Mountain lions would be great in Germany to control the boar and deer populations. Since Germans love to walk and bike in the forests here, unfortunately they would also be on the menu.
@@kel5423 Wild hogs are a BIG problem to farmers in the Southeast US. The only real predators we have to try to hold down the wild hog population are humans.

Red foxes are quite adorable. When i was riding a 4wheeler in the woods as a kid, maybe 10 or 11 yrs old, i saw one run around a round boulder so i followed. Next thing i know it was behind me. So i turned around and chased again, but it caught me. We played tag for probably 15 minutes, and i even got off of the quad to play on foot. I returned to that spot frequently but never saw it again, sadly. It was the most fun i ever had with a wild animal.
Irvine, California here, the coyotes really don’t tend to bother with humans, it’s lone pets that have to worry. I see coyotes all the time here and they’ve never once even acted aggressive let alone made me worry for my safety. That said, Irvine has tons of rabbits and squirrels and such, so the coyotes aren’t exactly starving here.
The truth about Alligators in Florida is they have company.. Florida is the only state in the USa who also have crocodiles almost all the southern states have alligators.
But the point about the temperature is valid- there are *plenty* of crocs already in Africa, if they could survive any further north, they would be there.
If you had raccoons in your area, you'd know it. They are extremely common in the US, and they are very annoying. They get into houses, knock over garbage cans, attack small pets, etc. I've lived in Providence, RI, for almost five years, and we have a significant coyote problem here. I live in the middle of downtown, and I've seen at least seven in the courtyard outside my apartment.
Amateur wildlife photographer here (South Carolina Lowcountry) and I've seen (and photographed) hundreds of gators. They are quite impressive. Deaths are rare and usually happen to people who disrespect them and their habitat (especially when mama gator is protecting her babies). Once I encountered a man from New York attempting to touch a gator's tail to impress his girlfriend. Really stupid...
There are two bass species in the states which are the large mouth and the small mouth. Both are predators but for different prey. Large mouth are fun to catch as they fight well but they are good wall hangers aka trophy fish. Small mouth do give a fight but not as aggressive overall
So the animal at around the 1 minute mark of this video is the Mountain Goat, I believe its also known as the Rocky Mountain Goat which makes sense given their native range. Strangely, despite their name they are not true goats, but rather are a type of "Goat-Antelope."
I live in Fairbanks, Alaska, Northern Pike is common place in several close by and further North. Someone took some pikes and they believe put in a pond or lake. They escaped it and destroyed a Salmon fishery.
Wild you’ve never seen a coyote or a raccoon. I see one of each a couple times a week. I’m in the Boston area and they are everywhere from woods to the city
Thee bigger problem with coyotes is that they breed very well and have large litters so some packs can have more than 30 members. They can be devastating when they move in on ranches like during lambing season. They are scavengers but do hunt well together. The Bass are an excellent fish and taste great. They don't have an oily strong flavor more like a nice white fish. The alligators can be a problem. We have a few in the pond on the back side of our property. Thankfully they don't seem too interested in climbing our fence to get to our pets, but we do keep an eye out just in case.
Back in the day, pet stores would sell baby alligators pretty cheap. I grew up with some friends who had them. Coyotes used to be found mainly in the less inhabited western US... now, they're almost everywhere.
Beesleys, what you saw at 1:20 were mountain goats; at 1:39 was a wolverine; at 2:06 was a bobcat; prairie dogs are at 3:18. It's weird to see the coyote without his nemesis, the roadrunner (think Warner Bros. cartoons). Sadly, as beautiful as the state is, Hawaii no longer has any native bird species due to the house cats which were brought over by mainland Americans, and other immigrants as pets.
Plus if you happen to play with (or eat) the wrong armadillo you'll get leprosy!! Until I moved down here I never knew that Hansens Disease or leprosy even existed in the USA or Mexico but it does. Normally it's not from skin contact but from eating the things without cooking them long enough.
in one of my many face to face encounters with coyotes here in California, it got too curious of my fallen kite while I was out flying it at the pier. had to jimmy it around a bit to get the lil ass to scram
Coyotes aren't the only wild canines in most U.S. cities; we also have wolves as well as (Yes, it's true!) their badass hybrid -- the coywolf. Coywolves are usually smarter and more adaptable than either parent species.
Raccoons are not common in the U.K. Raccoons are native to North America and have some non-indigenous presence in Europe and Japan. Just a heads up, the American 🐊 also lives in the most South Midwest. I live in Oklahoma and we have them.
According to the records, Coyotes have only ever killed 1 person in North America, in Canada. It is also presumed that the Coyotes were dog Coyote hybrids, Coydogs.
England got it rough the last time animals were introduced. I know fire ants were introduced into England and now every summer it’s like trying to control them is a giant chore. The states were also hit hard by the Fire ant invasion now every week its spread fire ant killer or they get an advantage.
A coyote pack lived just down the street from where I lived in Florida. Outdoor pets went missing and what not. My German Shepherd Dog scared them off on a few walks. Sadly, I'm guessing they got hit by cars because I stopped hearing their yealping down the road. =/ *edit point* there is an American crocodile as well in south Florida. Not going to lie, I didn't know there were caimans in the US.
The range of the Alligator has spread as far north as Maryland. The dog breed best suited for coyotes and wolves is the Great Pyranees. In fact breeders of this dog do so for sheep farmers. So get one, and you won't have to worry about wild canines. And I would bet they would be a deterrent to black bears. The negative is they are one, or at best two, person dogs, so not all that friendly to strangers.
Some Shakespeare fan got the bright idea to release some of your starlings in Central Park around 230 years ago and now those buggers are all over the US. They kick other birds out of their nests, carry diseases, and cause hundreds of millions of dollars of damage to crops. So you can have them back if you can manage it.
I was surprised to see the largemouth bass on there. Bass are suitable for human consumption, so at least they could be a food source. I somewhat expected to see the Puma on there.
We have several poisonous spider species that you would not want to have. The Brown Recluse, Black Widow, the more common Brown Widow. I live in California, US and we have all three, plus Killer Bees. Africanized honey bees that will swarm and kill people. I had a roommate that died that way.
We live in the Sonoran Desert in west of Phoenix, AZ. We have LOTS of coyotes who keep the rabbit population under control, but sadly, will also eat small dogs and cats, so people really do have to watch their pets. Rarely do they show any interest in humans.
I live in Arizona USA and coyotes can be very dangerous to small children or smaller pets. They can easily jump a 6 foot fence and grab your dog and then vanish even if you are in the yard at the same time since their attack is so fast. They are not scared of humans, just cautious.
I’ve been around tons of wild coyotes and have seen dozens on my property. Coyotes are nothing for a human to concern themselves with as far as them being dangerous.
