Evil Joe Barresi engineering on this and 10,000 days is unbelievable. It was meant to be played loud. With the high quality earphones you then fully understand all the nuances and just how unreal Tool is. They never get old. All their albums stand the test of time. FI seems almost like a discography of their work and they brought it full circle by the end to show you their full maturation and mastery. When my I picked up FI when it was released I took it over to my friends who has an amazing home studio and equipment. We have both been fans since the early 90’s. He turned the volume up and just listened. By the end of the album we just looked at each other and said, “wow” they have just continued to take back the throne at the top that all bands should aspire to reach that level of mastery. Several times i was seriously getting choked up while listening it was just taking me to all these places in my head as Tool always has. Brilliant review, Cheers!
I feel the same as you about this song! But also the same about Descending, Invincible and Fear Inoculum. All true masterpieces! If I could give you 10 more 👍 for this reaction my friend, I would! Especially at the end!
I truly agree brother. That entire album is just sublime. I'm amazed that it was so well put together and well thought out. All the tracks are insanely good. For me personally, Pneuma is the closest thing to perfection I have ever experienced across all art forms. Thanks so much for the kind and encouraging words brother. Cheers from Cape Town!
I've seen them live a number of times (before this album). The greatest feeling I had for one of their songs was Triad live. Seeing that live was an experience. There was a piece added to the end that extended the song that just made the whole thing explode. It was amazing.
@@marsthemeek2505 wow dude I envy you so bad right now lol! We are quite starved for awesome international metal acts over here on South Africa. Over the last decade we have had some big names over, but unfortunately it's just not a regular thing yet. The 2 bands I NEED to see live before I die are Nine Inch Nails and Tool. I'm planning to one day travel to see this dream of mine come into fruition. I'm surprised Triad was the track that made such a huge impact on you. If you can find the link for the live version you are referring to, please send it through bud! Cheers
I uploaded a link but maybe that was against the guidelines because I do not see it. Look up the Triad Live 2002 Remastered version. Someone created it using various videos I think. Audio sounds great for being recorded live on a device.

I really like how you enjoy it, I've already listened to this album countless times and I cannot be bored with it, wonderful! Keep it going!
