You made the bosses look easy. I remember this game being so fucking difficult on the GBA. Not only some of the bosses, but the platforming in later levels is ridiculous as Mega Man.
In fact, this entire game came to be because Capcom wanted those who didn't own a Sony PlayStation or a Sega Saturn to feel left out that they couldn't experience _Mega Man 8._ So, they reused many assets from it (including two Robot Masters), and voilà, you have _Mega Man & Bass._ The ROM data even refers to it as _"Rockman 8.5."_
So it's basically a MegaMan 8 style game with MegaMan 7 sound effects, eh? Either way, I love the looks of this game, maybe I should buy it to try it out!

Because this game dropped in _1998._ By that time, the Super Nintendo has long stopped being sold in America, and the market was primarily focused on the Nintendo 64, Sony PlayStation, and -the Sega Saturn- in a year and a half, the Sega Dreamcast. It would be considered a massive loss to spend the time to translate, market, and produce a game on a system that hadn't had support in years, so it never made it over here. Also, the GBA port is *one* of the reason why the game has a bad reputation. The game is far more tailored to playing as Forte/Bass, which makes sections with Mega Man ludicrously difficult. Just look at that boss fight with the King Plane, and tell me that's a perfectly reasonable boss fight for someone who doesn't have a double jump.

Unfortunately I THINK it is impossible to do the challenge: Only Burst Megaman without Items in Jet King Robo by own talent without depending on luck. Megaman's burst simply does not cause any damage to the red charger, so there must be a rule of three: 1 take damage 2) use a special weapon 3) Use damage amplifier or shield items. Using Eddie to recover or Beat to cover counts as using special weapons. If the robot launches the laser 4+ times in the battle, it is impossible to do so by its own ability. It depends on the sheer luck of the game algorithm. If I'm wrong and there is a way to avoid that laser with Megaman, please notify me.
