Hi, I have a question, my brothers birthday is coming up, 50th, as such I’d like to buy him something half decent he will enjoy owning, I live in Nottinghamshire, my question is “is a £1000 budget enough to get him a MTM suit?.” Thank you for any thoughts on this.
www.desmerrion.com and www.henryherbert.com Both excellent, but I was surprised at the decisions I had to make in designing a suit whilst I had absolutely no design skills in relation to clothing.
Good video. I do disagree with your point about quality of fabric not being great in countries like India. In my opinion, it has been the opposite where garments I have purchased from the right sources in India have stood the test of time compared to what I have purchased in the west. I attribute this to the fact that these countries are still the biggest sources of fabrics like cotton, silk, wool (Cashmere is from Kashmir) and leather. So this notion that anything made in the west is automatically of higher quality is incorrect. Also, India has been producing fine fabrics for centuries so to say that the quality there isn’t good is a biased statement in my opinion.
I had my first MTM suit at 24 years old. That was 4 years ago. However, I recently went to the suit store and they said that my shoulder is now "46". My MTM suit was "44". I am kind of disappointed, thought that MTM suit can last forever. What are your thought on this?
Hi Michael, I've been shopping around for some MTM suits here in London and have narrowed it down to two potential companies. I wanted to ask which you think is better between 'edit suits' and 'King and Allen'. I don't want to spend more than £600. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks
I would highly disagree with the statement 5:30 that an Italian sartorial such as caraceni would make a suit as nice as saville row. Rather saville row could potentially make it as nice as an Neapolitan tailor but most certainly not better. The best suits come from Italy without a question. The misconception is often that Italians don’t make „british“ style suits. That is another delusion. I have been to both worlds, Italians just fit the best.
i must tell you after I saw that your tie. Which is tied with the tail longer, I lost faith in your opinion as this is a fundamental prerequisite for having informed style. Sorry. I moved on. its always detail right?
there are few options: - if don't want to spend lots - go suitsupply.com - £450-£500 - if you think that you are between £800-£1000 - let me know and I will be able to help
Thanks for your time energy and knowledge. What are the middle of the road fabrics for a suit made to measure. Thanks

i know a guy from edit suit - Kevin Turton - maybe you should talk to him?
A 2 piece English worsted suit should be $1200-$1500 MTM made in England. A 3 piece should be $1700-$2000. My two cents of course. Cheers 🥂

👍
Great double breasted jacket!
I love that interesting button down shirt. The button is on a very unusual place :)
i know right - but if you/I struggled for years to have the collar that stays underneath the jacket, then it is perfect!
Absolutely. I did not say that is bad just said it is unusual and truth be told I like it.
awesome! How many MTM shirts have you got?
