- Funky fresh debug footage of Rhythm Tengoku (Rhythm Heaven Silver). Long video but it's worth a watch.
If you want to know more about Rhythm Tengoku's debug menu, how to access it, along with a written list of everything in the video, go here:

can we take a moment to acknowledge how CRACKED this guy is at sick beats endless
If youre playing on emulator you can press multiple directions at once and nothing in the game code prevents it. Once you realize that (and that its basically the same pattern repeating forever) its not that hard. Maybe im just a beast, im not sure.
My guess as to why many of the options crash is because it's trying to bring up the normal rhythm game results screen on "states" which aren't supposed to have that screen, and as such the game most of the time gets confused because there's no text to bring up, and while the game is able to handle missing title text, the game freaks out if there's no main result text.
Again, this is only a guess; there could be more going on than that.
11:35 xD that's so dark yet so funny
Fun Fact: It says RIQ because the game was originally supposed to be called rhythm iq there is another easter egg in rhythm heaven fever at the end of ringside out of the place its says at the right bottom corner "You're watchin KRIQ" Which stands for K(Somthing) Rhythm IQ. Another on in the PAL Ver os Rhythm Heaven Fever It says " You're watching RIQ-TV.
The K doesn’t stand for anything, it’s a reference to the first letter used in american radio and tv stations west of the mississippi river
@oreo10102 OK thanks I didn't know what it meant broski
Quick note:
19:07 is incorrect; it's not an unused intro for the game. It plays in the Attract Mode for the arcade version of the game. Sorry about that!
This is used in the original GBA game, I believe. You have to wait at the title screen for a bit, and this plays
If you wait on the title screen long enough this appears
then its probably an unused variant
@@Untitled9528 Oh no its not an unused variant
This is also used in the Kiosk Demo vesion of the game
3:04 I never felt so connected to somebody's opinion
Facts.
I ❤ mr upbeat
I love how you actually bothered to play through most of the minigames, endless games, toys and lessons instead of just skipping the ones you assumed wouldn't have anything different about them. And only not doing so when you were absolutely sure. That's some serious dedication for just an overview video, and I hope you had fun DOING IT ALL OVER AGAIN (/ref /quote) even if there was no unused content in a lot of it
Also that alternate Remix 1 with Tap Trial just reminds me of whenever I play the vanilla one, and part of me says "Turn right!" At the time it appears in the Remix 7 reprise segment lmao
Thank you so much! It took quite a bit of work to put together, and even after all that I was STILL wondering if I shouldve made a version without the commentary! Very happy that its still useful!
19:07 for me that played when I waited on the title screen for too long
Yeah, I made an error in editing. I think I mentioned it in a pinned comment. Sorry for the confusion!
Este es el mejor análisis que he visto del menú debug. ¡Gracias!
¡De nada!
Ala, que no eran GREENgos?
2:54 guys i think they like mr upbeat just a guess
What makes you say that???
@@chkris6889 just a wild guess, might be wrong tho idk

the second cafe screen could probably be like a "hey this is the next game that you can get a perfect on" thing like in ds
19:18 it’s not a unused intro it happens when you stay on the title screen long enough
26:37 I think that applies to Remix 1 as a whole too.
Also, who doesn't love Mr Upbeat.
How funny that the GBA crashing noise also makes a rhythm in a way
(Accidentally deleted my last comment about it by the way, sorry, Safari UA-cam is buggy with comments but it's worth it for using mobile adblockers)
your editing is actually hilarious
Thanks i try
its actually really good, you should make more videos about rhythm heaven, i mean you saw how many views this one got@@chkris6889
the "weird spot for tram and pauline" is probably just there because these are listed in somewhat of an alphabetical order I think
It has a surprisingly musical crash sound
This is all very facinating
well, why does it crash when it gets to that screen
Unless I figure out how to look at the game's code or find the correct RAM addresses to look at, I don't know for sure. My best guess at the moment is that the game is trying to call on either 1) an old version of the Ratings screen that no longer exists, or 2) text for the Ratings screen that never existed. The game most likely just doesn't know what to put on screen, and crashes as a result.
@@chkris6889 i think that when the game is trying to load the messages that appear after you finish a rhythm game, it could be pointing to a part of memory that shouldn't be attempted to be read and displayed, for example instead of reading text data, it could be reading some instructions or something and that shouldn't be executed or handled as text. The game probably tries to display some random stuff that *isn't* text so it just crashes.
It could be possible that it can actually read a "message" from rom, but when it tries to display it it leads to a character that is outside the character map and trying to display that character results in a crash. That's my guess anyway.
It could also be possible that the area it's supposed to read from is blank and the game doesn't know what to do with *nothing*
@@zUltraXO Thats what I was thinking too. Thanks for the input, I appreciate it!
@@chkris6889 I was thinking that it could also not know how to access the debug menu from the Restart/Return to menu screen, and the reasoning for trying to access the debug menu is because the game was launched from that menu and not museum/game select
Another weird thing is it seems to be loading a graphic from the intro of space dance…? I’m not sure.
1:43 Why did you put 4 instead of 3?
I'm bad at counting.
@@chkris6889 Just like Gus the Mouse Head (Oliver the Mouse Head is the opposite of him)

when that unused results screen actually works, i saw what appears to be OK but isn't the same OK used regularly? does that still translate to OK or is it something else (I haven't played JP rhythm tengoku, only rhythm heaven silver)

11:35 💀
cool
What the text on the crash screens say?
"Norikan Check", I believe "Norikan" means either "rhythm" or "flow", I can't remember off the top of my head. It's not meant to be a crash screen, but rather it's an artifact of the Ratings screen in the final game.
Thank you!

what's a good hex editor to get this working?
Any will work. I recall just uploading the ROM straight to hexed.it and patching it there.
How to I access it
Go to tcrf.net/Rhythm_Tengoku_(Game_Boy_Advance)/Debug_Menu for instructions.
Why did it have to be jp?
its the only language this game was made in
in the gba version, rhythm tengoku was exclusive to japan, being rhythm tengoku's only language
@@UA-cam.Guest.Account I already knew that but thanks!
