@@1CathyHendrix This is my first time harvesting many! Before at our previous places there were hardly any and the bird got them all. Here they seem to grow better (more in quantity and larger in size) so I felt like I could harvest some to cook with. They are currently in the freezer but I think I will make some grape curd with them! What do you like to use yours for? I would love some more ideas! Homemade vinegar is quite easy! Especially if you have a food grade bucket to make it in. This is an apple scrap vinegar I made with apple scarps (we didn’t add any of the rotten scraps to the pile this time since they weren’t going to the chickens), sugar (you can also use honey or maple syrup, it feeds the fermentation), and water. You can also add vinegar to jump start it, I added apple cider vinegar and I feel like it really helped! Our actual waste was practically nothing and was nonexistent if you consider it all went to the chickens!
@@JoelleGrace I make jelly and can plain juice. You can always use the juice to make more jelly at a later time. But I love to drink it. You can also make pie filling with them. Here in the Appalachian Mountains, we make Concord pie with them. I think it's more of a regional thing that was brought over with many of the Italian immigrants. So good!!
@ yum! I had planned to make jelly but we have a lot of jams and jellies, so decided to make something different. These grapes aren’t super sweet but are high in pectin so I know it would make good jam! I have heard of the pie but never tasted it, I would like to make it sometime! We plan to grow a bunch of fruit here including Concord grapes, it just isn’t high on the priority list right now. I would also like to get cuttings or something to further populate the place with the grapes, black raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries that grow wild on our property. I saved the grape vine Judah accidentally pulled down (it was growing far out of my reach on a tree!) to make a basket with! I am waiting for it to age though so it doesn’t shrink too much first.

Ooh😮 interesting creatures.
Looks like you are having fun,
Wild grapes are the bomb!! So much better than tamed. I need to look up how to make homemade vinegar. A great way to use apple peels!
