As a fan, a Survivor video game has a ton of potential. Like combining survival elements, challenges, and social strategy you could make a nice RPG-ish game out of it where you create characters and shit. Not...this. I'm pretty sure they never fucking paragliding.
I mean completely stopping like the characters here were doing. It was a bit silly. I mean, it's not like I expected better out of a Survivor video game.
Every character model in this game is so fucking horrifying. I'd be terrified if I ran into one of those in a dark alley, though I'm not sure if it would be out of terror or disgust.

I always root for Danny. Mainly cause Arin is a dick. But they're being competitive so it's all good. It's just kinda funny that Arin got pissed at Jon for not sharing info, but he'll banish Danny's character when Danny spared Arin's best character.

While they did end up playing Dead Rising, I feel like I have to point out that Arin isn't great with modern controllers either. He spends so much time complaining about not understanding game mechanics because he didn't pay attention. The Dead Rising 2 playthrough was actually hard to watch at some points, especially at the end. He made it through the whole thing without ever making the paddlesaws. The combo weapon that's on the cover art.

Ohhh, so that's what the regular meal Danny won from the second-to-last round did, it gave his character more endurance to balance up on the pole longer. So no Arin, no hax, just an almost predetermined outcome thanks to you losing the rafting challenge, much like your slingshot reward that could fire 4 shots before reloading gave you a massive advantage in the target practice minigame.
This gives me an idea! Survivor: Neckbeard addition. 7 Neckbeards will be left home alone by their family's. How long can they survive once their fridges run out of Hot Pockets and Mountain dew? Will they attempt to leave the house to socialize? or will they attempt to find a new ways to survive?
+Beunibster I'm a fan of the show but I'm not the biggest Jeff Probst fan. He was good at first but post survivor season 20 or so he's been starting to annoy me more and more
I know this video is years old but I'm glad I found it. It remined me of my Dad who was a big fan of Survivor. :) He would never miss a episode. He even knew random facts about that show that's how much he liked watching it. He passed away in June and I miss him..
Dan should have eliminated Kelly just to be a jerk. Especially given what Arin did to him later. Also on the targeting game why did it seem like Arin didn't have to reload as much? Spoiler! Glad Dan won.
Arin won a "conventional catapult" or some shit in the previous game, which gave him four shots before having to reload. Dan didn't really have a chance there
The first challenge is a reward challenge, which is why Arin kept getting the packages....they were rewards to help in the real challenge. He got a special parachute for winning the swimming thing, which didn't help him, and the special sling shot for winning the fish challenge, which is why he had 4 shots. Danny got the meal for winning the raft challenge, so he wouldn't tire as fast in the pole challenge.

Just some fun clarifications! I loved the video but some things were eating at me Soooo • Tank tops: Those were what the show call 'buffs' everyone in the game gets one. Its like a big tube with the shows logo on it. The men usually wear it on their heads to keep sweat off (cause I'm pretty sure you always have to wear it some way) And the women typically use it as a second shirt since you only get the one on your back. Excluding the more recent seasons where they magically started having wardrobe malfunctions, the buff shirts stayed on pretty well because of the friction with their swimsuits! :3 Money/reward etc: In the show there are two challenges per episode (excluding redemption island seasons); a reward challenge first where the tribes just compete for a reward like food or fishing equipment etc. The other is an immunity challenge. Win the immunity challenge and your tribe is safe, sending the other to council to be eliminated. Doesn't matter how you did on reward since in the show they take place about three days apart. Idk why they have the other player choose who leaves as the tribe that lost votes out their own typically. Characters: They are from actual seasons!:3 some of the more well known from early seasons. The round before an elimination round appeared to be a rewards round, where the winner got a prize that would help them do better in the elimination round. That's how Arin got the gun with 4 bullets in the red target round. So the reward for Danny winning the one before the balance round was "a typical meal". I'm guessing the game meant for you to infer that Arin's team didn't get to eat before the challenge. So that if neither of them was terrible and somehow fell off early, Arin would lose because his character had less endurance because they were hungry, and Dan would win the round. Which is what happened.
I don't follow on the socials but my guess is they stopped it because Arin was getting pissed that people were pointing out how terrible he is at games.

Danny, as a fellow left hander I must point out that you should still hold the wiimote in the right hand and the nunchuck in the left. I tried the left handed thing, but my friend pointed out to me "dude, you've been gaming and holding a controller with the joystick on the left for your whole life" and then i noticed everything was a million times more natural in the default "right" stance.

That's the entire point of the first challenge though, only the second actually counts score wise, the first challenge just gives you an advantage. Dan was at an advantage, he had won one and Arin hadn't at all.
When Dan didn't know the controls Arin politely demonstrated them for him even if it meant wasting some of his time. Arin and Dan both had an equal amount of time to figure out the controls. Arin did tell Dan his "strategy". *cough*aggrocrag*cough*
I love how when they do rock paper scissors for the hang gliding thing that Arin says "We gotta hit A and you gotta press B." Danny listens and presses B (paper). However, Arin presses A+B (scissors). 6:04
We are now in Survivor Season 39, and this is still the only Survivor game out there lol I do love how the Tribe names for this game are the tribe names from Survivor Tocantines, Season 18, the Season JT won!
That shooting minigame reminded me of this one mini game for Rabbids. I forgot which one Rabbids game it was, but it's for the Wii. The minigame consists of shooting other Rabbids in the face with plungers😂 Same mechanics as the shoot minigame on Survivor but you need the nunchuck to reload your plungers. Eventually at the end, there's a boss you have to shoot down. If I remember correctly, you don't have to worry about moving your character since it moves on its own. If only I could remember which Rabbids game it was 😭😭😭
Ironically, Danny’s actually right about contestants on Survivor dying. While they didn’t die on the show, as of 2016, 4 contestants have died due to their own life problems.
For anyone who doesn't know about this show, in every episode there are two challenges. The first challenge gives the winning team a reward like food or blankets, and the second challenge makes the losing team go to tribal council to eliminate one of their teammates. This game gave the winner of the first challenge a reward that would help in the second challenge.
I admit I'm guilty of enjoying the show's first few seasons when It came out and I admit for what it was, it was some pretty solid (but definitely fabricated) entertainment and I do have some very good memories watching it. Taking Arin's point into account though (that it started the reality craze), I do have to agree that despite having good memories of it, that it did kickstart a long, dark period in the history of entertainment in general, and boy, does that take a lot of points off the scoreboard. Survivor, I love you for the entertainment you once gave me, but aside from that, fuck you for the shitstorm of "entertainment" that tried to copy you afterward. It's not directly your fault, but the blame still lies with you nonetheless.

veitmaneesePiGmEGoaT Then it's even more unfair, if anyone should get the advantage, it's Dan as, at the point, he was already at a disadvantage over all. Either way it should be more balanced like one extra dart, not three.

That's the entire point of the first challenge though, only the second actually counts score wise, the first challenge just gives you an advantage. Dan was at an advantage, he had won one and Arin hadn't at all.

When Dan didn't know the controls Arin politely demonstrated them for him even if it meant wasting some of his time. Arin and Dan both had an equal amount of time to figure out the controls. Arin did tell Dan his "strategy". *cough*aggrocrag*cough*

I love how when they do rock paper scissors for the hang gliding thing that Arin says "We gotta hit A and you gotta press B." Danny listens and presses B (paper). However, Arin presses A+B (scissors). 6:04

We are now in Survivor Season 39, and this is still the only Survivor game out there lol I do love how the Tribe names for this game are the tribe names from Survivor Tocantines, Season 18, the Season JT won!

That shooting minigame reminded me of this one mini game for Rabbids. I forgot which one Rabbids game it was, but it's for the Wii. The minigame consists of shooting other Rabbids in the face with plungers😂 Same mechanics as the shoot minigame on Survivor but you need the nunchuck to reload your plungers. Eventually at the end, there's a boss you have to shoot down. If I remember correctly, you don't have to worry about moving your character since it moves on its own. If only I could remember which Rabbids game it was 😭😭😭

For anyone who doesn't know about this show, in every episode there are two challenges. The first challenge gives the winning team a reward like food or blankets, and the second challenge makes the losing team go to tribal council to eliminate one of their teammates. This game gave the winner of the first challenge a reward that would help in the second challenge.

I admit I'm guilty of enjoying the show's first few seasons when It came out and I admit for what it was, it was some pretty solid (but definitely fabricated) entertainment and I do have some very good memories watching it.
Taking Arin's point into account though (that it started the reality craze), I do have to agree that despite having good memories of it, that it did kickstart a long, dark period in the history of entertainment in general, and boy, does that take a lot of points off the scoreboard.
Survivor, I love you for the entertainment you once gave me, but aside from that, fuck you for the shitstorm of "entertainment" that tried to copy you afterward. It's not directly your fault, but the blame still lies with you nonetheless.
Holy shit, I know right?! As dumb as Survivor is, or at least got after its hundreds of seasons, it's nowhere near as bad as the thousands of reality shows that have popped up over the years because of it.
