  • "How do lesbians have sex?" Queer women get lots of questions and it's a lot of the same ones over and over, so here we shed some light on some of the biggest "mysteries":
    - Do lesbians really "scissor"?
    - Who is the man in the relationship?
    - If you don't like *male genitalia*, why do you use dildos?
    - Is it easier being with a woman?
    - Are you into me?
    - How do you protect yourself from STDs?
    - How do you know who is queer?
    - Do you share clothes?
    - Do you want to have a threesome?
    - How will you have kids?
    By "lesbians" we mean women who are into women, bisexuals included, and these are just OUR answers - other queer girls might feel very differently!
    What are your takes on these?
    Which questions do you get all the time?
    Which stereotypes are you annoyed with?
    And do you have any more questions you've been wondering about?
    Let us know in the comments!
    We hope we were able to give some insights, thank you for watching and make sure to subscribe if you haven't yet.
    Lots of Love,
    Alexis and Lilian

    I've never heard anyone in my lesbian community raise the issue of the risk of mouth and throat cancers from the HPV virus from oral sex. I know a couple of non smoking lesbians who contracted their cancer from HPV. Why is no one in our community talking about this?

    Dental dams should be normalized and protected sex should be normal! I know sex ed is awful pretty much anywhere so people assume that there is no risk with oral sex or fingering for either partner. Thats not true. I would urge EVERYONE to be informed about sti! There are risks. Especially with partners you don't know, please use protection. Ok? Cool.

      Even as a bi-male, I find dental dams fun with partners to play with. The flavors are nice (I favour vanilla, heh!), and if you have any old latex gear, you can mix those in while storing the gear (my masks and suits smell lovely because of those vanilla dental dams, or »Lecktücher« - licking sheets? -, as they are called in German). Oh, and it helps if you have a latex fetish like I happen to have. (-;
      Give it a whirl, have fun, be safe!

      Another tip for added pleasure is using a bit of lube underneath the dam onto the genitals! The added wetness is loads of fun!

      @Reb Kro - I know this comment is old, but since you seem knowledgeable... I have a latex allergy and a dental dam would be a recipe for disaster and the consequent swelling could impede my breathing. When I had sex with men I had to use latex-free condoms, which were pretty easy to find. Do they make latex-free dental dams? And where would they be sold? Thx 😊

    New subbie here! I love you! I am straight but my mothers in law are not and I have several friends that are gay. This was very informational and some of the questions I was completely thrown off by that anybody would ask you that. I’m sorry you have to go through that. Straight couples don’t ever have to go through some of those questions. I’m not sure why people are so comfortable asking those kinds of questions. I can’t wait to see more of your videos!

    I think scissoring is great and enjoyable. I find it very uncomplicated with one person lying down and one person sitting on top. I don't know why a lot of people find it difficult to do?
    Tribbing in general gets mentioned too little. For example rubbing on the other person's leg or missionary style . . . but what do I know. I've only slept with one woman so far and haven't even had a long-term relationship.

    there are just about two or three things to add for your information and awareness. Even though both you are in your 20's, and myself being old enough to be your Auntie lol bahahha lol! By the way, first thing about straight women noticing two females together, might see them as a 'threat'. I don't connect with the 'threat' thing coming from some lesbians/gays. I feel the right owrd would be 'fear', being 'afraid' is more of a proper word for straight people when around gays/lesbians. Explaining this, I see this differently from my own personal perspective and experience. For example, I have a best friend who regards me as her soul mate. She's been happily married for 25 years with 3 adult kids. However, inspite of our very close friendship, I have always guarded myself well from her falling for me, coz she was in a lesbian relationship with a girl in high school many years ago. Ours would be described as a romantic (non-sexual) friendship which is very much accepted and approved in our culture. Years ago, when I was around Lilian's age, I was offered to house sit her home whilst she lived interstate with her husband. She got homesick and moved back home. She begged me to continue living with her and her husband and their young family. I declined because I begin to notice some sub-conscious hints coming from her and so I moved out as I didn't feel comfortable living with married couple nor her husband finding out about her past (he's hexto). If I saw two women into each other in front of me, I wouldn't see it as a threat or get jealous, but I would become 'afraid' least the other lesbian/bi woman fell heels over me when I ain't into her. I like to think the word 'fear' is a more appropriate word for straight women rather than 'threat', as they neither want it to ruin their friendship with their female friend or best friend, or their friend's marriage being ruined.... this is a healthy kind of fear, of being afraid, not knowing what to do or how to deal with this kind of scenario..... and secondly, I do happen to have gaydar. I could sense whether the person is gay or bi etc..... without saying anything and just being myself. My best friend (the married one) does show a few subtle hints of being bi.....even without her being aware or noticing anything. For example, I notice the way she walks from where I stand behind her..... but she has been like this for years and I am so used to it that I don't make any bias or judgments about it. We just so love each other very much as best friends, soul mates and yes we do cuddle, hold hands etc..... and haven't had anyone question us...... maybe her being married was a big help in avoiding any confusion in our culture. Hope this helps?

      Hi Phaedra, thank you! I have met several amazing lesbian trans women in my life who all had loving partners. It’s easier in bigger cities with a good LGBT community, because people there just understand gender identities etc better, but at the end of the day love is about the person you are, not the body you have or gender you are, and you will find someone who will love you exactly for who you are! Sending love! ❤️ - L

    With the legal status changed in most of Europe and in North America, do you now feel legitimated? In other words, does commitment to each other take on a new level because you have the right to enter a formal legal wedded union? Does same-sex marriage give you a feeling of validation of your attraction for women and the public face of your relationship? Is there pressure to marry a girlfriend, when before it didn't really ever come up?

    What do you think of trans lesbians, or people who are somewhere in the gender nonbinary? Over past years on Second Life, I'm starting to think all the more definitely something that I've wondered since my early teens. That I may in some way be a lesbian who just got used to being in a male body. I've experienced some chemistry and flirting with female friends who I didn't know could possibly be go for my gender (whatever it may be).

    • @SleighJessi
      @SleighJessi 6 років тому

      I wouldn’t think that an nb person could be a lesbian since lesbians are two women who are attracted to each other, and nb people don’t consider themselves to be women.

    • @kencoleman5007
      @kencoleman5007 6 років тому

      Is gender identity normally that absolute? I've seen different types of gender (emotional, behavioral, anatomical, libido, how one presents their self, etc.) as a series of spectrums between the extremes of femininity and masculinity.
      Even in the 80's (born in '84), I tended to identify more with females (as much as I looked up to Ray and Egon from the Ghostbusters, I LOVED Little Mermaid to the extent where sometimes I even pretended to be a mermaid). In the 90's not only did my feminine side get stronger, but also my attraction to women. I was more into the arts than sports, defined gender roles in my watching shoujo. A bunch of my crushes (I often went for the strong but gentle, sensual, affectionate, and warm women) ended up coming out. Like Maria Bello, Cat Cora, Sailor Neptune, or (her Xena character did) Victoria Pratt. The music that I listened to (especially in middle school and high school was mostly a Lilith Fair of female singer songwriters with some males here and there. Some classic rock. Between my parents being very detached when teaching about puberty, I wondered if my experiences were more relatable to females that I identified more with socially.
      In college, I read more about gender identity and chromosomal anomalies. There were these times when stomach cramps (which I often got intensely since my early teens) were joined with pains in my groin, and migraines that got so bad that my vision dimmed to almost nothingness for up to 20 minutes at a time. It felt like what Emma Frost was experienced in her origin comic series. Even after an EKG test came back negative, I thought that either I was developing telepathy or something was irregular inside me. As I learned more about my being an Aspie, I found that my "cuspie-ness" was more often relatable to Liane Holiday Willey's Aspie memoir than John Elder Robison's. Through getting an emergency appendectomy done, and one of two inguinal hernias repaired (the cramps and migraines were part of my small intestine going far past where it was supposed to be, and to point where it was nearly fatal).
      Despite my always being somewhat detached from my masculinity, it was Second Life that blew my mind. I was able to freely move between using male and female avatars both based on my own body. With any relationship on there, I was always up front about who I am in the tangible world, but spent an increasing amount of time as a lesbian there, vicariously experiencing the sensuality through my avi). An Aussie I've been with there for a while turned me on to Anais Nin's writing, and thinks that I may be a trans who's just not as gender dysmorphic. Possibly that I have an unusually high amount of estrogen in my body (something that I'm going to have checked).
      While I empathize with people who've gone through name changes, gender changes, surgeries, etc., I've gotten used to even my more awkward of parts, but sexually, the kind of sweet. sensual, affectionate, gentle chemistry that I want to have with someone in the physical world (I'm a sappy romantic with a strong feminine side) is something that I see more often in lesbian couples than hetero or gay ones.

    • @SleighJessi
      @SleighJessi 6 років тому

      Ken Coleman Why is it so important to you to be called or considered a lesbian? That’s an honest question. I’m a lesbian, and it’s just what I am. I am a woman who dates other women. I’m not particularly attached to the label, I’m more into going about my normal life loving my girlfriend, working, etc.

    • @kencoleman5007
      @kencoleman5007 6 років тому

      It's not so much the label for me either. And there are lesbians who I relate less to. For me (single for now), it's about trying to find a way to articulate (verbal communication is one of the most common ways of expressing oneself) my own personal identity, and a... connection of sorts that I hope to some day find with a significant other. I feel deep down that thoughts, and concepts, and identities are rare defined in perfect accuracy in any of many languages. But to have pride in who you are, whatever you are, and not just hiding yourself a way, it takes the ability (or at least attempts to try) expressing to others how you feel that you identify.
      I'm not going to pretend that I'm as female as seemingly over half the population, but when I see how cute a couple Lilian and Alexis are. Or Lauren and Lisa (This Colorful Wold). Or passion in movies like Elena Undone, I hope that I can find such happiness with a significant other of my own some day. I recently saw a music video of this amazing duet between Nena and Kim Wilde where their chemistry and heat projected in their performances seems more homoerotic than even Batman and Robin had been accused of. In the comment section, some people wanted to contort that sensual fire into a 3-way, but me.. Intuitively paraphrasing a Sophie B. Hawkins lyric, I was thinking "Damn, I wish I were her lover."
      In terms of sexual identity, I considered for a while that I may be bisexual, but while I find all genders potentially attractive, I cannot imagine myself being with a guy (even the nicest ones that I've met), but on the flipside, my warmth, tenderness, and mild androgyny tends to attract very few women. I think that a deal breaker in an OKCupid correspondence was my wanting to give a woman I was talking with for months a warm hug as we were talking out a death in her extended family that just happens. There's a point where it just seems dishonest to more masculine than I feel comfortable being just for attraction to become more mutual.

    I've read articles about that in the future it might be possible to take one part of each persons egg and bring them together so that both persons DNA will be involved. I wonder how long that process has come? A woman is working on that like ten tears ago or more.

      That's one egg and the DNA of another or a stem cell. There's been some success in non-humans (I think it was mice) but not got to human trials yet.
      Tho a lab established by the Raelian religion did claim they had done it with humans years ago

      Magda // As far as I understood they personally definitely don't want that, and find the question pretty offensive, but don't judge lesbian couples on the other hand, which are in to that.
      Though they assume, rightly so, that this group will be very small certainly.

    I agree that dental dems and protected lesbian sex should be normalized. But I'm a bit demisexual and so will probably never sleep with a woman before I know her very well. I don't think, I'll ever use it.

    There is research being done on fertilizing an egg with DNA from another female and there has been some success which I think was with mice. Probably be decades til it's available for humans tho

    Interesting what you said to question "who is the man in the relationship". I know 3 gay and 2 lesbian couples. And in all these relationships there was a clear guy/girl division. But more distinctive to the gay couples.
    I saw the video "our first time" few minutes ago and at the story "first sex" Lilian asked "how was it". I heared this is a typical male question^^

    Dental dams 😂 I’ve never known anyone that uses them. What I hear often is why are you a lesbian? A man must have broke your heart or you had a bad experience right? I don’t get offended rather I like to discuss everything in detail and see their reaction. I tell them I have more O’s in 1 night then they would in a week 💋 we are always going to hear stupid remarks from people I just roll with it not a big deal

    By watching your video most of my questions were answered but I have another question. Eventhough the Bible and the Lord is against people such as yourself how do you go about dealing with that? Don't you both consider your souls and how much you are going on hurting and disobeying God?
