Instead of a Chinese bike with ABS, Fuel Injection, ride by wire, traction control rider electronic aids,etc...I like the idea of a 650-ish cc, cheaper, less gizmos, parallel twin 270° crank scrambler or adventure bike with an electronic smart carburetor. Which works as good as FI on a small engine. So it could cost less & have fewer parts. To not have to break/replace. 🤔 Maybe ABS that can be switched off for trails. The ABS might save you if a deer or car pulls out & you instinctively slam on both brakes. I just seen all the rider aids & FI useless on the majority of bikes. Maybe useful on a 1000+ cc racing bike. Where you're trying to squeeze every ounce of power & fuel efficiency out of the bike. But all the extra parts is more weight & more potential failure points.
After decades of overpricing and robbing us ( by major bike brands ) I am super glad for newcomers in the market. By showing them my support , I even order one bike ....

You say that but japan was making consumer electronics for decades - china now makes much more: smartphones, tvs etc. Where was your smartphone made, is it of acceptable quality?
…. It’s what the British and Americans said about the Japanese cars in the 60s and when the ‘73 OPEC happened in the states HONDA was king with their little Civic CVCC changed the minds of many, then the British manufacturing corps such as British Leyland /BMC collapsed followed by the the American market moving to Japanese’s imports.. Then came along the Koreans with Kia/Hyundai in the mid-80s yet they’re outselling most manufacturers world wide for the last 35 years.. Even BMW source their engines from Scandinavian, Indian and British manufacturers, the Japanese market in the mid-90s had Chinese manufacturing companies rebrand Honda, Yamaha and Vespa / piaggio, so your theory of Japanese reliability isn’t the same as it once was as others are catching up…
@Incountry Agree. Honda and Toyota and Nissan are not what they used to be. Seems the whole car industry is going down hill as far as quality controls are put into place.
except that they have already been making motors for ktm bmw benelli etc for some time and sold on to us for a huge profit. Japanese bikes are now bland, just redressed old hat. It's a bitter pill to swallow but 17-18k for a bike! we've been done
They said the same thing about Japanese bikes not so long ago. If you look at the history, anything that was made by Japanese like motorcycles and cars was considered trash. Now there are collectors of what use to be called trash. I'm going to buy a 2025 model soon as they hit the dealers. I know a lot of people that plan the same thing. I use to be loyal to USA brands but since they are not really USA made anymore, I have discontinued this mindset. My ford truck was made in Mexico. Clearly US brands don't care about brand loyalty anymore. Not only that, but they have priced themselves out of the market. The American people have been reduced to the lowest common denominator. Price!!! I can get near the same quality of bike for just a little over half the price. And another thing, CFMoto has a warranty that is 2 times that of most other companies. If they are willing to do that then they must have faith that the product is of good quality.
@@ibewscott69 Actually, I am literally in love with 2 bikes, one of them is an Indian FTR 1200. But I live in Europe, and the cost of purchasing and maintaining one is much higher than it should have been. Ironically enough, since many of its parts are made by European companies!
I'll take a new SRK 1000 @ 9,000 than anything used in that price range. If your lucky you will buy something used without having to put another 3k into maintenance.
In reality! No riders are gonna consider these cheap knockoffs! The only people who are gonna buy these things are people who would try to ride once and then realize its not for them and quit riding!
I have never purchased a Chinese product that was worth its lower price. When I was a kid we all were familiar with “Japanese junk”. I’m afraid it will take time for Chinese manufacturing to evolve the way the Japanese have.
japanese bikes cant even invent tft display on their jap bikes. they even waited for china to invent one wahahaha. poor belief you got since you are a kid.
The Chinese have already surpassed the Japanese. Do you find any Japanese smartphone brands that dominate the global market. Like Samsung, Apple or Chinese Xiaomi, Vivo or Oppo. The Japanese are now learning from the Chinese how to build an affordable and tech rich evs.
I'm 70. Have owned around 100 motorcycles. I used to sneer at India and China produced bikes. Although fond of all bikes, I always questioned QC of the China bikes. However, it's my belief that they've improved tremendously in manufacturing acumen and metallurgy. Thus, I recently ordered a X-Pro Paladin 300 EFI.
I'm the sucker that would pay $2k more for a bike so I can get parts easily, take it to local mechanics, have it serviced if I'm out of town, have the confidence that it will get 20 years of parts availability, retains resale value and, last, doesn't make me look to cheap to fully invest in my love of motorcycles. But that's just me.
I have been using the cf moto 800 offroad for almost 2 years now n have taken it to places where many europe bikes wont dare to go n deep down the bike has really shocked me with its power n conquering rough terrains
For those of us who just want to ride and aren’t overly bothered about ‘status’, switching to bikes from the far-east or India has been a ‘no-brainer’ for some time. The range of choice is expanding rapidly, running costs are low and durability is surprisingly good (and constantly improving). Existing leading brands will have to decide whether to stay in the game and compete toe to toe by shifting manufacturing to wherever its cheapest, or whether to move their range even further up-market in the hope of hanging on to a loyal following for whom the badge on the tank is the only thing that matters. I suspect most of us will become increasingly reluctant to pay the difference.
Imagine providing the buyer / rider / customers with more features, longer range & protection for less money? It’s something the Japanese, Taiwanese, Italians, Indians & Germans haven’t done?
I remember when I was a mechanic starting out over 50 years ago I bought cheap tools do you know how I bought those tools 5 to 6 times then I worked at a place where I bought snap-on tools and I only bought them one time they were made in America and they were tough as hell and I still have them to this day as 45 years of a operating engineer mechanic local 12 Los Angeles
But in the current context where European brands produce motorcycles that are much more expensive than Chinese ones, it is logical that Chinese motorcycles sell more and that European brands are in crisissss
You might not, a lot of new riders like myself haven't had to deal with the older bad Chinese bikes and the stigma around them. I own a CFMoto 450SR. Ive done 32,000km on mine and not a single problem, low maintenance cost and sounds and feels amazing. I replaced the stock tires after 8,000km to some pirellis besides that the rest is the same.
It worth to be mentioned that QJ Motor SRK 1000 has the frame and the engine from MV Agusta Brutale 921 and the design is made by C-Creative, which is the design company of Giovanni Castiglioni. Adrian Morton and Paolo Bianchi work with him. Also, the design of Moto Morini is made by the same C-Creative.But I doubt SRK 1000 will be only 9000 euro in Europe, SRK 921 RR costs the equivalent of 8900 euro, but in China.
I think it will depend on how often they need to be serviced and how much a service will cost, and whether anyone is near-by who can do it. My BMW servicing costs are horrendous.

If bikes like the 800mt-x the Kove 800 and the ds800 rally prove their worth with such incredible prices the bigger manufacturers are surely going to make even better bikes or be forced to lower the prices to compete.
The old adage, you only get what you pay for may well apply here! Chinese copies are well known for their poor reliability and fail to understand all the tech that really goes into bike design! How many are involved in Moto GP's? Are they trying to steal the show without the technical know how? I have to say in mitigation, the beauty we see may not last, but how can you know until you buy and try! Risk your money first and be the bike test for the rest! Replying to thelittlesignpost. What are the requirements for Moto GP? The Chinese manufactures are getting towards the displacement required for Moto GP. They're building a good lineup of models for sale to secure a stable business model instead focusing on and betting the farm for racing in Moto GP. CFMoto for the short time they have been in Moto3 have done very well. 2024 World Championship. How well would a liter bike sell in the Asia market to justify all the R&D and money to make it available to a market that cannot afford it. The Chinese will have to build a customer base elsewhere in the world to sell their liter bikes in volume at an affordable price the same way the Japanese brands did years ago to support a Moto GP effort. How well do their liter bikes sell in Japan compared to the rest of their lineup. The European brands in Moto GP sell liter bikes in low volume that are 5 and 6 times the cost of what sells in the Asian market. They rely on worldwide sales at a premium price point for their sales numbers. China is not there yet. I am really not telling you anything you did not take into consideration of how a manufacturer would jump into Moto GP. CFMoto's in Europe get a four-year warranty and price point that is hard to resist. Here in America, we only get a two-year warranty that you can extend out to six years that includes all free service cost for those six years. -Because its users spend most time of year with their bikes halted/parked due to lack of parts, compared to the amount of time they spend riding their chinese bikes.

I am old enough to remember when bikers said that about Japanese motorcycles 🏍. People will buy quality. The Chinese just have to deliver motorcycles that doesn't break down.
Ah ya mean like all the other Chinesium Crapolium they dump in America?
Actually, this is true. And that huge success of the Japanese manufacturers is what shook the European manufacturers into making again some marvelous bikes during the last 20-25 years.
It will be very unlikely. Japanese mentality is about being the best. Chinese mentality is to cut every corner for a few cents.

Yes indeed, Honda open their 1st store in 1959 in Los Angeles, and nobody will buy nothing from them, only time will tell how good the chinese bikes can be.
The Japanese made motorcycles been prefecting their bikes for decades. I doubt a Chinese bike is even going to compare.
Yeah, I said the same thing about jap bikes back in the sixties. Turned out that was just one frame out of a 60 year movie production…

I have never purchased a Chinese product that was worth its lower price. When I was a kid we all were familiar with “Japanese junk”. I’m afraid it will take time for Chinese manufacturing to evolve the way the Japanese have.

@richardgrabert8248: I take it you'd opine the same re. Chinese EV's too, am I right...?

I'm 70. Have owned around 100 motorcycles. I used to sneer at India and China produced bikes. Although fond of all bikes, I always questioned QC of the China bikes.
In Denmark (Europe) where I live, I see no competition to Japanese motorcycles. It may come. Competition is always welcome.
Imagine providing the buyer / rider / customers with more features, longer range & protection for less money? It’s something the Japanese, Taiwanese, Italians, Indians & Germans haven’t done?

It worth to be mentioned that QJ Motor SRK 1000 has the frame and the engine from MV Agusta Brutale 921 and the design is made by C-Creative, which is the design company of Giovanni Castiglioni. Also, the design of Moto Morini is made by the same C-Creative.But I doubt SRK 1000 will be only 9000 euro in Europe, SRK 921 RR costs the equivalent of 8900 euro, but in China.

Did you forget pearl harbor? Did you forget that US funded covid? Did you forget that almost all have parts made in china? Did you forget that Harley Davidson is moving to India? There are a lot of things you are forgetting to have loyalty to a countries products. If it was 30 years ago i would agree. Things have changed. The lines have been blurred. Things are not what they seem anymore. So will you buy a product who's name and location of origin is not Chinese but is made in china? Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Yamaha, Harley Davidson, Indian all have their motors made by Chinese companies. Most of the electronics on the these bikes are made in china. One way or another you are giving business to china. The quality is not an issue because they just use the same manufacturing plants that make all the others parts. Your heart is in the right place, but unfortunately the manufactures of products have no such loyalty.
It all comes down to the least common denominator. Price!!!
Honestly some of these are impossible to overlook. I hope they prove reliable because if they do they offer competition to the bigger brands and that's a good thing for the consumers.
The price point may win the day for Chinese bikes, but how long will they last and hold their value? Wait a few years and we will see! I am concerned about the short cut in quality materials may prove to be the downfall, looks can be deceiving! Tofu Dregs???
But still, the looks and design is very enticing 😁

And the retail price point is cheaper here than in Europe. I have the 450SS/SR that was designed in Italy. ABS/ECU/ fueling by Bosch, Brembo brakes. To use your scripted. No, thank you. Between 1977 and 2014 I've been with Honda. Great bikes. I've stopped riding in 2014 when I became 60.
Thanks for your anecdote! I'm glad you enjoyed motorcycles in your youth!
a big hug Jossss! remember to subscribe 🫡🫡🫡
Oh they look good... oh so very nice... but I have a bad aftertaste after riding an off-road Chinese bike when the headset opened up after 20 mins, and the bearings dropped out.
I'll be keeping my old bikes, new bikes are way to expensive and not worth the money.
I still like my Harley and Kawasaki
hahahahaha Harley Davidson already makes some motorcycles in China 😎😎😎
The future is Chinese motorcycles, my friend!!! 🔥
Chinese bike below 500cc sell well in Asia due to cheap & durability, above 500cc people still choose Japanese bike a lot especially Kawasaki.
They getting better every year .. they will draw level very soon
China is at the forefront of innovation but number 1 from behind when it comes to durability. The only thing that has extraordinary durability in China is its people, not its products.
the quality of Chinese motorcycles will gradually improve!
The Japanese Revolution In the United States Started in earnest in 1973 With the Apearance of the Mighty Kawasaki Z-1 -- IT WAS A STAGGERING 900 CC of power, Baby; Power Galore.
If theyr as good as they seem to be, they can clearly be a an option
Its about time
Nice!
Benda are also making some seriously interesting motorcycles, just a pity about the company's name "Benda", what's that all about?
Shineray are manufacturing a Harley-Davidson Sportster clone in the form of their V1200 "Stormbreaker", they are marketing the machine in Europe under their SWM brand name. SWM are another Italian brand that is now Chinese owned as are Benelli and Morini.
Fantastic and the world needs to wake up...
I think I will stick to the classic's. Just cant go past Honda for reliability and quality.
I bought a Chinese Scooter that looked really nice, but the motor was made out of cheap metal and became evident after putting miles on it. Things started self- destructing.
