    This is so much cooler than the "Hey guys, we spent 1230234789qw0t483124230423098 dollars for this brand new header!" types of videos. That goes for yout trucks, tractors, bins, all of it. Such a great philosophy of farming and life!

    Now that is what we want to see: real engineering being done on the farm, the way farmers do it! That was an ingenious way to straighten that header. Never seen it done that way before, but it obviously works because it is so much straighter than it was. Like that you used a much longer length of pipe to re sleeve the joint, it adds a bit of rigidity to the frame. At least the extensions weren't welded on before, that would have been nasty to fix. Thanks from UK.

    Thanks for another great video Welkers.
    It was so much interesting and informative and enjoyable to watch for sure.
    About the time I think the Welkers have done all that can be done to fix something, then they come up with another even more amazing project. Like taking the bend out of a header for the combine. Now how many would attempt that-not many!!!! But then in walks the Welkers and well, we can fix that bend. Wow and wow.
    I am totally impressed that you got the bend out of that header and knew what to bend where and then weld what needed welding to hold it in place.
    You folks are awesome in fixing farm equipment and I doubt if too many that built it in the first place know how to do what you all just did!!!!!!!!! My compliments to each and every one of you- - you are absolutely awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    You can all be on my team anytime!!!!!
    When you get the fine points of that header fixed and or adjusted, you will have a close to new header!!!!!! Nice 👍.
    Doing well with your sprayer until the hose broke. Scott did a quick hose fix and back to the field for more spraying. Very little down time on that one. Nice work.
    Nick you did a good job trying to fix the heater core on the new truck. But too many leaks so will need a new part there. Some are just not fixable. Good try. The other cooler you were able to fix. Win one, lose one. Not bad.
    Got the hood on and ready to go. Getting closer and closer to done all the time. Yeah!!!!!!
    About it I believe. I am still blown away on you folks taking the bend out of that header. Not many would attempt that.
    You three made it look easy, not a problem, can do!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I do sincerely appreciate your talents and the investment you save by being able to fix these high dollar items. Wonderful!!!!!!!!
    I don’t think you all really understand the importance of your talents and how much it means to the overall farm operation!!!!!!!!
    I am amazed at you all. Be on my team anytime!!!!!!!!!
    You all take care and be safe. Sending my prayers and blessings for some RAIN 🌧️ to help your crops!!!!!!!!!
    Take care my dear friends!!!!
    The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

As soon as you said it was slightly forward I thought that just gives you a little room "if" you happen to gently hit something during harvest. Thanks for sharing. Most of those copper pipe repairs can be made with Sil-phos rod and something near a #4 brazing tip with oxy/acety. Be sure to control the heat so you don’t overheat other joints with either a heat trap product or a wet rag wrapped around joints you don’t want to liquify other joints…

    • @GreenWarfare
      @GreenWarfare 6 днів тому

      they are mostly flat grounded, and flex headers are expensive, so i think that's why.
      btw i guess you need trailer for flex header and it is one more complication...

    • @Farmer1277
      @Farmer1277 6 днів тому

      @GreenWarfare why would you need a trailer for a flex header? I run a flex head and road it. The cutter bar can bounce up and down but it has limits. I just think a header that has give won't get messed up as easily because it can bounce over rocks and not ram into them.
