Tom Friedman, I pose this question because of your broad view of social/economic/political dynamics. What counterfactual decisions might have prevented the strife that prevails throughout the middle east? Perhaps establishment of a purely secular Palestine shared by Jews and Arabs instead of a Jewish Israel? Perhaps an Israel that doesn’t favor Jews over Arabs and which rewards miscegenation?

It would be great news if the Saudis step in. Friedman talks like what he is, a democratic, liberal, western individual who thinks that in that part of the world, with that population, and under the historic and current conditions a democratic and self governed Palestinian state is possible. Non sense.
I have not seen any condemnation from Muslims for the acts that Hummus committed against women and girls, minors. Nor have I seen any condemnation from their Plastilin supporters, who actually call themselves Hummus, and for whom Hummus is carrying out their work. They themselves write this in the comments on millions of videos.
