This was an incredible review of one of my favourite thomas DVDS. This was one of my first exposures to thomas and it was great seeing a really good review on it. The willne clip was funny too.
I’m pretty sure it was never officially confirmed when it takes place. Given that’s it’s so similar to season 7 and was filmed at the same time, I’d say it takes Place just before season 7 as I wouldn’t really want ‘mud glorious mud’ to be the last ‘classic’ Thomas episode. I’d much rather it be three cheers for Thomas
See, I remember having this DVD, probably one of the last ones I bought. I'd say it was painfully average for me, but to be fair, Thomas and Friends was pretty much on its way out for me at this point (All hail Lord Cartoon Network). I was so out of it, I don't even remember seeing merchandise for Jack and the Pack. It makes perfect sense for HiT to pimp out the characters as much as they could, but it still never occurred to me that they'd have merch. At that point, there was some sort of merchandise for every character ever, even a one time character like Bertram or Smudger... I gotta compliment the dedication though, dude. You review all these Thomas and Friends releases, and you wanna keep going. I grew intensely sick of those releases I promised to review, and they were all popular classic releases, plus Chad Valley. Nice touch with the ending BTW. One confession from me... I actually thought that DVD was pretty good as a kid.
So the lowest you ranked an episode was 5 out of 10 for Thomas and the Moles. That episode’s alright, but the rest are still awesome. I’m cool with that.
I am a bit confused about you saying thjs is the last classic series DVD. I was looking on tbe wiki and saw all the VHS tapes released in the UK. I am American, so I am used to VHS tapes being re-released as DVDs. Did this never happen in the UK? If not, that really surprises me. I know the UK has those full season DVDs, but still...
Vhs tapes stopped being produced in the UK in 2005 after calling all engines, the pack was filmed in 2003 but wasn’t released until 2006, so it wouldn’t of been able to be released on vhs. But yes a select few vhs tapes were re released onto dvd in the UK, I’ve done reviews on all of the classic series ones 👍
Since I don't live in the UK, these videos are very helpful to me. I should get a region free DVD player. Or just a 4K player, hopefully the PS5 is region free when I get it.
That’s nice that you guys got the entire pack series all in one over here in America these were split up into 3 dvds and for some dumb reason the 3rd one on has like 2 episodes from the pack which makes no sense they could have just put those on the original 2 not have made another dvd
It was mixture of season 1,3,5 and 7. Obviously I saw other episodes from the other classic seasons due to compilation dvds but it was mainly those 4 seasons 👍
Best Video Made By You, I Laughed So Hard At The Thomas & The Moles Bit
Love the use of the scooby doo theme.
the willne cameo was funny and he was wearing the jacksucksatlife hoodie at the end

Ah yes. A good spinoff. Nice review.
I always thought this took place between Seasons 9 and 10.

This series goes to show that we shouldn’t underestimate Steve Asquith and Robert Hartshorne.

My favourite Jack and the Pack episode is "Alfie has Kittens", because I just adore cats. Your kitty is very cute btw.
Dude that intro song is a bop
I own that dvd. It's really great. However, It felt like angelis' narration sounded like a grandfather telling a story to their grandchildren
