I'm an Aug enjoyer but main support and I have been patiently waiting for the Aug Hbar :[. I got really excited when I saw it on a roadmap as its never really in any game and I tend to like the Aug in most games its in for its stable recoil but have usually prefered lmgs as people will just peek into a mag dump and kill themselves, its funny.
You can make some seriously nasty flanks with this with the long suppressor, but where it shines is in patrolling around capture points outside the main fight, and laying down support fire at a safer range where you have time to pick your targets, and I find I can just beam full squads if they're distracted enough because the suppressor keeps sound and flash down. Top tier gun, close to 1000 kills with it already.
started a new job/life so havent played in a while, but your content gives me a good battlebit fix, looking forward to eventually using this when i get the chance!
My preferred weapon for Support is still the Ultimax, but the RPK is fun, no doubt about it. I don't know what it is about the Ultimax in particular, but I seem to get more kills with that weapon than any other.
Statistically one of the worse support weapons. It seems like you're so accustomed and biased to using it that you're performing well with it. Perhaps you subconsciously use strategies that cater towards the strengths and minimise the weaknesses?
@@dank-bongripper9836 the RPK and the Ultimax are both great for hosing people on the upper edge of mid range they suffer when assaulting a point but when defending a point they both excel. the buffs to the bipod really help both of these when running a magnified optic
@@grilin18. Their ttk is indeed offset for when you can hit more of your shots than the opponent can but yet again this is a tactic that uses the element of surprise and is a bit niche. It is comparable to the acr and m4 from the older cod titles. They do low damage with mediocre fire rate but that low damage stays consistent over range with laser like accuracy. I remember that the mp7 was preferred over the acr in mw3 given that the precision of the acr was lower since it had a bit of a bounce to it, but now I'm sidetracking.
It's pretty great, but I still went back to my Ultimax100, it's a damn fully automatic sniper rifle with 100 rounds. Can clear out several people in a hallway 150 meters without having to stop n reload. Edit: WoW, I can't believe you're using a drum and trying to counter snipers with this thing. If you think it's effective on the RPK, you're gonna s**t yourself when you try it with the Ultimax100
Woah when the heck was there a face reveal?! I'm trying to rank this gun up so I can use some of the attachments, it's punchy but doesn't handle so well thus far.
It is a very comfy gun though I hate how like the other Russian guns, the stupid iron sights are still visible through the red dot. I find myself having to use stuff like the PK A-S or Strikefire, which I don't hate to get around this issue. I still want another LMG though, but having a 45 round base mag helps distinguish it a lot from the usual LSWs which feel like bootleg ARs. I prefer to run exo as a support, just lean into being a fatty slowpoke but 4 mags on the RPK feels too little so I end up having to take Heavy for 2 more mags. I do have all my heavy ammo boxes I guess so less mags isn't the end of the world.
I'm still vary much annoyed that LMGs get outgunned by most assault rifles and smgs. You shouldn't be able to turn a corner into a hail of bullets and 2 tap someone from 50 meters while getting hit from the thing's
Worth it for the sound alone. This thing sounds like a 44 gallon drum getting beaten to death by a baseball bat attached to a V8 engine. Wild man.
I have a 4.2 K/D in Battlebit and have been finding it a lot harder to stay alive lately.

I have been able to use the rpk up to like 100m its really good for control, 2x scope one of the last scopes to unlock fits it very well
That reminds me how good RPK was in BF3

I've been using mine with the drum mag and b-25 urk as well and it feels sooooo good.

What the hell is that attachment from the opening? Something on the left side of the gun, with a curving metal piece over the ironsight?

I often find myself having negative recoil with it because I drag down with it too much

Use 2nd loadout with l86 instead, cus extended mag gives 25 extra rounds for it, while it gives only 15 more rounds for rpk16.

Guys why is there not a weapon loadout in the menu? So i can edit all my builds. They had it in the beta, it would be mad if they removed it

I don't know why it wasn't in-game from the start. It's the quintessential light machine gun.

As a support player i honestly dont really like it. i really want more LMG's with big box mags not light support guns.
