DIVING AT STONEY COVE | UK Dive Site Guide | Stoney Cove Watersports and Scuba Diving Centre

For my second trip to Stoney Cove, I met up with an old friend Ian 'Mozza' Morris, went with my buddy 'Shotgun Mike', to meet and do some collaboration work with my new mates from "The Dive Line Podcast" Craig Morris and Jim Marshall. Great day out shitter than shit viz!
Diving first started here around 1960 and as the sport gained popularity Stoney Cove was developed into the amazing underwater adventure park it is today. Last year they won Dive Centre of the Year 2019.
Much work has taken place to keep Stoney Cove at the forefront of diver training and it is recognised as the benchmark for other centres to follow. The Centre includes a heated indoor training pool, superb conference rooms, a fantastic dive store with a vast range of dive gear at very competitive prices and a super public bar and restaurant called Nemos as well as the underwater features. Nitrox is usually available.

I live in Tenerife, visiting the UK next year and plan to come and do a dive here. Is visibility usually better than this?

Hi Matthew, it all depends where you dive, stoney cove isn’t known for the best visibility. Capernwray is usually a lot better especially mid week.
