I think as a whole this is the most consistent mission and the best representation of what mission is supposed to be...it brings it back to be a team effort....not to mention, Fluidly paced, stylish, gripping set pieces, and always entertaining.
A lot of people have Rogue Native as their favourite MI film but personally GP is the movie that made me love this entire franchise and forced me to go back and watch the other 3(and later RN). That burj Khalifa scene In a way terrified me in theatres because I’m deathly afraid of heights and yet I still wanted to see more, such an excellent sequence in such an under appreciated film. Can’t wait for Fallout, apparently it is getting ‘90s’ on rotten tomatoes.
Literally just watched this last night! It's so good! Thank the allmighty Brad Bird for really bringing this franchise to its new heights, of course JJ brought it back, but Brad took it to the next level! Thanks Christopher for keeping the trend going!
I love this movie! Favorite MI movie. The sequences are cool. Not just the Dubai one, but the jailbreak, the Kremlin, the final scene in the car parking, and I don’t care how cheesy this is, but I love when he says “Mission Accomplished”. The whole Dubai section, not just Burj Kalifa scene, but the sandstorm chase and the fake people when they pretend to be different people to get the nuclear codes. The story is good to. Jeremy Renner’s character was cool and his backstory was interesting. The action is so cool. I love every minute of it. I like how they set up Rogue Nation. This has the best spy movie material ever. Brad Bird is one of my favorite directors. No joke, this is literally one of my favorite movies ever.
As always, your reviews are just on point Sean. I seriously can’t believe how consistently thorough you are and how your opinions are so easy to connect with. It’s kinda crazy dude..by far the best reviewer on UA-cam. Btw, IMF was blamed when Hendricks blew up the Kremlin which caused the organization and Hunt’s team to be disavowed. So they were operating in the dark to prevent Hendricks and Winstrom from launching a nuke. Hendricks was a chaos theory professor I believe like Ian Malcolm, only radicalized. So Hunt’s team was just trying to prevent him from launching a nuke. This does lead to my problem with the film. Like yours, the villain wasn’t compelling to me at all, especially after Philip Seymour Hoffman’s performance. Second, how are Hendricks and Winstrom able to get as far as they did with a team of just two. Seems implausible. But other than that, SUPER entertaining film.
Simon Pegg doesn’t get enough credit as an actor. He’s able to really add comic relief without ruining the tension, but he’s also good in the dramatic kind of scenes, which a lot of actors like him aren’t very good at.
This movie was so badass! The skyscraper scene was so edge of your seat thrilling! I remember my pulse racing. I was 18 at the time, and it still is my favorite film I’ve ever seen in imax. And it’s not even close!
This one is definitely my favorite and the most memorable in the franchise. What I loved was the the direction, Michael Giacchinos score, and the Burj Khalifa scene. My only complaint is that I wish there were more fireball explosions. But other than that, I regret not watching this in the theater when I was 14 years old.
Today is Day 4 of my Mission Impossible marathon, and today I watched MI4 Ghost Protocol: I’m just gonna cut to the chase, this is my new favorite spy/action movie, everything was so well done, the characters, the story, the action, and the tension, when it comes to the characters, Jeremy Renner’s became one of my favorites, Simon Pegg’s delivered some great laughs, the villains aren’t as memorable Phillip Seymour Hoffman but I still think they work well in the story, now onto the story, I actually understood what was going on, while they were after some documents about a Russian nuclear bomb, a terrorist attacks Russia, gets the documents and threw Ethan and his team under the bus, so they’re after the terrorist and the documents to prove their innocence and save their city from being vaporized, all of that works for me and it’s very interesting, at times I got a little lost with the prisoner plot-line, didn’t really understand what that was about, but it doesn’t hold that against the movie at all, now onto the action, *WOW* that Dubai sequence can not be avoided talking about, every single time Ethan seems home free something goes wrong, the sandstorm sequence was very exciting, every sequence, even the car tower scene was awesome, now with the tension, I just thought they nailed it with that Russia sequence where it was just excellence with simplicity, and the way how they handled deactivation of the bomb, I literally started shaking because it was so close, so everything about this movie is phenomenal, I safely think it’s the best of the Mission Impossible movies so far 9.5/10
The movies have been getting better and better but now since i finished all of them while still waiting for mission impossible Fallout, Ghost Protocol has been my fav. Movie of this franchise
It took a couple views but about the third watch I decided to mainly focus on the story because you’re right how the scope of the scenes kind of out shadow the story a bit but I was able to see the story. It’s a good plot but it’s no where near as insane and compelling as 3 was but still good plot. Villain is kind of lacking
I find it interesting how you find the plot for this movie to be confusing. Following Ethan Hunt and his small team of framed agents not only clearing their names, but their country and disavowed agency as well. For me, the first movie has a pretty confusing plot compared to the plot for this movie as this is easier to follow and clearer than the first movie.
Why are you not big? Your reviews are great, some of the best on UA-cam. You should have as many subscribers as the likes of Jeremy Jahns and Chris Struckman, if not more.
In the story, the villain dude is trying to nuke a city, and they need to take the nuclear launch codes so he can’t launch it, and the bad guy is also trying to get the codes, so then they have to destroy the codes...........I think
Sean Chandler Talks About 2 see who gets the most screen time btw infinity war was actually 30 mind long than they showed us the 30 mins are thanos origins.
That seems like something better suited for another channel. Creating that content sounds pretty tedious to me and not something inwould enjoy. I’m usually more interested in exchanging ideas
I'm rewatching this right now and I'm confused. Hendricks stole the launch codes at the Kremlin and then bought them with the diamonds at the Burj Khalifa... that doesn't make any sense? Why would he buy something he already has?
Axel Fra Strange is the one that saw everything and the saw one way that they can win. Considering he is the master of the mistic arts he is much more powerful than thor.
I actually didn't love this. While the Russia and Dubai sequences are fun, the movie as a whole pushes my suspension of disbelief a bit too much with Hendrick surviving that car crash, the Russian guy chasing Ethan just showing up in Dubai, the magnet shirt and just how close they came to failing at the end. They really succeeded by luck. The humor was also a bit too goofy for me and the third act dragged quite a bit. Honestly, I didn't super feel the urgency as the movie went on and the villain is the worst one in the franchise. Overall, the pulse pounding pace and stress that I feel like MI3 and Fallout wasn't quite there and I really found the auditions of Paula Patton and Jeremy Renner to be really boring. Also only one scene of Luther left the movie lacking
Cant say this movie was better than the first one or the third one...sorry Well made...but some of the stuf and tricks and action is way over the top and most of the time ilogic...bit cartoonish...i think this one is under MI3 and MI1 but way better than MI2
I’m sorry to putting this comment to the wrong video but I needed to say this. I have been feeling that Thanos is not as good villain as we think. The thing that bothers me the most is that his motive isn’t as villainous as we think, he wants to save the world! And at the ending of IW they made him even less villainous whit that Gamora thing. His motive is to save the world, not super evil!? So as I have been thinking even Steppenwolf is a better villain for me, he wants to destroy the world! And yeah, his execution of the universe salvation is a bit villainous but still, he saves the universe. That’s why I don’t even see a reason to a super battle! Sorry for putting this comment to this video but I needed to say this.
That’s what makes him a great villain. He’s a true believer that his plan isn’t evil. He’s the hero of his own story. But to everyone else he’s a psycho. Those ARE the beet villains for that reason
A villain doesn’t necessarily mean a bad guy, it can mean a character with ideologies that possibly oppose our protagonist(s). A character that kills a lot and wants to destroy the galaxy with little/unjustifiable motives can be a villain, just not a good one.
Yes it is. He desires to kill half of the universe without them agreeing to dying. He’s committing evil against half the universe for what he believes is the greater good. He doesn’t have the right to decide that for them.

Another great video from *The King Of UA-cam!* Thank you Sean!
This is my favourite mission impossible movie I would give this one a A and a 9/10
Great video 😎

After rewatching this movie, I’m beginning to realise that ranking the brad bird movies is harder than I thought...
IKR... Incredibles, incredibles 2, ratatouille, Mission impossible, Etc... So many great ones
Literally just watched this last night! It's so good! Thank the allmighty Brad Bird for really bringing this franchise to its new heights, of course JJ brought it back, but Brad took it to the next level! Thanks Christopher for keeping the trend going!
Based on this movie Bird was my pick for episode 7
Sean Chandler Talks About I thought he was in talks to direct one of them? Or am I confusing that with Josh Trank?
Pretty sure he was. But a lot of people were in those talks. My understanding is he actively passed to do Tomorrowland instead
Sean Chandler Talks About whoops decision there, apparently Incredibles 2 is his way of getting back in Disney’s good books.
Any likes for Mission Impossible Fallout?
My favourite M:I film tied there with Rogue Nation
Great review, I liked the last 2 MI movies so Fallout should be good
dvitoc I hear it might me better than the last two.
Hit like if you think that mi 6 can gross more than $700 M.
This was the first M:I movie i wacthed, so for me it is very nostalgic. I really, really love this movie. Amazing review, Sean!
Sean I heard that Fallout takes the action scenes up to another level from the last one Rogue Nation.

“next time i get to seduce the rich guy” best line

Anybody else’s heart drop multiple times during that Dubai tower sequence?
The movies have been getting better and better but now since i finished all of them while still waiting for mission impossible Fallout, Ghost Protocol has been my fav. Movie of this franchise
I was distracted by that gorgeous background in your video
I’m pretty happy with it myself. Built that wall behind me just a couple of months ago
Fallout and ghost protocol are one of the best action movies ever
Also Sean can we get a tag review, I personally thought it was the funniest movie all year.
I really like your videos and I hope that you can see this comment
This comment has been seen and hearted!
Sean Chandler Talks About Thx

In my opinion this one is the best installment in the franchise
Can you rank and review all the Daniel Craig bond movies sometime in the future
WISH GRANTED!!! I ranked them about a year ago!
Sean Chandler Talks About awesome I’m going to watch those immediately
I don't remember a lot from this film but I would give it 7.5/10
I agree with you on the story problem!
I find it interesting how you find the plot for this movie to be confusing. Thanks! They started like 6 or 7 years before I did. So they have a nice head start
Sean Chandler Talks About I guess so. But still right now, the quality of your content, deserves way more recognition.
My personal favourite of the franchise.
Same with me. I don't quite understand the story of this movie or Rouge Nation. Love the movie though.
In the story, the villain dude is trying to nuke a city, and they need to take the nuclear launch codes so he can’t launch it, and the bad guy is also trying to get the codes, so then they have to destroy the codes...........I think
That’s straightforward enough....then there’s the other extensive plot threads.
Really good Mission Impossible film I will give it a 8/10
My favorite out of the 6 movies
Sean u gotta see this Uncharted fan made film on UA-cam starring Nathan Fillion
Favourite mission impossible movie
I totally agree with you.
Sean will I be lost if I start this franchise with the upcoming movie
This is my favorite mission impossible movie
Awesome review Sean I personally don’t care for the Mission Impossible Franchise LOL!
Why?
Sean Chandler Talks About To me it’s a cliched Action Franchise that’s attempting to be James Bond LOL!
Harry Thomas Pictures ha ironic how bond is now the cliched action franchise while mission impossible was reinventing itself since the first film
Harry Thomas Pictures You are probalbly drunk. "LOL!"
Which do you prefer? Arrow or the flash? ‘Cause I prefer arrow but the flash is great as well
My favourite MI movie!
Ghost Protocol is the best one.
Do a video showing all the screen time of all the characters in infinity war pls Sean and as always love your reviews
Why would I do that? What is the appeal?
Sean Chandler Talks About 2 see who gets the most screen time btw infinity war was actually 30 mind long than they showed us the 30 mins are thanos origins.
That seems like something better suited for another channel. Creating that content sounds pretty tedious to me and not something inwould enjoy.
I’m usually more interested in exchanging ideas
Sean Chandler Talks About and at exchanging ideas you sir are amazing

I don't know if you've watched it but you should rank the seasons of Supernatural so far
you should rank your favourite tv shows produced by michale shure
Rank the MCU characters by power
Angel S.
1 Dr. Strange
2 Thor
3 Wanda
4 Vision
5 Hulk
This is not counting Cpt. Marvel because she hasnt been revealed jet.
Robert Ninčević Thor is much more powerful than Doctor Strange, he almost killed Thanos in Infinity War, Strange was not even close
Axel Fra Strange is the one that saw everything and the saw one way that they can win. Considering he is the master of the mistic arts he is much more powerful than thor.
Hes a god u doll creature
Axel Fra So is loki and look what hapened to him in infinity war.
You should do a video ranking Kevin Smiths movies
Nice review you should review game of thrones or agents of shield for your next video 👍
Haven’t seen them
they are very good shows I recommend it to everyone haha

Idk, I just thought Rogue Nation was a little bit better, except for the Burj Khalifa.
Hey I love your videos and I was wondering if you could rank all the Friday the 13th movies if not that's totally fine there are a lot
Thanks!
Coming in October. Movies are already purchased!
The best MI movie!
Do all seasons of it's always sunny in philadelphia ranked worst to best even though there are no bad seasons of it's always sunny in philadelphia
Story was simple enough should have criticised only the villian
Were you just looking for me to state your opinion?
I love your channel do more videos 100 videos a day
I suspect the quality would drop if I were to do that!
Rank the season of F.R.I.E.N.D.S
I like Rouge more
You are my idol.
Cant say this movie was better than the first one or the third one...sorry
Well made...but some of the stuf and tricks and action is way over the top and most of the time ilogic...bit cartoonish...i think this one is under MI3 and MI1 but way better than MI2
I didn’t like ghost protocol a lot
Ultimate movie..love u mi from india
