From Wikipedia The word liverwurst is an anglicization of German Leberwurst, meaning "liver sausage". It is also known as liver sausage by some English speakers. It is a sausage eaten in North America, in large parts of Europe, including Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania (especially in Transylvania), Russia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and in South American countries such as Argentina.
Most liverwurst varieties are spreadable. Liverwurst usually contains pigs' or calves' livers. Other ingredients are meat (notably veal), fat, and spices including ground black pepper, marjoram, allspice, thyme, ground mustard seed, or nutmeg. Many regions in Germany have distinct recipes for liverwurst. Adding ingredients like pieces of onion or bacon to the recipe make each variety of liverwurst very important to cultural identity. For example, the Thüringer Leberwurst has a Protected Geographical Status throughout the EU. one of my favorites Rick, brings back fond childhood memories, I was born in Stuttgart, Germany, (Army brat) & my step-mom from Check-Republic (she escaped from behind the Iron Curtain) would make homemade liverwurst...yummy , I'm going into hospital tomorrow but as soon as I get home I already have liverwurst in the fridge for a sandwich can't wait....

I never grew up eating liverwurst (wish I had!). I randomly saw it in the grocery store and never heard of it prior but still decided to buy it since it sounded really good! And boy was I happy I did! It is my favorite kind of lunch meat now!
Nice! I remember my granddad used to make this sandwich for us as kids growing up. Just a few slices same thickness as yours, Mayo, pepper & the onion slice looks like a great idea with mustard.
I know that horse radish along with that garlic made that a spicy liver wurst sandwich.

Down right love Liverwurst. Have it about once a week, My Great grandma who's 99 years old got me hooked on it when I was young lol. I tho think it goes great with super cold Coca-Cola. In fact think I'll have it for lunch today... your older videos are just as kickass as your new ones. Keep it up man.

Oh yeah.My dad got me hooked on it.His favorite was liverwurst and onions.I eat mine with a ton of mayo and mustard.Or i just eat it by itself.Its also good fried but taste best cold.

My good friend is German and his father is a German butcher. He made me a bunch out of some pigs I raised. Real German liverwurst is pretty damn good

That's the way that I eat it too. Just 2 pieces of bread, some mayo and braunsweiger and I'm good to go.

My Dad used to make liverwurst (or, the only way I can find it here in Idaho, braunschweiger, on saltines, with some yellow mustard and hot sauce. We’d eat those while watching the Cubs lose.

Me and my youngest daughter love a good Braunschweiger, same as Wurst, sandwich with some spicy mustard. Out of a large family of six this is like a safe food I know the others, except for the youngest, will not even attempt to eat. So rich and yummy for the tummy!
