I drove for twenty years and during that time peddled freight in Manhattan for nine of those years. This guy deserves a medal! Whatever they’re paying him, it isn’t enough!
There not hard bud us the front trailer as your truck whatever way your truck goes the back one goes the same way as your truck i love b trains I dont want to haul a 53ft trailer again
my exact thoughts, I've been driving for 28 and did doubles for 22 of that and I could do a pup and a dolly but not a whole set especially blindsided, that's an outstanding and probably gifted driver right there, and I agree with somebody else he doesn't get paid enough no matter what he's getting paid!!!!! 🙃
He'd get a lot of practice, those are dump trailers. Have to always back up to where you dump! Then disconnect and dump lead. A lot more work then a long end dump
I have driven for 42 years ,that is by far the most skilled driver I have ever seen 90% of the drivers today can’t even back a single trailer up that well. Good job my trucking brother good job .
Wow!! There’s a driver that knows his stuff !! He has a good feel, insight for the length of the truck n trailers and the space needed to manoeuvre properly. He certainly has a good gift. He could educate a lot of today’s “truckers”. Wow!!
I drive buses, and think I can back a bus anywhere. This guy makes me look like I have no clue how to back up. Well done. If anyone questions your ability, just show them this video! Not only did he do a blindsided backing, he had a hill that obstructed his view of the second trailer. Guess his next job is training new drivers?
Doubt it. He's probly had a couple trainees that couldn't speak English OR French, and just said "Fuck it, I'll stick to backing up B Trains blindside - it's easier."
This brings back memories of TRYING to back in double haywagons in the barn !! I got kicked out of the tractor seat many of times then watch the older gentleman just get it first try !!
Absolutely brilliant. Thumbs up. I'm a German truck driver for over 30 years but this man but this man and his skills thrills me. Bravoooooooo, well done. Greets from Germany
I give that man a lot of respect!! One hell of a job backing those in there!! I have 20 years experience and don't know of i could do that!! Great job Driver!!!!!
Ive been drivin 22yrs now still goin strong.. And doin that with a straight 53ft trailer is tuff soo cuddos driver.. Its takes a special kind of person to do this job its tuffer tban what it looks more mental tuff than anything else fellow driver's know what i man by that. Stay safe brothers and sisters
These guys are so talented. Having just recently started pulling a B-Train, I can honestly say that it's a challenge to back them up. Totally different than previously pulling a tandem or tridem down the road. I hope with time to be more skilled like this gentleman.
1 trailer is harder to back than b-trains. Look at that room he has between the truck and trailer when jackknifed. With a 53 footer AND a reefer, you're toast at that angle.
Very impressive skill indeed. Worked with truckers in Fort McMurray driving similar configurations, very difficult with 2 pivot points, a lot of weight, backing in tight places. They took great pride in being the best at backing up, my hat goes off to them.
I worked for Laidlaw for 3 years. I have seen some guys that will put b-trains anywhere, better than most with a straight trailer. This was absolutely perfect.
I was told I was the first driver too bring a set of doubles into Paterson n.j. That being said I had a hard time with just getting to my drop hats off to that driver.
It's always cool to see the old pros doing it. I've been driving truck for 8 years but just single trailer. I got onto a b train and had a hell of a time just backing into a truckstop parking spot.
Back in the day when I was 15 at my folks farm we had 2 full hay wagons with bales my dad put the wagons by the barn .He said that we would have to run the wagons in to the barn because it might rain .My folks had to go to town and I stayed home .well they left and I looked at those wagons and well half HR later I backed those 2 wagons in to the barn shut the doors and put the tractor in the shed later my folks came home and my dad put the car in the garage walked out and seen me sitting on the lawn with a funny look and said where are the hay wagons ?? I said in the barn .I guess I did a good job and we both had big smiles .Not bad for a 15 year old Kid.Cjd wash state p.s. when ever I see a hay wagon it always put's s a smile on my face.🤔
Love backing up b trains way more fun then a 53ft trailer that fella is from Ontario canada seen him on the road a few times wish I could put a picture here of my b train flatbed on here
What people sometimes don't appreciate, is the number of turning moments to try and control whilst doing that manouver shown here. A backward thinking mind helps too! Simply by viewing images through mirrors whilst reversing. Now that is a really clever human ability to get this right, proberly with lots of practice until it becomes second nature. There is a degree of luck to do it right every time. Looks like 4 moments (pivot/swivel) points to be aware of on a 'B' train combination. Amazing skill indeed.😃👍
There are 3 jointed truck reversed. Only hard thing i see in reversing american Blinks is the way rear trailer is shorter than front lne. Finland mainly uses fulltrailers. Also Blinks are common and triple jointed HCTs. For finnish drivers they are easy task. Triple jointed might take some time to learn. Different story for average american and european drivers.
I can back a horse trailer and a boat down the ramp..... However, this is pure artistry!!! Even as a girl I have seen some drivers make impossible/great backing!!! Always great to watch.
Man..I thought i was bad ass when i pulled off a parallel park one night in a dark Texas rest stop between 2 other rigs from my blind side but this is some next level skill. Well done driver. 👍
I drove for twenty years and during that time peddled freight in Manhattan for nine of those years. This guy deserves a medal! Whatever they’re paying him, it isn’t enough!
No doubt
He drives for laidlaw, ofcourse it's not enough!
Yes! I worked at UPS for ever and most of the drivers I saw couldn't back up 1 trailer.
There not hard bud us the front trailer as your truck whatever way your truck goes the back one goes the same way as your truck i love b trains I dont want to haul a 53ft trailer again
@@lucasdobson9278 I can back up B TRAINS, now A TRAINS that's another story
Asome. I have 30 years driving, and I still probably couldn’t do that. That’s some kind of kicking ass driving. My hats off to him.
my exact thoughts, I've been driving for 28 and did doubles for 22 of that and I could do a pup and a dolly but not a whole set especially blindsided, that's an outstanding and probably gifted driver right there, and I agree with somebody else he doesn't get paid enough no matter what he's getting paid!!!!! 🙃
This guy deserves a raise! I can barely back a 53 ft trailer lol
He'd get a lot of practice, those are dump trailers. Have to always back up to where you dump! Then disconnect and dump lead. A lot more work then a long end dump
ähhh nope? not awsome
If you had practice doing it you could
14 years I’ve been driving and this guy made that maneuver look smooth as butter. I’m sick with jealousy.
nope
In my 50 + years of driving I could probably count on one hand the number of times I have seen this done . Hats off to you Driver.
Really I was doing this at 25 years old with 2 years on bs

I heard it was his first time!

I have driven for 42 years ,that is by far the most skilled driver I have ever seen

Good job my trucking brother good job .
Get real buddy a 90 degree back is required for the cdl test...90 percent can't pfffft what a joke
@@dr.z3426were talking a B train here pal,why not show us how you would do this
I thought for a second he wasn’t even gonna need a pull up. That was harder than people think.
I thought the same, it's hard to judge to get it all to straighten up blind side inline without the pull up
Unicorn
Blind side backing is tough enough. Much less to do it with an accordion! That was seriously impressive!
LOL didn't just do it made it look easy, well done!
Only real drivers can understand how difficult that is
Wow!! There’s a driver that knows his stuff !! He has a good feel, insight for the length of the truck n trailers and the space needed to manoeuvre properly. He certainly has a good gift. He could educate a lot of today’s “truckers”. Wow!!
Salute to that driver from a fellow trucker💪🏾💪🏾✊🏾🔥🔥
That’s how is done in Canada!! Laidlaw’s based out of Ontario 🇨🇦
Thats definitely not today's new generation drivers, mad respect!!!!
Skills brother💯

Wow I’m a trucker too I’m 29 about 8 years in and then B trains are horrible lol give that man a raise
I wouldn't say there horrible, just a skill you haven't mastered yet!
You'd hate trucking in New Zealand then, you gotta no how to operate a b-train.
Oh and 95% of B-trains have a dolly instead of built into the trailer.
@@masterlawson1009 it's not a b train then...

That’s amazing skill. He must be very experienced.
I know a young man that can drive tractor and combine like nobody else. It has to be inside a person to perfect skills like that!!!
Great Job, Driver!!!
What else can you say but that was “amazing “😎🇨🇦
Definitely NOT a product of Swift drive school!
I've been in an oilfield double-bottom for 9 years now... That's a nice piece of work!👍🏼
Leave SWIFT alone it's my favorite company. 😆
I heard there was still experienced drivers out there that proved it

What an amazing job you did congratulations do you mind if I watch this 50 or a hundred times so I can learn how to do that ???
Hell, I drove OTR for 40 years and it was all I could do to just back 1 trailer blind sided.
no kidding doing all that from a fisheye very impressive
1 trailer is harder to back than b-trains. Look at that room he has between the truck and trailer when jackknifed. With a 53 footer AND a reefer, you're toast at that angle.

Pretty impressive to say the least, bang on actually.. top notch driver
That driver drinks diesel instead of coffee. My friends, that is called a true driver. You are a bad azz.
Lol, yes he's good
I consider my self an excellent driver and can back a set up but to do it blind side in a sleeper....... this person is very talented!!!

glad to see Laidlaw is still around. i know they sold their flatbed div. they always had sweet trucks!
Been awhile since I've pulled a set of trains am a little out of practice backing them up, but recently taught one of our rookies how to do it
There’s days when I have trouble backing B trains straight. That driver made it look too easy.

can they even back up without a trailer?
