Mine just delivered yesterday I was impressed by the background music as I’m browsing through the games library, I was hearing bits of rock like queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, the game of thrones theme, Dido, even game soundtracks it’s refreshing to get that. Worth noting that you you’ll get a ps2 style controller but with the abxy on the buttons so the buttons as a default are the opposite in the selecting of games the buttons A is actually B, Y for X I actually paid $46 for mine so I had to dig long to find it cheaper, never hesitate to hold out for the cheaper price it will make you feel better, I wouldn’t have paid $70 that would have been a hard pass so customers shouldn’t get discouraged and I also bought mine on AliExpress and bought extra wired controllers so I didn’t have to use wireless and yes sometimes the trigger buttons stick occasionally.

@BelmontClan That's probably true, however the chip that powers it is supposed to be better. The X2 struggles with the newer games. Hoping the X4 fixes that problem.

Great review! Do you know if it’s possible to copy the 256gb micro SD card from this device and use it in the Box Arcade? My Box Arcade card got corrupted when I tried to add games to it and the roms disappeared :( I noticed others have had the same issues when handling these console SD cards.
I could not say, however I know Ali express has cheaper products with just the MicroSD card loaded with roms. I would not buy this unless you needed the hardware as well.
I want to find an SNES and a Genesis and possibly a Saturn Controller (might could use same one for Saturn and Genesis) for respective games. I have this system and its awesome, but the controllers are its achilles I believe.
I have connected an SNES USB controller. The weight isn't exactly the same but the feel is on par. I believe you can also find a USB converter for the OG controller. You will be able to map the controller if you do hook one up to it.

I haven't reviewed it. Maybe I will order one to try out. Unless you are trying to play the late 90's early 2000's games. There is no need to spend more money on the system. This one plays everything from PSX down fairly well with the exception being N64.
Yes. You will need a Micro SD reader and and SD slot on your computer to access the files. You can also access the files if you connect the device to your wifi. It is a bit time consuming to delete the duplicate files since they are saved in separate folders per system.
Another question, if I really wanted to, could I just delete all the games and only put the ones I want on there? And if I were to order a wireless n64 controller with a dongle would it work.
@tyler6929 When you plug the micro SD card into your computer. You will have access to all the roms. They are stored in folders and formated to be accessed by the OS. You can easily delete the roms but keep the folders that way you can easily add the corresponding roms later if you need to.
@tyler6929 You should be able to connect a Bluetooth controller if it has the receiver. This model ships with 2 Bluetooth controllers shown in my box opening video. The problem I had with the N64 controller is there was not enough buttons to assign the dedicated hotkey. I use a pc controller that looks and feels like an Xbox controller but it has extra buttons on the face to assign a hot key. Normally you can use "select" as the hot key but the N64 controller doesn't have a select button.

I didn't update mine. If you do, you might encounter some bugs but they can be fixed if you know what you are doing. If you are looking to update, do you know if there is a feature you would be getting out of it that it is worthing updating for?

I’m looking for a console that can play N64,PS1 and PS2 games well, can anyone recommend something for me please. I don’t mind how much I have to spend I just really miss playing games
I had ordered the x2 , and after a few days the screen went black after the kinhank loading screen. So it’s return time. I ordered the x2 pro hoping it will be better. I tried a lot to troubleshoot my problems but no luck. I’m not a techie haha. It’s a great system though, had all the games I wanted to play. What’s the difference between 64 gb or 250 gb? I’m sure lots more games, but is it just a better running machine? I ordered the 62 gb x2 pro so I hope it’s still up to par.
The only difference between the 2 is going to be storage. If you plan on playing the newer games. N64 and newer, get the larger memory card. As for the black screen, I have never encountered that problem. One thing I will say though, is you should be shutting down the system before powering it off. Try removing the micro SD card and booting it up. Then turn off the machine and put the SD card back in and reboot it.
@Emma-dh1lx I am going to do a tutorial video on this. The best way for me to shut down the system is to press start in the home screen and select the option on the bottom that says shut down. At that point you might get a screen that says saving meta data. Wait until the screen goes black. Once it goes back, unplug your system. You can plug it back it to start it up. Leave the button in the back pressed on, all the time.

@djcoolsymi4799 Honestly, I do not know. If you experiment with this and it works let me know. I did try and swap a 256 gb for one that runs on the Odroid N+ and was unsuccessful.
@quickskillz well, super X2 will arrive here around 10-15/12 since need a month from Banggood. When I'll have it in my hands I'll make a clone of SD and will check on GT king. In worst scenario I broke a cheap SD card of 10€ 😅😅😅. But if it works will be awesome to use it in a stronger box, my beelink is still on official OS, so is also android 9 like super x2

@@quickskillz Thanks for getting back to me...I was tinkering with the video resolution earlier today..My wifi kept flickering on and off with this system when suddenly my game began freezing...Then I restarted it as it went through each system and this took close to ten minutes. Keep in mind, this was on the 4k TV .What resolution should I keep it at,? 10801? I then hooked it up to Samsung Smart high def TV and it worked much better...Then as I was playing baseball Stars, the sound suddenly came off...Not sure exactly what occurred...Sound in menu still works..The music in the games that we cannot play works well...Very odd...lol
I heard in some amazon reviews that the x2 suddenly stops working after light use over a few months. Have you experienced anything like this personally?
Mine is still working. I follow a shut down procedure that is recommended by Emeulec. While on the home screen, I press the menu button and shut down from the option. Depending on what you are playing it might take 2-3 minutes for it to shut down. I get a screen called saving meta data. Once the device powers down itself, I unplug it from the wall. I never press the power supply button. Once you plug it back in, it auto starts.
It is very tempting to shut down from the game you are in by just pressing the power off button in the back. These are reconfigured Android TV boxes and the power off button doesn't seem to be the best way to power on and off. I leave the button pressed in all the time and use the in-game menu to power it off.
Do you know if you can cheat with certain games. I remember being a kid and always using the jump higher cheats on mega Man or sonic just for fun. Also I'm almost 40 I suck now 😊
If the og game had cheats the same methods can be used to use the cheats here. There is a way to add GameShark style cheats as well but I never tried it.

I got the console and there is a cheat menu in the retroarch but all the tutorial videos don't work because they tell me to update it through retroarch and I can't because it won't do the cheats thing on the updates I don't know why. I read through the specs on the x3 and x4. Aside from the chip, there is no difference in how they operate. If you are inclined to play 90's games or older, you will be good to save the money and get the x2. If you feel like you will play dreamcast or newer, you may have a better experience with the x3 or x4. However the x2 pro could handle them in my review. I stand by my recommendation of getting the 256 gb storage as the newer games take close to a gig per game. If you know you will be content with the older gen games, the 64 gb system is your best bet and save the extra $20-$30.

@wordsmusic6091 Have you connected a mouse and keyboard to your device? It should recognize it. I'll give it a go on my end and see if I can get them to work.
If you plug the included micro SD card to computer. You will have access to all the roms. As long as you know how to run the roms via emulation, you will be able to drag the files off the micro SD card and run them in other emulators. Keep in mind you will likely need a Micro SD card reader or adapter to SD card.

How do we change the OS? are there any alternatives to Emuelec? I saw that emuelec is out of date
I would not change the OS as it is built for the Andriod box that powers it. You can update it if you connect to the internet.

I got the console and there is a cheat menu in the retroarch but all the tutorial videos don't work because they tell me to update it through retroarch and I can't because it won't do the cheats thing on the updates I don't know why. I think there's a way to create the cheats I haven't figured out a way to make them work yet please tell me you can fix this

I read through the specs on the x3 and x4. Aside from the chip, there is no difference in how they operate. If you are inclined to play 90's games or older, you will be good to save the money and get the x2. If you feel like you will play dreamcast or newer, you may have a better experience with the x3 or x4. However the x2 pro could handle them in my review. I stand by my recommendation of getting the 256 gb storage as the newer games take close to a gig per game. If you know you will be content with the older gen games, the 64 gb system is your best bet and save the extra $20-$30.

Commodore 64 had a very complicated controller. @wordsmusic6091 Have you connected a mouse and keyboard to your device? It should recognize it. I'll give it a go on my end and see if I can get them to work.
Can you add the roms from this device to other devices?
If you plug the included micro SD card to computer. You will have access to all the roms. As long as you know how to run the roms via emulation, you will be able to drag the files off the micro SD card and run them in other emulators. Keep in mind you will likely need a Micro SD card reader or adapter to SD card.
What is the extra sd card for? The 4gb
I believe it is the OS for the Android TV. I have never needed it.

I don't think so. Also, light guns do not work with this unless you get light sensors for the tv.
Can this mini console use up to 4 controllers?

I have successfully connected 4 controllers however it is cumbersome to set up all 4. This is more critical of Emuelec than the device itself.
