he looked at the front of the car to make sure there weren't any noticeable rock chips or damage....and the owner is tied to this guy and is looking out for him. sucks. once you find a good shop stay loyal.. its hard to find people that care
As a devout Socialist this guy should be happy he was able to share his car with the less fortunate.
Why would they not fire someone who's an active criminal on company property? How is he not charged with anything?
He should file a civil suit for the damages and the public records of this shop and they don't vet out employees before they commit felonies and the mechanic should have criminal charges endangering the lives of people on the road, and the owner of the company can file a similar suit against his employee for the damages done to his company from his actions.
Shop owner didn’t notice mechanic gone for hour and a half? This isn’t the first time this guy did this, just the first time he got caught!
Hope the mechanic was jailed and fired
Why Didn’t The Police Sheriff Or State Trooper Pull Him Over
What did that mechanic say to himself that gave him permission to do that? And not firing him tells him it’s okay and he’s gonna do it again
If the shop owner is an idiot not only as the car owner would I sue but the stereo needs to be repaired as well. Criminal charges should also be considered.
that’s a lawsuit
Dude drove it like a rental
One time I took my car to the dealership for service and I reviewed my dash cam footage and the technician went to Starbucks with my car. I was more mad at the fact that he didn't get me a drink
How rude of him!😆
Glad my car has a valet mode where i can limit the speed and everything!
If I was the owner I would definitely sue for the refund👏🏾 cause the guy ran 2 red lights, what if there was camera's and he could've gotten tickets or worse, also the guy basically stole his property, if anything the owner should've been begging him to take a refund to avoid the potential lawsuits👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 cause that was super reckless what if someone got hurt, or if he would've gotten pulled over, what would the shop owner say then??
Shop owner should be sued. That's a big violation! What about two red lights that he drove past! Who going to pay the tickets!
nobody because he didn’t get pulled over lol, on the super off chance that the 2 intersections had actual 24/7 surveillance cameras installed, then they’d get sent to the owners address in which he could take the shop to court and present the videos
I’m always afraid they’re gonna do this with my Prius.
😂😂
This happened to me but I didn't have a dash cam and they hadn't done the repairs yet so he destroyed my already overheating engine and then offered to replace it for me for a few grand 🤦♀️ I HATE MECHANICS
The repair shop owner is going to lose customers with that attitude.
🤡
2 months leave without pay won’t happen. The guy would be back to work in about a week.
I'M SUING! 👎☹️
"Suspended for 2 months w/o pay my ASS!"
He put that guys car in serious jeopardy and damaged the radio, all because he wanted to finally joy-ride this type of car and get some cheap adrenaline rush!
I'M SUING! 👎☹️
he was making sure the fuel gauge goes down "the right way", as a bonus he fixed his stereo once he got up to speed running a red light. Mechanic from God.
Worst part is the running 2 red lights
A friend of mine took his BMW to the dealer because it was shimmying at highway speed. A couple of days later, he went to pick up they car up and dealer's service advisor said they made no repair as they were not able to replicate the problem. My friend then asked him, how fast did your test driver drive it and the service advisor responded "highway speed; 60 to 70 mph." My friend then responded "Oh Hell! It doesn't even begin to shimmy until you break a 100 and doesn't get bad until you break a 110 or so!"
Your so called friend took it to the wrong place. Should have went to the speed shop for some proper tires.
Unless your friend is on the autobahn be might not live much longer, only njoy those speeds on roads not made for it.
No one drives at those speeds anyway..not legally.
I made a similar complaint about my BMW. They looked at me like “is she for real?” 😅
Refund? No.
Bad publicity? Yes please.
Maybe not the brightest bulb.
Just tell the shop you want $1000 for wear&tear, compensation for the inherent risk incurred from negligent reckless driving joy rides in your car (make sure to include your insurance deductible amount), breech of service contract in that a test drive does not include taking the car for a joy ride, and take them to small claims court.
This guy took test driving to another level
Bet its the owners son
That’s what happens when you watch Ferris bueller like 80 times.
That’s why I do 90% of my car repairs myself, and if it’s over my head I take to my mechanic friend who’s been a patent of my family’s dental practice for 30 years.. he does a good job lol
Honestly surprised he didn't get pulled over. That's too bad.
That mechanic is must’ve been really a Car enthusiast
Show the video to the local cops. I'm sure they'll be interested in hitting the mechanic with multiple traffic violations along with reckless driving, and vandalism.
He should've been fired or arrested for stealing a car.
Never leave your car with anyone working on it..
Uuuhhh, how is that possible? You have to leave your car with those working on it, or they cannot work on it.
@@jeffreybryan5591 I mean just don't drop it off stay until your car is fix and keep a 👁️ on it..
Seattle, Washington? ZERO chance for criminal charges.
Congratulations to the “Mechanic/Test Driver” for picking the perfect state for this type of conduct 👍🏻
Mechanic was just testing out his own work… making sure everything is in working order …
Except for the radio...
He wrecked the engines life and destroyed many other things
Absolute savage 😂❤
Just like Seinfeld got to go till the gas runs out. How far can u go😂😂😂
I just had my brakes done on my 2019 Mercedes, my car came back with my dash cam unplugged and averaged gas being 11 mpg. Normally it's 26-33 mpg lol.
I laughed a little and went about my day. Part of doing your brakes includes using them hard immediately to set them in right or whatever, so I assumed it was just that.
That's not a repair process for brakes at all. All the mechanics should have done for you was pump the brakes. Otherwise first time you'd push the brakes it'll feel like nothing's there.
@@byever1 "Engage hard braking at 60mph
4. After the moderate stops, perform a few hard stops from 60mph to 10mph (5 times). Apply firm pressure on the brakes without locking up the brakes or engaging the ABS (if applicable)."

The "dash cam unplugged" part sounds HIGHLY suss. What was that all about then?? If they had nothing to hide and weren't doing anything wrong??
@@Vandicoup Mechanic took my car from the shop that’s closer to me to the shop he did the work at. I was checking my car’s location and noticed before it went to his shop it went to (possibly) his home. Maybe he just didn’t want to dox his own garage or something 🤷🏻♂️
But bro was definitely moving in my car.
1:24 Durango driver gave him the finger
No refund. 😂
Blasted the radio and passed 2 red-light before going speeding. Those red lights citations ouch..how much ....its gonna be sent to your mail.
Entitled BMW owner wants something for free lol
