Hickok45 videos are filmed on my own private shooting range and property by trained professionals for educational and entertainment purposes only, with emphasis on firearms safety and responsible gun ownership. We are NOT in the business of selling firearms or performing modifications on them. Do not attempt to copy at home anything you see in our videos. Firearms can be extremely dangerous if not used safely.
Ken berry MD 👍🏻👍🏻
My apologies to Dr. KEN Berry. ua-cam.com/users/KenDBerryMD I believe I called him "DAN" in this video.
By any name, he's a fountain of information on the subject; plus, he's quite a character, "ain't" he? :-) It's refreshing to hear so much useful information and intelligence coming from a Southern guy who doesn't always try to hide his inner "Jeff Foxworthy." :-)
@@hickok45 I can shoot my own guns pretty much anytime; I’m here for the common sense lectures. Dr. Ken and Ben Buckman are a wealth of info. People have been sold a lie from the “food” companies and they are so indoctrinated into thinking beef, butter and bacon raise your cholesterol but lab produced margarine, fake oils, and vitamin infused sugar coated cereals are healthy. They can be morbidly obese and diabetic and they’ll tell us we are eating an unhealthy diet. 🙄
Bickman-nabbed by spell checker and UA-cam won’t let me edit a comment outside of their app.
@@hickok45 thank for the response! I’m sure you can’t read them all and respond to them, but I finally got you to respond to one of my post 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸. Stay safe and I have watched every Sunday shoot around to date. Thank you for your wisdom!! It’s much appreciated.
@@hickok45 as Dotti West from Tennessee sang "I'm only human"
Have been following you since 18 years old. I'm 30 next year. Can't thank you both enough.
Hickok, all the very best from the UK. Your videos mean a lot to me and they bring me a lot of warmth and joy. Thanks a lot mate
These Sunday Shootarounds are one of my favorite things! Enjoying my coffee and starting a lazy Sunday with ol’ Hickok! Life is indeed, good.
You’ve been my go-to, for many years, for educational reviews on firearms. I’ve shared your videos with many of my like minded friends.
I truly Thank You, Greg, aka Hickok 45.
Always a good day, bless you and the Tennessee Volunteers
Back in 2007 I had the good fortune to be among 30-40 Confederates and Union rein actors in West Virginia. The encampments were set up and as authentic as one can get. They had a cannon and a drummer boy and it took place at a farm that served as a headquarters for Stonewall Jackson for several months. Not a tourist place and the farm owned by the same family for generations. I was on the battle field and was in the clouds of black powder smoke. It was totally amazing and it seemed to confirm that question about reincarnation as it seemed so filmier to me. I live about 65 miles east of Gettysburg where I’ve spent lots of time over the years. The Civil War was mostly about states rights and there were black troops on both sides. It’s truly an amazing history, as is the Revolutionary and 1812 wars. As you say Hickok 45, Living History is Fantastic! Kind Thanks and Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Please don't change the Sunday Shootarounds! Look forward to them so much!
Thanks for another great video. Love your Sunday videos! Please continue to be the strongest advocate for all of our 2A rights!! We need your giant voice now more than ever, sir. Long live Hickok45!
Mr Hickok, perhaps one of the other nutritional speakers you were trying to think of was Dr. Berg. I just want to tell you that I look forward to your videos and I watch the whole thing each weekend. I hope you don’t change a thing and keep doing what you are doing for a very long time. The saddest thing for me is when you are wrapping up a video and saying goodbye. You remind me of my Dad, he’s been gone for years now. You have so much wisdom and knowledge, about firearms but more importantly about life. You and my Dad would have been great friends, just so much alike. See you next week Sir, thanks for who you are and what you stand for
Yes, I watch Eric Berg, as well.
@hickok45, an absolute legend in the UA-cam gun community! 15 years of videos
Allergic reactions can be a strange thing. Even though you might never have been allergic to something before, doesn’t mean you never will. That last sting might be a warning sign. Probably should talk to your doctor and see if they think you should carry an Epi-pen with you. Especially when your out by yourself filming. Wouldn’t hurt to be prepared. Great video as always.
A good friend of mine started becoming allergic to bee stings at 52 years old. One almost took him out. They can't figure out why all the sudden this happened.
I grew up eating foods with tomato sauce and no issues. In 3rd grade I was eating pizza for lunch at school, my throat started swelling closed and had my first migraine. I’ve been allergic to tomatoes ever since. It’s not as bad as an adult but it’s like you said, allergies can just start one day.
Don't change a thing about what you do on Sunday. Most of us like it just the way it is! 😀 We appreciate what you do.
I always get something from your words of wisdom on each Sunday Shoot-a-Round.
Thanks for the calm and measured example of common sense that you set so well 👍
I had an uncle that was like yours. He had a gun room with racks of rifles. He taught me about trajectory and everything about guns. I miss him all the time.
We Appreciate EVERY Thing You Do
God bless this man, what a treasure.
Another wonderful Sunday sermon! THANK-YOU!
Thank you for all your great videos!
Always enjoyable content. Hickok45 is an 🇺🇸 treasure. Regards from 🇬🇧
The best thing about Sunday.... after coffee, of course
Oh that’s the Long Branch Colt SAA, one of my very favorites. I’d love to order a custom shop model in that spec, or close to it, some day!
watching sunday shoot around on sunday morning is a dose of will rogers kindness for me. add the shooting and it's better
then the real sunday news paper i used to enjoy, with the funnies to look forward to. good day to you.
Good morning for everyone. A Sunday full of blessings for everyone.
OK let me see now. Coffee is on, coffee cup filled, all the chores around the house I did Saturday, and now it's Sunday Shoot-a-Round with Hickok45. Life Is Good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I once bought a Ruger Police Service Six that was Stainless steel because it looked so pretty, I just had to have it. I'll keep that 357 Mag till the day I die.
He should be in movies. On call of duty ... cartoons.. this man is a legend
he was in a zombie movie
Needs to be in GTA
Should make a Hickok45 video game. Lol
Rocky Top
Finally after 15 years
i look up to you heavily, keep up the great content. i love how open minded you are
Love coming back here every Sunday
I love hickok45! Great Man.Great shooter.Great gun instructor.Great American Built.
Thank you for letting me know the great Issac Hayes was from Tennessee. He was a fascinating individual.....I also appreciate your facts on history.
we got winter here. About an inch of snow on the ground this morning. Funny looking at the green leaves were you are. thanks for all the great talks. Clay from northwestern Ontario. (Nolalu)
You should put a bump stock, and an extended magazine on that revolver
Ha! If he tried they would demand a ban on it in congress.
Lol
I was always put off watching these Sunday Shootaround videos because they were long, but it was perfect to watch/listen while I prepared a load of 30-30 and 44-40 brass on a rainy afternoon here in the UK 😁😁🤩
Another Sunday well spent with my favorite Internet Shooting Companion. Thanks HICKOK45!
Nickel was popular in the old days because of its corrosion resistance. In the era of black powder and corrosive primers firearms that required less maintenance were a practical asset. The downside was that the people who were doing the plating were getting sick from the chemicals they worked with. I can't afford real Colts, but if a good used nickel plated Uberti crosses paths with me I'll buy it. Uberti's nickel SAAs have the niter blued screws, I think they make the revolver pop, I like them.
Just having a coffee again, listening to your shoot a round. What a beautiful day to get out and shoot ,Take Care and be Safe
I love watching this guy shoot and talk about guns!
I saw a video your son posted and recognized the range, haven’t really watched these videos in years. You remind me a lot of my dad and when he passed I lost and gained my mind simultaneously. Your videos feel like home to me and I will be returning as a full time viewer and catching up as well. Keep on keepin on!
Don't have steady people in my life ol TBI long time ago as a grunt yer like the dad I never had lol wonderful listening to your talks especially with those revolver's I'm like fishing for wisdom, great catch brother ✌️ p.s. castor oil and rosemary oil those 2fix everything 😁
Hickok is my modern day hero!!!!
After a week of madness thanks to Hickok45 for bringing me back to earth.
Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
bom dia, especialmente para os baianos!!
RJ aqui!!!
Sure do enjoy your videos! You have good advice for the kids. I value your input and glad you put Ken Berry in your comments. Thank you.
When I got my new phone, I down loaded ring tones. I found a silent ring tone and put it on my main tone, then I went to my contacts and assigned them personal ringtones. I never hear those unwanted calls from unknown callers.
Hickok45 is shooting a single action revolver. All is right with the world.🤠👍
Great shoot around today. Thank you. I especially appreciate your transparency about your nutrition. My wife and I are on the same path. You named some of the best mentors for anyone interested in a truly healthy lifestyle that will reverse type 2 diabetes and hypertension. Love you guys
Thank you very much
Great show Hickok45, another fantastic video. Always watch your show from Brisbane, Australia. Is it difficult to obtain rifle primers at the moment in the US? They are very hard to get in Australia at the moment. Stay safe my US brothers and best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺👍🇺🇸
our hodgedon powder i think is just rebranded ADI
Small pistol primers seem to be the ones that are hard to find.
Man I wish I could have some land like him this seems so relaxing an therapeutic. ❤️❤️ An love how he even takes time out too provide some educational knowledge great vid👍🏽👍🏽
I lost 170lbs with keto. It's been 3½ years for me. No more type 2. I love the Sunday videos. Thanks.
That's awesome, congrats on the hard work paying off!
Great job! It's really too bad that the majority of people still think it's a matter of "calories in - calories out," rather than mostly a matter of what those calories ARE.
Participation trophies creates weaknesses.
Everybody gets a blackbelt until a real blackbelt challenges them.
Thank you for everything
Talk all you want to. I’m sure I’m not the only viewer who finds your sharing of your knowledge and opinions to be spot on, or provokes one to consider the other insights one may could learn by considering. That being said, I find it entertaining as well as inspiring when you’re just having fun shooting and enjoying just…shooting.
Hi Hickok, that was nice of you share of those who have gone before us of your late Uncle when you were growing up 😊
Thanks for another great episode. Thanks for calling out Shelby Foote as the premier Civil War historian. His writing is *the* authoritative history of that time period. And his interviews are pure gold, many of which are available right here on UA-cam. Thanks again.
I could listen to him for hours.
Good morning Mr Hickok 😊 thank you for another wonderful Sunday morning 🌄 😀

Got a Mossberg 590 sitting by my bed. I put the adapter in the receiver to accept short shells 00 buck. Really nice shotgun
No sir if you happen to read this please keep it up don't change a thing I love to hear your words of wisdom besides I love guns but I also love to hear you talk stories too you're a legend and I admire the success that you have and the well I probably shouldn't say that but you're still just a plain old Joe and everyday person just like me and some of my friends I'm glad to see that success hasn't changed you that's a compliment sir
MAN, i forget how good he really is!
This man was born a hundred years too late. Would of made a damn good cowboy!
I for one am so glad that he is here now! Always love his content.
The mossburg 535 is a great gunto..Same as a 500 but it holds 3 1/2 inch shells..Some came with 3 barrels turkey slug and smooty.
Thank you for all your wisdom.👍👍
I come here for the mind of an Ifeal American, Gun Fire and Music!
That lil giggle when he nails a target cracks me up. Lmao!
That's some fancy shooting. Switching hands and ringing gongs. Life is good.
This is the best channel on UA-cam.
i'm thankfully for you want to share your world with us. really! (from barcelona)
👍hickok45 Keep On Keeping On, Love Your Videos!
looks just like my favorite pistol, a polished stainless Ruger Vaquero 357 with black grips

Thank you for your knowledge mr.45
Best gun channel on UA-cam
Lived in central city KY in 2010.....also own a single colt .45 💪💪💥💥this Sunday shoot about hit home for me hiccock💪💪
When I was young it was illegal for companies to telemarket. Stores were closed on Sunday too. It was nice.
When I was a young man, I always preferred the nickel plated SAA'. Now while I am older, I prefer the color case hardened and blue ones. Things change.😁
Lol….. funny guy, but sincere as well. There’s a reason he’s so popular.
Practical, common sense life lessons as well as informative firearm information.
A fine single action revolver! Only real cowboys have them.
Thank you for this presentation.
Another Sunday in NC with the man never miss him
Asheville
I love this channel, I have been watching for years eventho I have never even seen a gun being fired in real life
The civil war talk is interesting, I’m from Minnesota and I live near a historic military base that played a part in the war and of course I would fought with the north but it’s very interesting all the history
I had a similar reaction to a yellow jacket sting about a month ago. I’ve been stung many times over the years, but the swelling and pain were definitely much worse this time around.
Maybe the dry weather has caused yellow jackets to eat or drink something they don't normally ingest, something that has enhanced the poison they deliver through their stings. :-)
@@hickok45 ya they eat berries and road kill, so when they sting you are right it's poison
guys are age understand our references and jokes that is why im down here at fire house since 1967! all kidding aside i enjoy your subject matter and have similar advice that i hand out to my kids grand kids great grand kids and younger fireman
God bless you and yours Hickok.
I’m getting ready to shoot an FN Herstal P90 (Airsoft) 😄 Just bought the top-of-the-line one, exceptionally high quality, made by Krytac. 400fps, over 20 rounds per second.
Don’t pay any attention to folks trying to change how your doing your videos. Fact is if they don’t like the topics or how many topics for that matter they can fast forward to see just the shooting portion of the videos. Keep up the great work and thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
Great Morning Professor!
I love the shooting and guns that is how i found you years ago. But listening to your advice on health and finances has been equally enjoyable.
Morning folks.
Please do a video about your behind-the-scenes range maintenance. Must be an awful lot of work setting up & cleaning up. You must have some sort of staff.
Yeah, the "staff" is ME. :-)
That 590 was a great find. Wish I was there 10 minutes before ya. Nothing wrong with a used good gun.
Happy sunday mr hick.
Wow, this is my first time fully watching one of the Sunday shoot arouds… and I realized I have a lot of catching up to do. May god bless you and your family.
Thank you for your knowledge, I appreciate you
As we all get older the body does react differently to that kind of stuff I've noticed that myself 64 years old now some things are so hard I just start laughing thanks for the video heavy bullets I just picked up a 45-70 today I'm going to order some 435 grain lead bullets just puts a smile on your face when you make bullets that big
Gettysburg does a reenactment every summer. 2023 will be the 160th and should be a big one. The only thing better than watching a reenactment live is participating in one.
The Interarms Virginian Dragoon is a nice single action revolver. Most often in 44 magnum but 357 magnum and 45 colt are/ were available.
I had one of those way back in the early 1980's.
@@hickok45 There are several nice ones on-line right now. Be a nice comparison video with the Ruger or Colt.
@@hickok45 I suspect it was Blue and color case hardened in color. I guess the 8-3/8" or 7.5" barrel in 44 Magnum. It was probably not as gong worthy as your S&W Model 29-2 when using your handloads. The Virginian Dragoon pistols seem to be picky about the bullets they like.
Hey Greg......Your mention of your Keto-like diet brought to my mind my own diagnosis of type 2 diabetes many years ago. At the point where I was diagnosed,
I had lost 37 pounds and felt like the disappearing man...I could never stay warm enough and had to use a cushion to sit on hard surfaces. I was convinced that I would never gain that weight back again. I was subsequently seen by a dietician who put me on a diet of high protein, some amount of fat, low carbohydrates and all the vegetables I wanted. This is actually the Adkins Diet that was so popular a number of years ago and pretty much the same as the Keto Diet of today. I went on a high-protein diet and in three to four months I gained back those 37 pounds and was starting to exceed my usual weight and had to stop the hyper-protein activity. What really amazed me was that most people were on the Adkins Diet to LOSE weight and did so quite successfully...while I was on it to GAIN weight back! I realized, after extensive thought on the matter, that if the Adkins diet results in what seems to be the proper human weight (causes you to gain when you need to but also to lose when you need to, it is very probably the proper human diet as the doctor you mentioned was quoted as saying. I'm still on the Adkins diet and have maintained my best weight for years since then. I also, using additional supplements (i.e. glucomannan, alpha-lipoic acid, vitamin D) now have control of my A-1C (blood sugar).
My "sage" advice to you? Don't view your latest changes in what you eat as a "diet"...........view it as a permanent lifestyle change as I do, and you will succeed.
Good Luck!
Pete
Yes. Dr. Ken Berry says that eating the "Proper Human Diet" will result in your getting to a proper weight for you, whatever that is. Most will lose some weight if they've been eating a lot of junk; some might gain weight in order to become more healthy.
Right on the money HC45, best wishes from mountain city, Garth
