The cast is laughable tbh the experts don't know shit I can't stand how they make the metal detector dude out to be the only person in the world who can walk wave something and listen for a beep then 98% of the time his guess of what it is turns out to be wrong.. Finds a piece of metal claims its the part of a horses left sides plow mechanism off a look lol .
@@J-man1017 He is the most annoying character in this show. I am from he Uk and I have yo ask just wth did his accnt come from cos he is mangling the spoken word.
There were probably things stashed away in several areas throughout the island, but after so long I think everything that can be found already has been. A few people on the island apparently suddenly became rich for mysterious reasons and left. There could still be a stash of some sort somewhere, but I personally don't think anything is left.
I think you're right, and that over the years locals who had a lot more time to go poking around probably a good deal of the treasure, and of course weren't about to say anything. It's also quite possible the people who originally buried the treasure came back at some point, removed it not telling a soul.
More likely it was some farmers and people who used the island as a stop off. They dug a garbage pit or midden and just tossed stuff into it. Sometimes coins went in it. No one was digging a 100+ ft deep hole with hand tools to hide anything especially since it meant they probably couldn't recover the goods themselves later.
I have been reading various books about Oak Island since I was a kid (since about 1966). From all my readings and TV documentaries through the years I have come to the conclusion that what ever was there had been found many years ago. Originally, many years ago the island was divided up into approx.12 owned parcels of land. This was well over 100+ years ago. Possibly 200+ years ago. One of the parcels was owned by a fairly poor man. One day, out of the blue he came into a HUGE amount of money and left the island. I believe that was part (or possibly ALL) of the treasure. There was another story of boys living on the island (I assume with their parents). They found a very wide indentation in the soil. The soil was sunk down in a certain spot they accidently discovered. Well, they dug up the indented area and there was a treasure box. Not a kings ransom but a lot of old loot. I believe their family left the island as well. Conclusion: I believe there "was" treasure on Oak Island but it had been found a very long time ago.
I get that feeling myself, but if the treasure was easily enough to be found hundreds of years ago by a couple guys with shovels, why are there tunnels 200 feet down.
@@gentoolive they were either probably made by other people looking for the treasure or perhaps submerged lava tubes which suggests a volcanic past for the island
Inkey2️⃣: I believe you're right. I even believe that if there was more treasure than that found by the man and the boys, was retrieved by the original people that hid it in the 1️⃣st place.
No! It's a fable, predicated on falsehood wrapped in mystery! The crew should move on to investigating the Aztec gold stolen by Cortez and buried near the Superstition Mts., in Az..
The real 'curse' of Oak Island 🏝is that the treasure was buried and found long ago by the original people who buried it in the 1️⃣st place, except for the man and those boys.
I live in Nova Scotia, and have visited Oak Island, a long time ago. The curse that is described, has been around a lot longer than the Lagina Brothers.
honestly, while i'd love to believe there is a treasure, and rick and morty are funding the digs themselves as claimed here, i HIGHLY doubt anyone who thought there was actually treasure, would be searching in the manner this show presents. they are OBVIOUSLY bouncing back and forth from one random spot to another, drilling wells and digging on a small scale, in the most expensive way possible to extend the series, so the history channel can milk it for more advertising revenue, which as the "stars" of the show, the legenas would GREATLY profit from. if they ever actually believed there was a massive treasure buried there, they would do what gold miners do to find all the gold in an area... strip mine the island down to bedrock in sections, then backfill and return the land to it's previous state afterward, which would be less expensive than drilling all those holes at over a million dollars a pop, and would eliminate any doubt as to whether or not they missed anything. Hell... contact the crews from Gold Rush Alaska, they'll tear that entire island apart and put it back together in a single season, and i guarantee they wont miss a speck of gold.
I've been a big fan of the Oak Island treasure since I was a little kid, and I hope they find it someday. But honestly I don't really think there's anything there, or if there was it's long been gone.
You're right. There's probably never been buried treasure there, in its famous money pit. Some archaeologists have said that the money pit never existed, and was actually a big and deep sinkhole. They also say that it's flood tunnels, that were connected to the side of it, never existed in the past or present. There's also no evidence that the original inscribed stone, that was found ninety feet down in the money pit, ever existed either.
I don't care about any curse. The Lagina brothers and their associates and fellow diggers have made some remarkable and history changing discoveries. It's my opinion that this was a marine terminal for any number of enterprises going back to 360 BC.
I read that story in the Readers Digest in 1965 and was very interested, but never had the means to follow that dream. So dismissed as such. When I discovered that the Discovery Channel had started a series with the Lagina Brothers, I became very interested and followed every year since. I do hope they find treasure, but I hope it is not the Ark of the Covenant or The Holy Grall. I hope it is a pirates treasure lost for hundreds of years. I still think there is a ship in the swamp and over the years has come apart with the mud. I also believe Oak Island used to be two Islands and would be interest to find out what was the name of the other Island. I hope they come up with another Season, because I am very interested.
who would bury something so deep to where they'd never be able to retrieve it? Also, how ironic is it that they're wasting million$ into something called THE MONEY PIT?
Exactly...the depth doesn't make any sense at all? What treasure if any could have been found long ago by a smart person who kept their mouth shut and enjoyed the fruits of their labor.
@@randallalan4221the dumb thing is, the „floods“ they mysteriously keep experiencing in every hole they dig is most likely filtered sea water seeping through the (as geographers have confirmed) extremely sandy and porous underground. it‘s physically impossible to dig a hole that doesn‘t immediately flood on that island below a certain depth, and it has always been. it‘s virtually impossible that anyone ever, let alone 500 years ago, could dig a hole to that depth, much less hide a treasure and protect it with intricate defense mechanisms. and what kind of idiot hides extremely valuable treasure in SALT WATER on a remote island, well-knowing that retrieval would be impossible? if it‘s about disappearing something, throwing it into the atlantic ocean would‘ve been somuch less trouble.
My daughter & I have been watching the show & love the Lagina brother’s enthusiasm. However, I also feel that Mr. Ball found the majority of the treasure 100 years ago. We still have hope for the team‼️😁
the shows has been a great success & granted they haven't hit the jackpot but they have unearthed a lot of previously unknown history some some of the stuff they did find is priceless
There is an episode where the McGinnis sisters say McGinnis (the one from 1795) and 2 others found 3 treasure chests and McGinnis shows a 500+ year golden cross to prove it and this "energizes" the Lagina brothers and crew LOL! That treasure is gone!
As a viewer and fan for years, this show has given me hours of entertainment. Time I truly "treasure". As the saying goes " Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". In this case Treasure. The relics dug so far have given us pause as to where it came from or from whom. Yes I will continue to watch Rick and Marty in their quest for treasure whatever that may be. Naysayers take a chill pill and enjoy the content of the show.
Lol some people enjoy factual shows, not fictional treasure hunters who are planting “artifacts” for tv ratings. Remember that “roman” sword they found in the water off the island? Haha! Don’t be so sure about these guys. The fact that they haven’t even found the original money pit after 10+ years should tell you all you need to know about how badly they want to find the treasure
I've enjoyed watching the show myself. I know vfc there are a bunch bvb of any sayers on here but I don't care. I have enjoyed myself and that's all I care about.
I wish I could remember his name, but years ago I had a neighbor who spent his life savings, lost his marriage and decades of his life searching in vain for whatever treasure he said was there. He had numerous volumes of literature and maps, and with all of that he came up empty handed. I politely declined in investing in any further misadventures.
Yes, there's treasure on Oak Island. It's generated by the millions of dollars made from TV series. Ask yourself how people hundreds of years ago could hide treasure that can't be found using all the technology available today? People have been watching too many Indiana Jones movies.
I agree. I literally came here from Hulu when I saw they are onto the 10TH F UCKING SEASON. 😂 I see a whole lot of the term "scientific evidence" in episode descriptions and not so much in the form of gold. It is %100 dramatized to keep people tuning in, just like any other REALITY show based on mystery theories. Finding Bigfoot is a perfect example.
@@theOneandOnlyhomieG Hey now, hey now. We can't rule out Bigfoot as the one who dug those holes. From my research, Bigfoot or more commonly known as: Bigus Apeolonia, is capable of digging two 2000 foot deep holes in half the time as that thing Shredder used to escape the turtles all the time....
I saw that edition of Readers Digest about Oak Island. Yes, I believe the curse is real. But there are some questions about how many would have to die before the questions are answered. I've been watching this show from the start. They have indeed found some treasures in a pin and coins on the Island. They have found gold in the water that they experts claim there has be a lot of gold buried to have that much in the water. It is a great show but I do have some doubts that any treasure remains there.
The way everything is looking what they have found isn't a treasure island but possibly an old gold mine. They found a pine tar kiln for smelting gold down into gold bars the mine shafts were sunk to mine for the gold and of course the axe heads were to cut timber for the shafts but also the pear for the ships into the edge of the what is the swamp but also timber would also be used for housing while living on the island. Could it have been the nights templars maybe and maybe not but what is known is that according to the lead cross they were christian and that's really all that is known other than the island was a gold mine and was being mined by people who were christians.
If I remember correctly, there was mention of a black man lettuce farmer who became filthy rich and lived on the island. I'm no farmer but that doesn't sound plausible to me. Lettuce is a great food but not a fortune maker. I suspect he found the treasure and that is how he became wealthy.
As a young boy I was on the Island many times had family outings there. My dad delivered supplies there to the project in the late 50's an 60's. Dad had some things found there he lost them, he knew a lot, but never said much about it. I think something is down there.
Stop thinking about treasure & think why else would someone do this? To rescue themselves, then as port of call for ship maintenance. It's a marina, built by need. The construction of Oak Island tunnels & shaft system is not to hide treasure, it is a water-shed lift system to raise ships for making repairs. Oak Island is a marina repair station. The shafts & tunnels are part of a gravity lift systems to raise & lower the water in swap area to dry-dock a ship, make repair & relaunch vessel. Ship wrecked or damaged vessel makes its way into swamp & they began work to save themselves. Masts damage to ship hull, lots of reasons to dry- dock or build a new vessel from a wreck & island resources. I think visions of treasure, have obscured true history.
@@rickspearman344 When a boat enters the lock, the gates close and the water level inside the lock is raised to the upstream level or lowered to the downstream level, depending on which way the boat is moving. The locks are filled and emptied by gravity-no pumps are used. Water could be channeled into shaft from either direction, using gravity “to siphon” the flow of water into or out of the “lock” in this case the swamp
@@rickspearman344 example/ Close off swamp & dam in up to drain out water, this is often done for construction projects. Now you walk up to boat, make repairs. When ready refill swamp open gates(dam) and you’re back on water
@@rickspearman344 Anyway Rick, Oak Island team keeps saying the drainage tunnels were there to drain the shaft. I think perhaps the shaft is there to drain the swamp for dry dock repairs. They have different shafts, so they can fill or empty. As you noted without pumps, a gravity siphoning system would requiring filling the shaft to provide enough lift to change water levels. 🍻🤷 Anyway that’s what I see after watching this show
@@rickspearman344 The meaning of dry dock is a structured area wherein construction, repairs and maintenance of merchant vessels and boats are carried out. This unique construction or arrangement allows the water to be filled up in an area, also known as a lock so that vessels can be maneuvered in and out of the area. Once the vessel enters the dry dock, the gates are closed and the seawater is drained out so that the hull and other parts of the ship, which have been exposed to seawater for a long time are exposed for carrying out maintenance and repair works.
It makes absolutely no sense, the treasure is kept from ever being recovered by some elaborate booby trapped underground fortress many many feet down, dug with wooden shovels. Even if possible all those years ago I question why anyone would go through all that trouble to basically secure something that valuable so it can never be accessed. Just take it to the middle of the Atlantic and dump it overboard, "EASY PEASY"!!
My personal theory is that because Rick and Marty have dated thins from the 13th and 14th century and the 16th and 17th century. I believe treasure was deposited in the 13 - 14th century and recovered in 16th - 17th century. Thats just my rwo cents. Keep the change
@@AutomatedPersonelUnit_3947 I think we all know the black cabbage farmer found the treasure many many years ago and was smart enough to keep his mouth shut! Good for him! Well deserved.
Any treasure was obviously found by Samuel Ball, the cabbage farmer, who became one of the wealthiest people in Nova Scotia, from selling cabbage, yeah sure.
The first question I would ask myself is, did the original owners expecting to recover the treasure, or was it location clearly provided to anyone who could work out the clues? Or would a known associate find it, or pass it on until someone finds it? In any case, unflooding the pits would also be included in the clues. This is what I would be doing first, not digging holes that are going to flood. I don't think there is a treasure in the first place.
I think Sam Ball found and spent the treasure years ago but I love that they are finding proof of the real history of Nova Scotia. I think its also a subliminal ad for trade unions because the way they stand around instead of getting on with digging drives me nuts. 🤣😂
I think its real but I also think they are out to lunch checking the money pit area. The people that built everything there went to a huge amount of trouble to cover their tracks. A huge effort, so why would they leave a pulley about a hole in the ground? They went to all that trouble just to leave a ridiculously noticeable clue at the very end when they leave? Thats just dumb. And so are the people that fell for it. I believe the treasure or whatever is there just no where close to the money pit.
Obviously it has been found. You keep hearing about Samuel Ball and how he was poor and then ended up rich and buying lots of land. Where do you think he got his fortune from?
The greatest mystery of Oak Island is just how little the people that lived there dropped, or lost on the land they lived on for several centuries. Not one object of value has ever been found is another mystery for the same reason. It is well documented in public records, that people lived there, people had houses, cleared fields for garden crops, used tools and implements, yet very little has been found. Not one speck of material ever found on that island has been proven to be anything other than evidence of people living out their lives there, which is already known, down to who they were.
Still remember being fascinated as youngster glued to television watching..In Search Of...and listening to Mr Leonard Nimoy!! These people have ruined the DREAM with their Greedy convoluted nonsense!! thank you FV.
I haven't watched the show but I know of the legend and the attempts to get at the possible treasure. I have to say that whether or not there's a treasure there someone a long time ago went to great lengths to set up that island and whoever set up the traps and such needed to have some knowledge of mining engineering. I recall the mines were set to flood using coconut fibers and that there were two locations on the island to set up these traps. I won't say there's a treasure there but someone set something up on that island long ago. As for the curse, I have to ask what the source of it is, curses don't just originate from anywhere.
I have followed the show from the beginning and they have found a man made swamp, buried roads, parts of very old ships, very old wood ,human bone fragments, leather and many other things hundreds of feet under ground, very old wood structures buried on the sea floor remains of wharf possibly and many other fascinating things. Clearly this was an island that was used a lot by Europeans a very long time ago and tunneled they don't believe they were mining. Does this mean there is treasure there no one knows yet.
They just need to find enough to make an expensive tourist resort... Oh I mean privately owned historical area 🤣 if they can find one intact borehole or cave or coin they will "imagine" the construction of recreations with tourism in mind... That would be my end goal, one coin or one million, especially if they could then share any REAL historical documentation of European settlements and use of the Island during the "treasure time period" so they don't get first nation canceled instead 😆
I've watched the show a lot, my conclusion: according to the show they've found things from different countries,, 1 was there then Another and never ran into one another or saw the old remnants/ fresh work of someone else ?, personally I think someone of the workers went renegade/ came back and got it ! JUST MY STUPID COMMON SENSE THINKING I would bet even money that they don't find CRAP! That was a helluva lot of deep TIME consuming HAND DIGGING FOR SOME REASON , don't get me wrong I hope they find the Big lute
May be somethin on that island, as Marty often says, I’m more interested in the history(Samuel Ball etc.) but they’re not gonna find anything, at least not on the show!…
I just hate how they flip around- Block off that swamp and find out what is there-every week = a piece of wood or a plank- Well let’s FINALLY find out -There is Definitely a past connected to Europe with the building of the Cobblestone roads-If they can build PYRAMIDS-They can bury a treasure
I enjoy the show and I hope there really is a treasure. The "curse" states seven must die before the treasure will be found. Six active treasure hunters have already passed away. So with the deaths of Mr. Blankenship and Mr. Nolan, who were actively searching for the treasure, why hasn't anything resembling treasure been found?
@@jimneal4385 I also read many books and the original Reader's Digest article and I have either forgotten or couldn't find it either. I also saw a documentry that said the brothers are on a wild goose chase because the treasure was relocated somewhere else years ago. I wish them luck and that they have the money to continue on.
i know i can‘t prove it, but given how this show sources literally nothing ever, i‘m 90% certain that the showrunners made that curse up completely or at the very least wildly embellished it for dramatic effect. Curses, much like that treasure probably, just aren‘t real. It is sort of hilarious that the showrunners never even bothered to make up an excuse for the now technically void curse though. that, or someone in production told them to knock it off and not utilise people‘s deaths for plot points.
@atlas956 The idea of treasure buried on Oak Island has been around many, many years. But except for the stories told as part of the background information given on the program, you never heard of anyone finding anything. With all the various people searching for the treasure, you would think something would have been found. Many of the searches had the funds to tear the island apart in an effort to locate the treasure, but nothing. Ancestors of the original depositors don't seem to care about the treasure either? I don't know, maybe they will find something, but it's been I believe 10 seasons of looking and spending money and no treasure. .
If more than one person was involved in burying a treasure, do you really think they all just walked off (or sailed off) into the sunset, never to return to recover their treasure? Just leaving it there for someone/anyone to find? .... I will give you a few minutes to mumble to yourself and scratch your head. The island history is interesting, but I seriously doubt there is any treasure. Maybe they will continue to find little trinkets, but "the treasure" is long gone!
They been taking about the vault for a long time, and they are on the verge of hitting it this year, the true treasure of this show is all the history!! Anyone who cares about anything else misses the point, because some of the trinkets that Gary destroy finds with his metal detector makes the show worth it imho. You can say what you want and let your jealousy of their money show, but there’s a lot of cool stuff I tune in for week in and week out
I agree with the idea that there "was" a treasure at one time. What it was is anyone's guess. If the Laginas want to keep digging, more power to them. I find their series more interesting than many of these so called (scripted) reality shows out of Hollyweird.
I am wondering since the research goes back many many years. Couldnt the native amreicans way back then they could have used them as workers. Has anyone ever checked into this or thought of this.
I think your views and understanding of Niven"s approach are wrong. I have been a viewer since episode one. If there is no credibility to any thing that turns out, I believe the proper channels were followed. I hope for the best and have really enjoyed all but two of the characters. I am full of hope for their success. The engineering of past (depositors) amazes me. I love it. cb
I thought they found the cockamamie treasure and the show ended…. I see other commenters are guessing that the treasure had already been found years and years ago by someone who abruptly left Oak Island….. Anything is possible so maybe they’ll find something after all
I like the show. I do feel someone has removed the treasure in the past. But maybe several were buried and something could be left behind. But then I am no pirate.
They keep talking about Knights Templar in the show. So how did the Templars get coconut fiber? Also, laginas are going about digging like blind mice instead of strategically. They could dig a long trench, kinda like laying sewer pipe or gas lines. Then figure out where the "flood tunnels" are. Then get an idea of where the Money pit is, and dig a large area slowly. And reinforce the hole to prevent collapse. Go about it as if they are going to build a subway, except keep the refuse and look for treasure.
Two swallows, African swallows, and they gripped the coconut by the husks! Seriously, how many times have they drained the bay, dug in it, then buried it again?
There’s absolutely no treasure on oak island! It was used by the military as an observation post and for ship repair, they used levies to dry dock ships! It was also used by pirates and buccaneers during the 1500’s. It’s one big looser There’s no treasure there! End Game !!!!
I think it's all a crock. I watched enough to see a pattern develop where just when you think they are going to reveal, it's.....! Just another way to jeep folks watching.
I believe Rick and Morty believe that there is gold or treasure on the island but keep going on digging because they just can't give up it's in their blood now
Sorry I don't think they had the technology back then to do all the things that they say they did. How would they dig the tunnels underwater to make the flood tunnels. Back when they say the treasure was buried all they had were shovels and picks. I'm not saying someone might not have buried treasure on the island. The Black farmer who got rich might have found some. Can't imagine cabbage sold for that much back then. Can you imagine how many people it would take to do all the things hinted at on the show? Not to mention the sailors on the ships that transported everything. No way it could have been kept a secret. While I find the show entertaining I believe it is just one of those myths passed down through the years. But you never know.
The only curse is the people gullible enough to sink their time and money into this myth. Marty is going to go broke from this especially due to the people around him. His brother Rick could never admit there's nothing there because he's in way too deep believing the myth and having his brother finance it. And ALL the experts that are helping them would never tell Marty to give up because as long as the Lagina brothers continue, the experts all continue to get paid their fees and be on the show, so none of them would level with Marty, they would most likely encourage him even more. And as long as the History Channel continues to get viewers, they'll continue to support this nonsense.
this is the most sensible comment i‘ve seen so far. The Laginas must‘ve poured literal millions into this project for embarrassingly few results, but they‘re never going to stop. It‘s also plain impossible that they in all these years never encountered a single actual expert who told them how unlikely it is that they‘re right on any part of the theory… the worst part is that the showrunners managed to turn this idiotic hunt into a profitable tourist trap.
Love the white beard and brown hair. The show has been milking this myth for awhile now. They find a nail, they find a piece of metal, and make a whole show out of each "major' find. Pathetic.

I think the treasure was found and removed a long time ago.
Maybe they buried something that deep because they didn’t want anyone to ever be able to retrieve it 😅
@@randallalan4221the dumb thing is, the „floods“ they mysteriously keep experiencing in every hole they dig is most likely filtered sea water seeping through the (as geographers have confirmed) extremely sandy and porous underground.
it‘s physically impossible to dig a hole that doesn‘t immediately flood on that island below a certain depth, and it has always been.
it‘s virtually impossible that anyone ever, let alone 500 years ago, could dig a hole to that depth, much less hide a treasure and protect it with intricate defense mechanisms.
and what kind of idiot hides extremely valuable treasure in SALT WATER on a remote island, well-knowing that retrieval would be impossible? if it‘s about disappearing something, throwing it into the atlantic ocean would‘ve been somuch less trouble.
My daughter & I have been watching the show & love the Lagina brother’s enthusiasm. However, I also feel that Mr. Ball found the majority of the treasure 100 years ago. We still have hope for the team‼️😁
I don't think the deaths are actually a curse. When people take on dangerous projects, it is only reasonable that they could be killed or hurt.
Exactly ‼️. I had heard, I think on an episode of Drilling Deeper or Drilling Down that, there is no course at all.
Laird Niven seems as much use as a chocolate fireguard, He's never got an idea of anything that's found!!
These Oak Island shows are like the Bigfoot shows, shows where nothing happens.
the shows has been a great success & granted they haven't hit the jackpot but they have unearthed a lot of previously unknown history some some of the stuff they did find is priceless

First saw this story on In Search Of in the 70s
The only fortune associated to Oak Island is the huge one squandered digging there.
Me too, I was a junior in high school in 1985
COME ON....A CURSE...I've got some swamp land you might like...Curse no charge.
It’s 2030 and there’s still another episode of The Curse of Oak Island
Use to watch this show several years ago & stopped watching it cuz I figured it was a hoax I still think its a hoax
It was cabbage
The treasure was in the show and all it's adds, period!!!
As a young boy I was on the Island many times had family outings there. My dad delivered supplies there to the project in the late 50's an 60's. Dad had some things found there he lost them, he knew a lot, but never said much about it. I think something is down there.
Would you rather watch a show like Oak Island or crap like the View?
They got a better chance finding a treasure in my backyard then on oak island
nah dude look up what they found that has been confirmed like the paths that were made hundreds of years ago
Lol i got a metal detector and found more in my yard then anywhere ive gone with it , your right !
The only treasure of Oak Island is that enough people tune in to make it profitable for the sponsors.
Stop thinking about treasure & think why else would
someone do this? To rescue themselves, then as
port of call for ship maintenance.
It's a marina, built by need.
The construction of Oak Island tunnels & shaft
system is not to hide treasure, it is a water-shed lift
system to raise ships for making repairs.
Oak Island is a marina repair station.
The shafts & tunnels are part of a gravity lift
systems to raise & lower the water in swap area to
dry-dock a ship, make repair & relaunch vessel.
Ship wrecked or damaged vessel makes its way into
swamp & they began work to save themselves.
Masts damage to ship hull, lots of reasons to dry-
dock or build a new vessel from a wreck & island
resources.
I think visions of treasure, have obscured true
history.
So how would such a system work without pumps. Gravity alone wouldn't raise wooden ships in the swamp.
@@rickspearman344
When a boat enters the lock, the gates close and the water level inside the lock is raised to the upstream level or lowered to the downstream level, depending on which way the boat is moving. The locks are filled and emptied by gravity-no pumps are used.
Water could be channeled into shaft from either direction, using gravity “to siphon” the flow of water into or out of the “lock” in this case the swamp
@@rickspearman344 example/
Close off swamp & dam in up to drain out water, this is often done for construction projects.
Anyway that’s what I see after watching this show
@@rickspearman344
The meaning of dry dock is a structured area wherein construction, repairs and maintenance of merchant vessels and boats are carried out.
You are not counting the bones dug up
I think it's hoop-la reality TV. Nothing here, move along. Bigfoot already swam to the island and took the bounty.😂
LOL.
What sort of idiot would believe a pirate would actually bury treasure. For what reason? They would be having a great time spending it.
nope,.. it was all taken after the Templars were pardoned, it was there,.. but it was hauled out prior to 1595.

I thought treasure was myth and tales but never knew that facts verse

I think its real but I also think they are out to lunch checking the money pit area. The people that built everything there went to a huge amount of trouble to cover their tracks. A huge effort, so why would they leave a pulley about a hole in the ground? They went to all that trouble just to leave a ridiculously noticeable clue at the very end when they leave? Thats just dumb. And so are the people that fell for it. I believe the treasure or whatever is there just no where close to the money pit.
I would like to see their tax records. That is the real mystery of Oak Island.
They are interested in History as well Treasure.
Since the brothers are already rich I'm guessing they want to find hidden treasure just to have their names in the history books

Yes, that’s where I first heard of Oak Island. Back in the mid 70s.
If there ever was a treasure it was removed long ago. The bothers are beating a dead horse. Give it up already. Legends are just folk tales.
Does this mean there is treasure there no one knows yet.
i have followed the show as well but in my opinion they wont find any treasure.
I had a treasure trove of fun watching this while down with COVID so it was worth it for me 😂
I've watched the show a lot, my conclusion: according to the show they've found things from different countries,, 1 was there then Another and never ran into one another or saw the old remnants/ fresh work of someone else ?, personally I think someone of the workers went renegade/ came back and got it ! JUST MY STUPID COMMON SENSE THINKING I would bet even money that they don't find CRAP! That was a helluva lot of deep TIME consuming HAND DIGGING FOR SOME REASON , don't get me wrong I hope they find the Big lute
May be somethin on that island, as Marty often says, I’m more interested in the history(Samuel Ball etc.) but they’re not gonna find anything, at least not on the show!…
Think Samuel Ball absconded with the treasure long ago
One question, Are they losing money and going in the hole, or are they making a profit off of this ?
I’m still interested and I’ll watch until the end. I’m interested in Matt Chisholm. I must have missed the episode on him.

People need to see the show for what it is, just fun entertainment, nothing more..
I can never find where that curse began or why it is in place, could anyone?
@@jimneal4385 I also read many books and the original Reader's Digest article and I have either forgotten or couldn't find it either. @@jimneal4385 ~ I couldn’t find anything on the curse either 🫤
i know i can‘t prove it, but given how this show sources literally nothing ever, i‘m 90% certain that the showrunners made that curse up completely or at the very least wildly embellished it for dramatic effect.

I agree with the idea that there "was" a treasure at one time. What it was is anyone's guess. If the Laginas want to keep digging, more power to them. I find their series more interesting than many of these so called (scripted) reality shows out of Hollyweird.
The real curse is that it's still on TV.
I am wondering since the research goes back many many years. Couldnt the native amreicans way back then they could have used them as workers. Has anyone ever checked into this or thought of this.

It's an ancient mine and swapping warf... That's it!!!! Only going to find artifacts! The place was mined, abused, and abandoned! THE END!!!
Been paying attention to this story since the 60's......there is nothing there. Period.
The curse is my wife insisting I watch it with her and out of 60 minutes of the program, there are 5 minutes of new material.
This program is an Alzheimer's patient's dream come true. Every minute is new and exciting.
THE CURSE of Oak Island is that millionares spend ridiculous amounts of money to find out what the curse of Oak Island is
Love the white beard and brown hair. The show has been milking this myth for awhile now. They find a nail, they find a piece of metal, and make a whole show out of each "major' find. Pathetic.
How interesting!
