This video is an eye-opener on how much our feet influence the rest of our body! 🦶✨ The demonstration of foot misalignments affecting posture and causing pain in the back, neck, and shoulders is fascinating and a must-watch for anyone dealing with recurring discomfort. Addressing the root cause-our feet-can make all the difference in achieving long-term relief. Perfect reminder that everything in the body is connected!

How would we restore the foot back to neutral if it is internally/externally rotated ? Or if if it’s over pronating/supinating ?

That’s a pretty complex question and we have a full live two day course covering this available a few times a year that you can sign up for here: bodyworksdw.com/continuing-education/myofascial-release-techniques-for-the-ankles-feet/

The short answer is that external rotation is not something that the ankle should be able to do so that’s almost always happening either at the hip or the knee (or both). Supination or pronation is going to be an issue at the subtalar joint that will likely also show up at the ankle joint (hinge) as well. Mobilizing these two joints and/or strengthening them will help out a lot!
