well that works differently... in video sponsors are payed in full for being put in the video, youtube ads pay them based on the watch time of the ad and clicks of the ad... so skipping the sponsor ads does not lower the money they gain as long as you where not going to pay for whatever the ad was for anyways, while blocking youtube ads does lower their monetary gain
