I actually believe he was the perfect Bond. Granted, his films weren't always the best but that's a lot to do with writing and directing. I think he acted perfectly and did the best he could. He had the perfect level of action to suave, charisma and looks. I feel in terms of a fitting Bond, they didn't do as well with Daniel Craig at all, but the money and popularity was there with Craig and that's what made him far more successful. Pierce Brosnan will always hold a special place in my heart as Bond
Pierce Brosnan was born to be James Bond. Easily the most natural. Hands down the best in the franchise.
To me, Pierce portrayed Bond the best in GoldenEye.

That smooth, positive, calm, charming speech. Pierce Brosnan is what I always thought great Americans are like and also Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Joel Osteen, Bill Clinton, etc - I just love America because of awesome humans like these. Wish the whole world would be so awesome and as a family. I hope antichrist time is not near, because of people like these.

Him and Connery are definitely the top two, personally Goldeneye is my favorite 007 film followed by Goldfinger. But I thought Dalton kicked ass too, License to Kill is a fun movie to watch:] lotsa action.

Why todays generation getting worst and worst, demonic and disgusting??? Look at people born before 90's... all so awesome in every way: Pierce Brosnan, Jeff Goldblum, Johnny Depp, Antoni Banderas, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold, Mel Gypson, Mickey Rourke, Monica Bellucci, Akiana Kramarik, Demi Moore, Zach Galifianakis, Bradly Cooper, Robert Downey Jr., list goes on and on.
Suave will always be the number one word to describe Pierce. Such a legend.
He was my favourite Bond. He represented Bond’s cunning, brilliance, and skills very well. I like Daniel Craig, but he deviated from the Bond character and made him more of a terminator similar to Jason Statham’s movies.
Craig was in much better movies. Brosnan was unlucky, he was bond for a lot of bad movies.
Craig was in better scripts but still seems like a Bourne spy...Brosnan pulled it off even with bad scripts he looked, moved and talked like 007.

He's really matured as an actor after Bond with roles like the prime minister in The Ghost Writer and The Foreigner.
My favourite Bond after Sean Connery, and the Bond of my generation. He had one more film in him, it was sad that they cut him so unceremoniously. He was the last "true" Bond.
True bond? He was far from the original concept of james bond by fleming. He is a comic goof ball.
@@arjayfritzponcardasart I meant true in the sense of the character that was created for screen as we know him. So suave, sophisticated etc. The closest to the novels would be Timothy Dalton, but he wasn't as well received because he also went against what Bond had been introduced as with Sean Connery. Because I saw the films first, my take on Bond wasn't what the novels had intended. Brosnan was the closest to Connery.
my favorite second Bond as well. My first is Sir Roger Moore. I didn't realize they abruptly ended his reign of Bond. Would have loved another w/him, with better writing and directing.
@@MalcomB516 Most people it's a toss-up between Connery and Moore; both are good but in very different ways. I'd also have loved one more film with Brosnan. I know most people slate DAD, but I actually liked it!

One of the few interviews where Conan doesn't make enough space for the guest. I would have loved to hear more of Pierce's answers.

He clearly wanted to be like pierce when he watched his movies so the fact he's Wilding out like a ten year old is lovely.
He generally only does that when the guest doesnt have much to say. Some people, regardless of how interesting they may seem on paper, are just not very conversational. Bob Hope for instance famously was one of the worst talk show guests ever. A man who had done it all and never had a thing to say about.
@@patreekotime4578 Brosnan has great stories (on other shows), and grew up in rural Ireland which is a favourite topic for Conan. A real missed opportunity.

Saw his show back in the 80's, Remington Steele, people were stunned by how good looking and classy this actor was and still...

The GOAT Bond, no question
I met him once in Santa Monica and he was gleaming literally. Yet he was the most kind and genuine famous person I've ever met. And believe me I've met a lot, mostly OK, couple of a**holes too.
I wish I had the same experience that you had. I met him back in 2009 coming from London back to LA. We were one the same double decker airplane flight. Once we we landed to get out bags, i noticed he was there waiting and I was in shock. I was shy to approach him and didn't want to bother him, but when will i ever see Jame Bond again? So i kindly asked him, " Would you mind if I can please take a picture with you Mr. Bronson?" Bronson looked down and up at me and rudely responded, "YES, I DO MIND!" I responded, "I am sorry that I bothered you." Then I walked away.
I understand for what you say that you addressed him as Bronson, when his actual surname is Brosnan.
His accent comes through so strong here. Kind of surprising

Pierce,Sean and Roger are the 3 best ones-Roger played suave in the '60's,along with Sean.The Saint really showcased his 007 sensibilities as Simon Templer.

Pierce fits the role of Bond more than anyone else and Golden Eye was probably the best Bond movie ever made, just too bad his other Bond movies weren't as good, but it wasn't his fault.

@@rabbitracer79 Interesting, imo Casino Royale is one of my least favorite Bond movies and I think Daniel Craig is second worst Bond actor after Lazenby. However Skyfall was actually pretty good. But I'm definitely glad that he is finally done as Bond, because it's about god damn time lol.

The first time I ever too notice at what the protagonist was wearing was in Brosnan Bond films. Even today I still don't have the body or the need for a good piece of tailored suit.

Pierce is a suave gentleman, but he is no pushover - he has a quality of controlled danger which he has brought to all his roles. The integrity with which he has sustained personal relationships over time, speaks of emotional intelligence and strength of character.
I don't see conan fanboying very often, you can tell he is legit mesmerized

I think all of the actors whom played Bond did a fine job. Although, I must say I felt that Moore stayed on for a couple too many. But, he started off well. I still choose Connery as my number one, but they were all worthwhile. Imho. I wish that Lazenby and Dalton had done a few more. And, while I liked, Brosnan, he didn't get the best Bond scripts. So, a credit to his ability to even make them work, at all.
