of course, for accuracy, the FV432 isn't actually a 'tank', but an Armoured Personal Carrier and the one in Stoney is probably drier than the one I lived out of in Germany in the late 80s 🤣

Starting my open water PADI training tomorrow at one of my local clubs. Done plenty of snorkelling but never diving. Looking forward to it - only think I am a bit unsure of is the exercise to clear a flooded mask. Looks easy enough but worried about breathing in the water up my nose or panicking LOL.

That’s great, best of luck. Just take your time, the mask clears can take a little time but it will come with practice.
