This move is perfectly cromulent IMO. Polo had a 114 wRC+ in the second half with acceptable plate discipline. If (big if) he stays healthy, maintains a 110(ish) wRC+, and plays average defense, you have a nice 2 WAR floor. And even if he fails, they move on without hindering the miniscule budget much.

Got a WSU Cougs question! How many Cougs players was Jimmy Roger's able to turn around from the transfers Portal to stay around @ WSU Cougs 🤔?

My problem is the money since supposedly the Astros weren’t even willing to pay him 4 million so I feel like we could’ve gotten him for less. It’s not like he had any other options like if we had the budget. We should have then sure 7 million is nothing but they’re working on fucking pennies thanks to John Stanton.

I know this isn't the sexy move most of us were hoping for, but I'm actually okay with this. I think moving to 3B makes sense given his declining range and knee injury, although I guess the concern is does he have the arm strength to make those long throws from 3B to 1B. Let's hope that Perry Hill works his magic with helping Polanco adapt to 3B and improving as a fielder, and that Polanco's numbers return close to pre-2024 levels. Thanks for putting together this video!

Moore is best used as a utility man. He is extremely valuable and useful when used for his strengths. The problem is they keep having to fucking have him play more games than he should.
