Wow, only 23 comments .... It's quite a shame that this masterpiece has not gotten more attention. I have been absolutely moved by this song. Your rendition of it brings me to tears. I can feel the sadness of the story in your voice. I came upon this song upon the realization of my lineage to Margaret Ogilvy whom I must assume lived in the house. She died only 31 years before this house was burned.
Just a story
Bought one of your albums in a store in Dublin "blindly" when I visited Ireland - the very first and only country I was instantly in love with. And so is your music. I listen to it and I am back in 2019 when I drove across the country with my mother to listen to traditional irish music. Hope I will be back once... Thank you so much for your music.

Actually got to see her sing in a little bar one night in Dingle Ireland while on vacation was absolutely amazing. She has a beautiful voice.

Saw you all at a number of concerts in America, starting with the CoolDog concert in 2015 in Delaware with Paul & Trini, then a few concerts in Pennsylvania including one the day after I returned from Ireland. Wish you all would perform at The Maryland Irish Festival in Timonium in November of any future year.
Amazing voice and music
I just saw these folks perform in Tucson. Such a talented group! This was the best Celtic group I've seen/heard in many years, hands down! Not only are they amazing musicians, but their enthusiasm and friendly, engaging style make for a brilliant and unforgettable connection with the audience.

Having seen them in person several times in Rochester, I will say that this video conveys a great deal of the energy and professionalism of the group as well as attending to the creativity and performance of the musicians as individuals. I look forward to being able to see them again in concert.

naugadanedhel The song is in the key of A. I'm not an expert whistle player, but my D, C whistles didn't have all the notes. Don't know if you can get whistles in the key of A? I guess you can. Hope I don't get flamed by all the expert whistle players.
naugadanedhel I'd recommend a low d whistle. The instrumentals in this tune are awesome but easy to learn. I played it on the low whistle after listening to it just a couple of times.
