I remember working in the studio in the same building and bumping into him. Such a nice guy. He showed be around his studio and showed me some gear. Was dope. I also mind watching england loose with him. Two scottish guys laughing at the english lot ;)
there is still something about having the equipment and being able to turn a knob instead of using a mouse and yes there is still a sound difference , but only slightly..
the workflow is slightly different with mikro, you use more button combos with mikro (you use the nav button a lot in combination with other buttons) everything you can do on the full size you can do on mikro it just takes more navigation to get there. I have both and I use mikro more because its far more portable and as both of mine are Mk1s the pads on mikro are more responsive than the full size. (both of the mk2's have the same pads the mk1 mikro has)
Nice but I love hardware and will stick with my TR909, TB303, Sequential Circuits Pro One, ARP, MOOG, and other synths and outboard effects. Much fatter sound!

I swear by the La 2A or the VC 2A in this case....
I work ITB as well, but there's still no replacement for a lot of outboard gear, really... :(
So, why hasn't he sold all his old and high-maintenance outboard gear yet if he's working ITB all the time? I guess the differences are still there...
this should've been 20-40 minutes longer
You can't take everything from an interview. I don't wanna know how much is actually cut out.
