Genuinely surprised how little it took to make the effective snow camo particularly on the tank - very nice technique! Orks would be a good horde to look at next, as it's lots of similar skin that will be consistent across specific klan colour choices, whereas Tyranids needs multiple videos to cover variations in colour scheme (perhaps a dark, medium and light tutorial series for them? Also they have wildly different sizes to cover)
This is great. Gives me something to think about for a SC box of Tempestus I've been unsure how to approach. I appreciate this type of video. I can appreciate the scheme more when I see how one approaches HQ/Hero and vehicles as well as the troops. As other mentioned, Tau or Tyranid would intrigue me as well.
Pete The Wargamer I would like to cast a vote for hive fleet leviathan color scheme, great work on this tutorials got me back painting been away for a few years now
I have a big appreciation for batch painting / speed painting. You can get so much done to quite a good standard & at times even higher. Loved this video 👏🏼
Joy is the word I'd use to describe what I felt upon seeing this in my subbox! Thanks Pete. Please do the Scions box at some point too, bet that'd make a tricky one. ;)
Talk about timely! I was wanting to do a winter theme Cadian army and you just showed me how. Thanks for sharing this and I will certainly watch this tutorial frequently.
I seen a couple of your videos and I like the effect you achieve with the dry brushing it gives your models a worn down look. especially on your chaos marine video , the night lord came out pretty good
Great video, the result is incredible! I was thinking... Could you maybe do the next for the T'au or Admech start collectings? I struggle with finding a way to quickly do crisis suits... And I have an entire start collecting of admech to paint
Would love to see more of Pete speed painting whole start Collectings, would be awesome to see what he'd do, he could even sell them on eBay afterwards if he doesn't want them
Damn, this looks really good. Now I'm kinda sad I've already got the green and tan stripes down on my Leman Russ so it'd be a bit of a waste to start over.
Great job there! I am just starting a Guard force as well; maybe you guys can answer me one question: Is there a "right" and a "wrong" way to assemble the tank tracks? The Chimera - and also the Rhinox - instructions put the chain links in a way so that the middle stud points towards the front of the tank. The Leman Russ instructions wants you to put the links the other way round (like in the video). Am I missing something here? Does it matter at all? Most seem to assemble their tracks like here in the video, but to me this looks like the tracks point "backwards". Thanks in advance!
@@PeteTheWargamer Y E S, bc I have been painting them Since I started the hobby 4 months ago and I have been really wanting someone to speed paint them so I can put them on the table top faster:)
I am a veteran painter and 40K player and yet I enjoyed this tutorial very much. Your calm, friendly voice makes you the Bob Ross of mini painting.
Love that scheme. I'm slotting some into my Deathwatch army and they would match perfectly. Even the bases.

One word, fantastic, good idea this new vídeos of star collecting

That was awesome! I was wondering about getting the Astra Militarum Box. Maybe do the Tyranid next hmm?
Thanks! Tyranids do lend themselves nicely to speed painting so maybe I will!

Thankyou so much for this. This is the exact paint scheme (aside from the red) i was wanting to go for but didnt know how to go about it.

Really great Speed painting with the AM start collecting not my colour but looks really good
I would love to see what you do with orks start collecting box
Danm that Leman Russ looks incredible

I'm not reading your thoughts... honest.
This colour scheme is awesome so much better than the usual
Glad you think so!

This is a great video! I've always been tempted by the guard. Still think that start collecting box is great value!
This new speed painting content is absolutely epic thank you!
I loved this tutorial and would love to see this on orks too!

So good! Would love more start collecting guides! Maybe sylvaneth next?
Lovely tutorial. Might copy this on some brood brothers at some point. I'd love to see nids next.
Nice idea! It'd be interested to see how this looked on some GSC
Because of this, I have a guard Army and its lovely :*
Love the content hope to see more later on about some Scions
Fantastic work as always sir
love this paint scheme
Can I ask what you use for your snow flocking and how you adhered it? elmers and water mix?
Very interesed how would you tackle Tau infantry miniatures with the speed painting techniques.
Thank you!
Good idea, the suits would probably work quite well with some drybrushing.
Excellent guide, thank you!

You could still add the white wash, in WW2 white wash was applied over existing camo patterns.
Great job on these.
Hello love the speed painting keep it up
Will do :D
This is an amazing concept!
Awesome theme, love the colors you went with! Though I do have a question, how did you do the facial hair shadow on the commissar?
Love it! Great job, per usual!
I wonder which colour could also work for insignias? Feels like red is too overpowering for my taste. Or maybe the shade is too reddish? 🤔
Any chance if you could do a Tau Speed Paint?
Of Farsight Enclave or Vior'la Sept?
Farsight Enclave would be interesting...
lol chaos space marines at 1:09
What Chaos Space Marine? 😉 I think you've been corrupted by the warp.
@@PeteTheWargamer the ganga must be too strong
Pete, absolutely love your video, thank you. I have stolen your paint scheme, I havehelmeted

The direction the studs point does not matter, as long as all the studs point in the same direction.
Awesome work
Hello , Tutotrial old but can I use this technique with new cadian shock troops please ?
Please do an ork speed painting tutorial.
What an awsome tutorial and it's a starter set. I want to see some Tau love ha ha 🤣👌
Any particular sept?
@@PeteTheWargamer hhmm maybe a sheme that could be slotted into any Sept rather than a particular one. Like a standard counts as scheme?
Great work!
Thanks!
Finally a good colour scheme for my guard, thanks a lot!
You're welcome :D
yes finally! those cannon fodders will serve at the front line fresh and painted!
Fresh meat for the grinder!
Can you do a skeleton warrior/ grave guard speed painting video
Can't wait for Blood Angels or Blood Ravens if you have the time.
Is the base coat doable by brush?
newer painter here. whats the shortest time you have to wait for primer to be ready to paint over?
It varies from brand to brand but about 24hrs is probably the safest bet.
Was that 3 ply or 4 ply loo roll ? 😬 I'm liking the Commisar beard
It was Tesco's finest budget kitchen roll. Fingers crossed for that sponsorship deal 😂
if you want a really dry brush try cardboard.
Thanks for this
My pleasure!
I would love to see Slaves to Darkness start collecting speed paint.
Probably the best start collecting for your money for Age of Sigmar, you get over 700pts in that set!
Pete The Wargamer. That’s why it’s awesome! I’m planning to paint my up as Tzeentch
Really enjoying these speed painting videos. Is there any age of Sigmar sets you could mow through?
Here you go: ua-cam.com/video/YZt_471J3dw/v-deo.html
I came for the tank. Stayed for the snow
Another great video 😁👍🏾
Could this be applied to an urban scheme?
Yep! I would leave the Celestra Grey and White Scar though and use Administratum Grey instead.
How do you varnish them?
I tend to use a Matt Varnish through an airbrush
Speed paint salamanders? That would be awesome
Cool scheme, there is the version not fast?
Unfortunately not :(
Oh I’m sad😔 it’s possible that will be done?
Speed paint world eaters!!!😁
Well there's a guy with an axe and weird antlers on his helmet on my desk. Are they the ones you mean?
