This is exactly like me mate. Stalker is the main reason I even wanted to get a PC in the first place. This guide made it simple AF. I did laugh that the stalker trilogy came out on consoles recently, but I'm so happy I've got a PC I'm tempted to sell my series X now because I can't see myself using it anymore to be fair

After trying to mod the game for literally 6-8 hours (with no luck because I'm totally new to modding and am self teaching everything), I found this video. And after 20 minutes, I have the mod downloaded. Thank you, dude. I know this is pretty niche and not something many people will need today, but it helped me tremendously. Thanks for the effort dude. There is someone experiencing the series for the first time because of YOU. It really made a difference.

There were some UA-cam videos that were helpful, but they were old and were missing a lot of steps of the process. So based on my horrible experience with installing the mods, I decided to make a clear and straight to the point video on how to install the mods. I'm currently playing the 3 OG games before STALKER 2 comes out, and I wanted to help others to play the 3 OG games and get the STALKER 2 full experience. That was my motivation. Awsome tutorial cant wait to start my stalker trilogy using this video, i have 2 questions maybe u can help, does playing in ultrawide 21:9 will have any impact in term of bugs besides the ui and scopes, and my second question is does this mod fixes the grass shadow ive heard that the latest patch they disabled, thank you
I used the read me initially then decided to double check for a tutorial. When I changed the second line from false to true the spacing changed and doesn't look similar to yours-- even after having saved and closed. You think this will have any ramifications during the playthough? I am starting back on a save from a few months ago without the mod pack. I read it's fine to do so and hoping nothing crashes my game due to that discrepancy.
I mean just try it and see if works. A quick way to check if the mod modifier is working will be to use the mod modifier and change something you can quickly check, for example head bobbing or sleeping bag on inventory. Try any of those two setting and enable and disable them, and see if it works. If it works then everything is right.
I installed all the mods to modernize it, but man...I shouldn't have played G.A.M.M.A before the OG Trilogy. It's really hard for me to go backwards when it comes to features and what not. I LOOOVE GAMMA, but the OG 3, meh. Story is fantastic, but the games leave a lot to be desired after playing Anomoly, EFP. and GAMMA
The friend that introduce me into STALKER, played all the games and by far the one he enjoys most is Gamma. He plays like a combination of STALKER-Tarkov. I personally don't care much about playability if the stories are good, but I understand others may do.

But if you are in a hurry, here are a few setting that can better your experience in SoC. -Lower the head bobbing -Deactivate the radiation whiteout -activate weapons repair That should be enough to get you started. The crash and bug fixes are already applied when you install the mod. The rest is just little details.
Hi, I installed all the mods and followed the video, but I am having problems with ZRP applying the changes. When I make changes in the modifier, they don't save. When I close and reopen it, none of the boxes I checked are still checked. Someone said something about not installing steam games into Program Files (x86). But i have no idea how to remove it all. Any help would be great. Thanks
I see... Ok make sure when you do something on the modifier to hit "apply". Every time you change something right after, hit "apply". Also make sure the mod is correctly installed, check the "fsgame" where you have to change the false, make sure everything looks like mine. It may be the installation folder, I have stalker on "Program files" but not the "Program Files (x86)", it may be that. In that case uninstall the game and the mod. Install the game again and make sure you choose a route that leads to "Program files". I hope it help!

Damn that's strange. I never hear of that try checking your that your mouse is working correctly, make sure you don't have a controller connected. If nothing changes uninstall and install the game again.

Did you watched the full video? In the second part of the video I show how to Install the ZRP mod for SoC. Now if you want other mods (ex graphics enhancement and weapons mods) I have no idea. I just installed and played with ZRP mod because it fixes bugs and minor details. If you want the vanilla experience for SoC, the ZRP mod is the way to go. If you want to change the game completely I'm not your guy.
Try right click, open with, then select notepad. If you don't have notepad installed I will recommend that you install it, it is a basic program on windows.

How come when i open the game i cant move my characters head around at all?? I also can move thru the menu at all as well.

it doesnt give me the option to open the file with notepad. The file is .ltx. What should I do?
