- Bobber conversion going strong! I removed the gaudy stock chrome exhaust and put on these aggressive slashed tip drag pipes I found off eBay and.... they're loud and worth every penny.

you were supposed to soak the wrap and apply it wet, lasts longer
So sweet🥹 And I love how you have the drag shoot tag on the keyring.
Love the bike!! If you wet the wraps first they wrap much tighter. Done both ways and wet is better.
Thats what she said.....
Happiness is a loud Harley!
Just put these on mine and they sound amazing!
You're supposed to soak the wrapping before. They are going to get lose over time.
being searching 48 MOD for so long~ here you're !!!
More incoming!
just got a 09 1200 sportster might have to buy these pipes👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Haha the music, so satisfying
I have just got some of these man they are lovely
They look so good! How much power did you lose on the bottom and mid range?
LOVE THAT SOUND
Bad ass bike!!!
PLease tell me the seat brand and where I can get it from? Cheers
Great forty eight! seb from France
👋🎉
Like the video man ,music goes well with what your doing, good like with your neighbours but if you move out quickly they’ll be ok with it just don’t hang about.
I try my best to start the bike and leave as quickly as possible as well as turning it off when i enter my alley and cruise in neutral back to my garage haha.
btw, thanks for watching and viewing my other videos, I really appreciate it!
Monster sound.
Love the exhaust choice you went with. The build is going great, keep up with the videos! I see you put your front fender back on, how come?
Thanks for keeping up with the build! I put the front fender back on because If i hit any water, it would splash up and hit my helmet unfortunately.
@@jpht.adventures I love the look of no front fender, do you get any little pebbles or road debris in the face when its dry?
@@jpht.adventures where did you get the seat?
Hi, great video bro! question: what map did you put in the fp3?
Cool Vid thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
NICE !!!!!!
Want to do something like this to my 48 so bad but it's under warranty. Might just go for it!😂
Just swap back to the stock parts when you need to bring it in 😅
@@jpht.adventures My man's got the good ideas. 😂
Really cool. Nice.
I just bought these for my softail.
I see the bolt together with bracket, but do they bolt to the bike at bottom at all? Or only at head. Thanks
Thanks for watching! But these just bolt by the headers and the bracket helps stabilizes them together. But no actual bracket to the bike. Hope that helps!
@@jpht.adventures thank you. There are zero directions anywhere. And all the videos on YT jump from wrapping them to testing sound. Lol.
But they look and sound awesome on your bike. Ride safe
I have these but from Amazon on my 48 and the camera doesn’t do it justice how loud they are and the sound hits the chest fr + they throw mega flames at night . Bought the fp3 and dropped the idle to 900
do you tune ecu map after install the exhaust?
Great job!! can you provide a link for your handlebar? thanks
Impressive
What size rear tire is that? Looks bigger than a 150.
Dude, do you have the 12mm or 18mm 02 sensors? And what year is the bike?
Appreciate it
2012 and I believe a 18mm O2
Any chance the wrap comes with a different color?
Any power lost with the new straight pipe? The sound is awesome!
Honestly I didn't have the stock exhaust on long enough to notice a difference. But no complaints with the new exhaust!
Love it! just want to know what year is your forty eight?
Thanks! And it's a 2012
should be soaked before wrapping as youll get a slight stretch and theyll tighten up nicer when they dry.... yours look loose and will get worse quickly
You’re absolutely correct with that. Luckily it’s holding up just fine. But I’ll redo it when it starts falling apart.
Thanks for watching!
Did you have to rejet the carbs? If so, what kit did you use?
It’s fuel injected, my man lol
can possibly ask who’s the particular on ebay whom you bought the pipes? I like those pipes especially the rear which is straight enough
Seller @ Miaozhinau
Thanks Man
Where you get those pipes!? They sound awesome
eBay and I don't regret them one bit!
You from Dallas? Still got your bike? And how tall are you I’m thinking about getting me a 48
I click on the link for the exhaust & nothing comes out 😕 they don’t make them anymore?
good job ... but you're crazy to start doing those jobs in the living room. You don't even see the glass wool where it goes. there is to scratch for years.🙉
Quick Question why when you press the ignition why Does it Take more then a second to Start? is that A specific modification you did to it and Btw Bike Looks Nice🔥
Thats a common thing with the usual acid batteries. i replaced my sportsters battery with a lithium iron battery, bike now starts in a micro second.
I might be late but is that front fender is aftermarket ? Where did you get it
It was already installed when I bought the bike used. So I'm unsure if it's OEM or Aftermarket.
@@jpht.adventures Ooh ok I doing the same you did to your hope the 150 fit perfect w the fender
love the Sportster 48 tank and fat tires
I agree! Unfortunately I'll be upgrading to a bigger tank in the near future since I plan on doing a road trip with it.
Exhaust link no longer works. Does anyone know the brand and where they can be purchased?
Loud pipes are great until the tinnitus kicks in.
already have it🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼. had it since i was a little boy shooting and hunting
I've searched for this exhaust everywhere. What is this exhaust called and where do i get one of these?
Link is in the description!
It doesn’t come out
@peterheng where did you get the seat??
Found it off Facebook marketplace second hand. But I believe it was a Harley Brand
Awesome build did you have to tune the bike after the pipes or is it ok without?
I did not but I’m sure you’re supposed to for the bike to be efficient as possible. So far no Check Engine light
Thanks for watching!
Hi excuse me I'm italian I never owned a harley I would like to buy a harley 48 could you tell me the 0-100kmh or 0-60mph ? Not that I have to race but just outof curiosity and I know it's not a superbike , it's just my curiosity
Thank you have a nice ride
@Mad Max I was just randomly scrolling though the comments trying to find out what exhaust he used and I figured I could reply to yours. I just bought a new 48 at new years. I haven't timed the 0-60 with a watch or anything, but it makes a LOT of low end power and is a ton of fun to ride. You would not be disappointed if your just looking for a fun bike to ride around town and stuff with. NOT recommended for long rides unless you do some upgrades
@@Zustran thank you , I think I've just found out the 0-100 of the 883 iron is 6".6 ... the bike is nice , the harley 48 is my dream bike since I was a kid ... shame for the speed ,but you can't win 😂 I came from ducati but they are wasted here in Melbourne, I didn't even use 10% of their potential so an Harley sportster 883 would be perfect for me
@Mad Max the 48 is definitely a more powerful bike than the 883 with the 1200 engine being the reason. I love the sportsters since I was a kid too. My 48 is my first bike. And if you do the staged upgrades for either you make plenty of power to have some fun with.
Please send the link of this exhaust from eBay?
Hey man. Could you send me what exactly is this exhaust and the link to purchase? Very appreciated.
Here you go!

Thanks bro. It seems it does not fit for Forty Eight 2018.
@@juniorjjjose did you find the exact one that fits?
Actually, not. Was unable to find one that fits to 48 2018.
Top
I need that
Good job
But its more nice to work with your bare hands!
Did you lose any power?
Not that I was aware of, but was more enjoyable to ride!
@@jpht.adventures awesome, seems like I’ll get a pair then 🤘🏼✌🏼
What year is the bike
2012
I don’t know about you guys, but I wouldn’t want my bike to be that loud (besides by that being illegal where I live). I had my silencers out once for a tour but had to go back earlier because my ears just hurt 😅
I like a good sound, but brutally loud is not my thing.
I am 39 by the way, not 60 or so… 😏
What year is this?
2012 🤙
The other comments are correct about soaking the wrap in water first
2 reasons.
You can get them tighter and they’ll last longer.
Second you won’t be breathing in any of the fibres coming off them.
You don’t want them in your lungs.
But you are the first person they I’ve ever seen to wrap them properly!
Always start at the tip and wrap towards the flange.
So the the wrap overlays itself life scales on a fish
So many start at the flange and wonder why the wrap peels off
Cool bike bro 👍
Appreciate you taking your time for the tips/advice. Next time I won't make the same mistakes!
@@jpht.adventures thanks dude.
I always caution people when dealing with exhaust wrap.
The fibreglass/asbestos dust that comes off it when dry can be very harmful if you breath it in
I know it’s an old video
But I just subbed 👍
Neighbor haters are cobra exhaust
What year Harley is this
2012 🍻
@@jpht.adventures it’s dope bro I’m trying too do all those things too my 2022 one
Was the pipes too loud lol
@@chrisjones5033 it's only loud for your neighbors, but when you're actually riding on the road it sounds great
@@chrisjones5033 and it also shoots flames between shifts 😉 but it should probably be tuned haha
i own a 48 but still hate to loud bukes. its like atention seeking .. go see a doc.!
Ow....rubber gloves....bye, next vid
Thanks for watching!
You need to wear gloves when using heat wrap because it has fiberglass in it.
Had to take these off. Way too loud 😅
How a Harley is SUPPOSED to Sound @ Loud & Proud !! :D
You need to soak the rolls in water first
SORRY NOT SORRY!
how to ruin a 48......
